OPI DS Magic

This is my swatch for OPI DS Magic. These are some of my favorites from OPI. This color was so hard to capture on camera. The photos look brighter. It is a gorgeous deep blue with light blue glitter, holo glow and purple. It looks stunning as you move around in the light.

I applied a base coat, Butter London nail foundation. Then two coats of OPI DS magic. One coat fully covers but two coats made it look even shinier and prettier. Can't wait to try DS Reserve a pink with iridescent holo glitter.

I love this color. OPI is my favorite polish lately. Not just the amazing colors, but creamy formula, lasts long, applies amazing and haven't had one shade let me down.

Before I went shopping and made my opi wish list I googled photos of colors and went on pinterest to mark my favorites. Can't wait to swatch Miami Beet, Honk if you love OPI and Teal the cows come home:). Thank you Barb. You rock. Love them all.

Looking for a new nail buddy, just got one new one but after holidays two moved and one I lost contact with. Let me know if anyone is interested in swapping or making wish lists to exchange. I am finishing my inventory list and making a new wish list. I am looking for some indie and rare brand polishes that you can't find in stores. Dying to try England and Essence brands too.

Enjoy photos was so hard to capture true color, it looks a lot brighter and lighter then it really appears in person and is gorgeous. Great work OPI:).

Essie Turquoise and Caicos Joby Nail Art Tiffany inspired manicure

Posting some photos of my Tiffany inspired manicure I did using Essie turquoise and Caicos nail polish along with the amazing Joby Nail Art decals. I got some amazing variety of Joby decals and been using them a lot! They are super cute and easy to apply. Love them an recommend them to everyone, I get lots of compliments and comments about them:). Everyone thinks they are painted on.

These super cute bows have rhinestones in some of them in the middle of the bow. I will be posting many more photos including ones with all the nails done using the decals. I use tweezers to apply them once my polish is dry, make sure it is dry cause if it is wet it leaves and indent which isn't pretty. Then I apply a top coat and it looks almost seem less like it was painted on. They stay on as long as your polish and remove very easy with polish remover.

I applied base coat of Sally Hansen's maximum growth nourishing base coat. Then three coats of the Essie Turquoise and Caicos cause two coats was still looking streaky in spots. I also have china glaze for Audrey that is a Tiffany inspired turquoise but that also is streaky to apply. Wanted something a little different so went with the Essie polish this time. After the coats dried I applied two decals one of each now with a rhinestone from the Joby collection and then topped all nails with a top coat of Out The Door, my favorite along with Poshe.

Orly and Color Club Swatches

I decided to try out my deals from TJ Maxx yesterday. Didn't have a lot of time to prep and polish so just swatched a few for tonight then after trying out five colors I decided to go with Material Girl Phantom. I will feature photos of that and details in next post.

Yesterday I got a mini four pack of Color Club polishes for $3.99 I believe threw out the box. I swatched two they don't have names or numbers which is odd I grabbed box and they are the In True Fashion collection and they were $4.99. No names still. The one on my thumb looks like a iridescent gold/green color. On my nail it looked gold with a slight green tone when I moved it around. The other color I sampled was a rust metallic color which was my favorite of the two. I have two other colors a dark blue and a purple, green iridescent color almost like Hard Candy, Beetle. I will sample those when my nails chip.

Then last up was the two Orly colors. I got Emberstone and Stone Cold. Both gorgeous. I love the glitter look and they both applied very nice. Emberstone looks orange in the bottle but on my nails had a pink look to it but lately I been wondering if I'm a little color blind lol. Things never seem to be what they appear lol.

I will post more photos of my full manicure with Material girl Phantom. That is on my ring finger and I loves it that I decided to go with that color. The Orly polishes were $3.99 a bottle at TJ Maxx. I rarely buy anything full price so not sure how much they are normally I believe about $8-9 a bottle depending on where you shop.

Got shoes, a purse, a few dresses then a lot of cute sweater tops and long sleeve tops for me and my daughters along with jeans for my little one and all at amazing low prices. My favorite part of living in south Florida is that this time of year they clearance out shorts, tanks, sandals and summer clothes which we live in pretty much year round unless we have a cool front. I hear we have one coming behind this storm. Can't wait for sweaters, scarves and boots! Yay.

Essie samples:)

I was bored and decided to sample out some colors either I haven't worn or it has been awhile.

I sampled Essie brand and the colors are go overboard, turquoise and Caicos, smokin hot and very structured. Go overboard and smokin hot were my two favorites and also liked very structured. I love blue and turquoise colors are my absolute favorites but this turquoise and Caicos was very watery.

It took three thick coats and still looked weird to me also kind of streaky. Normally I have found this before in china glaze but Essie has always been pretty good as far as the thickness and consistency of the color etc. I have a couple of light pink colors that need a few coats to look solid or to cover nail good, but was odd with this one. Was wondering if anyone else has this color and if it was the same way for them.

