Birchbox February 2013

Today was a great mail day my Birchbox and then the Ipsy subscription I ordered for my daughter for her birthday both came. First up here is a peak of what I got from Birchbox. The Ipsy bag will follow have to wait for my daughter to come home so she can open it then will post:).

Birchbox always makes me smile because for $10 I have found this and the Ipsy beauty bag to be the best for the price and quality. I also will never complain when my Birchbox has nail polish:).

Let me start with the Ghirardelli milk chocolate with caramel:). I'm dieting but caramel is my favorite and Ghirardelli is one of my favorites. I ate it as soon as I opened the box lol after I got a quick photo lol:). Like it says in the card inside everyone deserves a little sweetness:). Loved it thank you Birchbox. Since it is valentine's week I figure I will be cheating with an amazing dinner date at my favorite spot Thursday so one chocolate won't hurt.

Red Carpet ready is the theme for this months box. Miss Jessie's Pillow soft curls was first sample. I have read a lot of great things about this product so I'm excited to try it:). Specially since I have been laying off the flat ironing lately to let my hair repair from over coloring last couple years, I love any product that I can use to make my hair soft and I can wear it natural which is curly:). Pillow soft curl is a quick drying styling lotion that is perfect for achieving big, soft, curly hair that we all dream about. Pillow soft curl is the first "fabric softener" type lotion for your hair leaving your curls clothesline fresh and fluffy soft. Sounds great:). It claims to transform nightmarish hair into dreamy curls. I will be trying this tomorrow after my am gym visit so stay tuned for a review:). Full size retails for $22.

Next up is Vasanti Brighten up! Enzymatic face rejuvenator. This exfoliating cleanser uses pro-grade microderm crystals and papaya enzymes to brighten skin. Full size retails for $34.

Then inside the little Birchbox package was my favorite, nail polish. This month I got another Color Club polish. Color Club Wild Cactus. Shoo away winter blues with this on trend emerald green. Full size retails for $8. Color is a bright blue green, love it:).

Also last was Dr. Tart black label detox BB balm. From the brand that brought you BB reams this gold standard formulation has mineral SPF 25 and a satiny matte finish. Retails for $36 in fu size. I have used Dr. Tart before and love it:). Like to have small purse size SPF always since I live somewhere that is sunny year round and can always use a little SPF if I make a park pit stop after school or a quick walk before or after dinner.

Great box this month. Birchbox always is a hit for me because I love to try new items and love samples. My local beauty supply store always has lots of great free samples every time I purchase anything and it is wonderful to try new products before you commit to paying full price for a full size bottle to only discover it isn't for you. Everyone has different needs, preferences and all our skin/hair responds different to products.

Enjoy the photos and will have Ipsy beauty glam bag photos later.

If you like what you see from my posts about Birchbox I have a link on my blog to sign up:). I recommend this subscription if you like samples and beauty products.