Posting a couple photos. Please ignore my cuticles been doing a lot of painting and crafting around the house and need to give myself a good manicure to fix up my cuticles. I also broke several nails last week and this am:( need to do a trim and try to make them look as uniform as possible.

Mid week Mani and Pedi

Here are some quick photos of my mid week polish change manicure and pedicure. Broke a nail so filed them down and am sad to see them stubs but like then shorter when I have to bake. Easier to work with fondant when nails are shorter.

On my toes I did Zoya Raven two coats with one coat of my Essie Matte about you. Then I did a French tip using one coat of the Raven a topped tip with out the door, my new go to fast dry top coat. I have used seche, Sally Hansen and poshe. My #1 was always a toss up between Sally Hansen and Posche. Usually Sally Hansen cause it is the less expensive but a friend recommended this Out The Door so I checked it out and for the price it is worth it. Seche dries quick but to thick i get scratches and a lot of shrinkage when I use it. This out the door dries fast, has shine and so far I have used it a couple times and been very happy. My Disney manicure lasted till I removed it which was like four days but would have lasted longer.

Now quickly on to hands, I used the OPI Oktoberfest new fall color, one coat amazing coverage! Then topped one nail accidentally middle finger, I usually do pointer or ring finger but swatched the colors earlier and did sample on my middle didn't want to remove it so just did same on opposite hand, with Essie Luxe Effects. I am obsessed with this Essie lol. It's called Shine of the times and it looks iridescent but changes color to almost blend perfect with every polish I use it on.

Only two more days till weekend. In a week I celebrate 14 years of marriage. Amazing how time flies. Will have to do a special polish for the occasion, we were going to the keys to a island with all inclusive resort but due to my mom's accident have had to postpone till she is better. I am good with that I have a hard time leaving my girls for a couple days I have attachment issues lol. Happy shopping and hunting

OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest review..

I have been dealing hunting the passed two weeks and wow between my Sally's clearance hit, bogo Zoya at local beauty supply, amazing steals on EBay, great finds at TJ Maxx and so much more I have acquired a lot of new colors:).

I also placed a order for some indie and out of country brands I have read a lot about in other blogs. I wanted to score a Lynnderella polish but these are hard to find and on eBay they are ridiculous priced. I wonder do they have real liquid gold or what. I actually found the makers blog and have heard she is not a fan of being called an indie maker, also that she grew up without a lot of money which makes me wonder why on earth she would ever sell her polishes for upwards of 50-60 a bottle. I have tried a lot of brands and by no way am a professional or know what is the best and what is worst but wow one day I want to try this stuff. I would think not coming from money she would want to make her nail polish a little more affordable. Personal opinion though and don't want to make anyone mad.

Back to my scores this week, one was this OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest. With fall here pretty much I am stocking up on festive colors for the upcoming season as well as for Christmas and winter. That means you will see a lot of rust, gold, brown, earth tones, fall colors, Halloween colors, purple, orange then of course reds, greens and even blues for winter:).

I saw this polish and had to have it! Was at ulta to buy a hologram polish but way to expensive for this girls budget I refuse to pay full price on a lot of items there has to be a sale, discount or coupon involved. Luckily I had a coupon for $3.50 off 10 purchase. I grabbed this polish for 8.50 then got a ulta brand polish for my daughter which was on sale for $2.00. So I paid 5.50 for this opi in the end:$! Excited.

As soon as I got home a swatches this color along with some others I got via nail mail, an eBay purchase and another opi designer series I snagged at tjmaxx, actually got two then went back into ulta to grab another DS OPI called Glo which the lady rang up for 8.50 was 10.50 I thought plus got another sale polish to save another 3.50. Love my coupons.

I applied London Butter nail foundation as my base cause I have a sample bottle I got, then two thin coats of the Oktoberfest. This has amazing coverage. I have very thin fingers and nails so the opi brush is a little large for me I tend to have to clean up a lot after but I love the texture and coverage of this polish. Then I applied a top coat of my Essie Luxe Effects I got over the weekend when I got my Essie matte about you top coat. I love the look. Has that total fall look and let me tell you photos do this NO justice. It is gorgeous.

I also swatched some Zoya colors I scooped for holidays on eBay and some The Hits polishes I got with the zoya. I will post photos and more later about those. Also will be using the designer OPI polishes too.

I have all my nail products out cause I have been buying a lot of shades that are the same plus have gotten a few I just don't care for. Planning to have a giveaway coming up to help generate more followers and attention for my blogs so thinking of giving away ones I have doubles or close to the same of along with ones I swatched and just don't like the color on me.

Also I got a great project for this week, I am going to make a nail polish stand for displaying all my colors so that way I see them all and know what I don't need and what I could use:). Got several great ideas from pinterest so made a trip to dollar store for some foam board, nails and have some cute ribbon or duct tape to decorate with. Will have step by step photos and tutorial to post soon.

My mom was injured Friday in Disney while we were on our trip to celebrate my daughters birthday so I have a lot going on but promise when all is settled I will post away:). Enjoy my swatch and would love any feed back.
