Summer accessories

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday, hope everyone had an amazing weekend. It was gorgeous here and the beach just keeps getting nicer. The water was crystal clear and flat still, hoping it stays this way but once storms starting coming in daily it will bring in the seaweed usually around mid June. For now enjoying every moment of the gorgeous waters and weather. 

Accessories are my favorite items, I love to style my daily outfits often around my accessories. From amazing purses, shoes, jewelry and more, I love unique and eclectic styles with a passion for hand made pieces. An inexpensive summer accessory every woman should have is a bandana or scarf. You can find them almost everywhere, I got several colors and patterns at Target and Walmart a few months ago, I had to lighten my hair to color mettalics and I bought them to cover my hair in the sun but soon was using them around my ankle, wrist and neck not just for my hair.

The upside down moon or horn shape is a double necklace from Forever21 awhile back and the handmade tassel piece is from 31ements on Etsy. Link will be included below. I love to layer up on my neck and wrist, my necklaces start with a turquoise choker by Ettika Jewelry which I am proud to announce I was contacted to become a product review ambassador for them. I will have two new pieces soon to show you all and style into my summer outfits.  The handmade Opalite piece is by FawninginLove on Etsy one of my favorite stores for jewelry. Custom pieces made for my daughters and I by Fawning in Love on Etsy. The handmade beaded and tassel bracelets go perfectly with these gold trimmed white shells with starfish pendants and lovely coral/blue accents. Great bridal party jewelry for a beach themed wedding. I was so touched by the thoughtful pieces. She has such an amazing talent and eye for details. 

Two more handmade pieces by Fawning in Love again, she really is a favorite of mine for some time now from Etsy. Infuse found here shop over a year ago valentines day time looking for a Bison ring for my Texas summer trip. I love buffalo and bison or cattle skulls, she had the most amazing pieces and her shop caught my attention which I have been going back often for more pieces to add to my collection. The long blue beaded piece has a shell finished horn shaped accent.

More accessorizing with my pineapple pendant necklace from Old Navy a couple of summers ago, a tusk from Fawning in love in turquoise and also have a royal blue color in same pendant, then my horn moon double layer chain from Forever21, my friend at Fawning in Love has the same pendant on single chain in gold, silver and rose gold.

Blue is my favorite color so own a lot of turquoise, opalite, blue agate, and other blue gems, crystals or stones. These beaded necklaces and bracelets are all mostly older pieces I have collected styled with a beaded oil diffuser bracelet with black lava beads and turquoise by Simply Quinn's and the turquoise bar necklace with silver tassel ends is by Fawning in Love.

Newest addition to my Pam & Gela graphic tee and tank collection. Scored this on sale brand new and love the beaded embellished lettering with silver metallic detail, pairs amazing with my faux leather Pam & Gela flared skirt and my metallic Silver leather mini skirt.

Added some sandals with chains and rhinestones for an edgy rocker vibe along with my positive message GoodWorks bracelet in black leather with silver metallic lettering and a chunky Rock & Republic statement necklace. Purse is from Forever21, most of my accessories like my shoes and necklace are older, the purse is a little older but they carry a similar one still and then the bracelet you can find same styles on the Goodwork(s) website. 

My purse clip is handmade by Simply Quinn's and you can find a link under my favorite shops. It has a silver feather pendant, black crystal and turquoise stone. Love these pendants to add a little personal touch to my purses.

Shoe trends from high end to affordable

Spring shoe trends are starting to be revealed, it is looking like the lace up flats  and heels will be staying for around for the spring season. I found a lot of styles from high end designers costing up to 250-480 and then of course by budget conscious side found the hottest low priced trendy lace flats and heels for 24-36. I have a black and camel pair then recently ordered a red pair and black heels with laces. I personally love the trend. I really love the gladiator sandals all heights from shorter to knee height from the spring and summer of last year, and for me this have a similar look. Below are some of my favorite picks from Nordstroms, Forever21 and a shop I discovered last year in the fall, Fashion Junkee.

Above you can see I have also added some lug sole and chunky platform sole sandals which have been coming back intimately for some time. My teen daughter is obsessed with the suede creepers, she also now has the Mary Jane creepers and several pairs of the chunky platform sandals she loves. I will be highlighting all the links to the shoes below in all price ranges then I will include a link to the Fashion Junkee sites shoe section. They have many stylish lace up flats available now and if you are looking for some cute rain boots similar to the Hunter boots they have some cute styles for under $50. Love the colors and even considered getting a couple pairs for my daughter and myself. Slip the Hunter socks on and no one would even know they aren't Hunter boots. Lol. All that matters is they are cute, keep your feet dry and are affordable.

Spring styles from Forever21

Earlier this week I did a post showing some of my favorite new trends for the upcoming spring season. I posted some styles by Alice and Olivia from their new pre-spring line I loved, then of course some similar styles for less by Forever21. Since I have received several emails from Forever21 with new arrivals and they are on point with all the trends I have been hearing about at work that rocked the runways for spring 2016.

Love the white a line grid design skirt, it's so similar to the Alice and Olivia style that I ordered one for myself. Then they have the culottes and gaucho style jeans which are super cute.  I am going to grab me a pair like the ones above with tie waist great for spring break and summer. Patches and frayed bottom jeans are hot right now, saw the jeans above and added them to my cart for payday. I know my daughter will love them, she is making a vest I got her from Forever21 for Christmas with cut off arms and a distressed look into a vest with all her favorite bands patches. 

I also love the chambray off the shoulder ruffle dress and the pleated floral dress. I was laughing because every time I get a email with new items from my favorite shops I will add my favorite items to the cart then payday I go back and narrow down what styles I want to order, right now Forever21 is so hot I have 34 items in my cart lol. I just ordered 3 skirts, two tops, and two pairs of pants last payday but I will for sure be ordering a few items this next payday. I need those culottes and they have a culotte romper I love.

I also saw a few shoes and tops. I need to clean out my closet and make room for spring since winter never happened here in Florida, we just had our first real cool front in the 60's. They are calling for another cool front next week but again only supposed to hit the 60's. I am going to post items on eBay the end of the month and will add a link here on my blog for anyone who wants to grab some cute trends that are like new and some have the tags on still.

I have to say Forever21 has come a long way because three years ago I rarely shopped there for myself only for my teen daughter but lately I am buying styles every payday,  everyone always asks me what designer thinking the items are high end designer pieces because their styles are so on point with the latest trends. I swear eBay, Forever21 and some of my favorite online shops keep me in style on my tight budget. I really can't ever say I don't have anything to wear lol. I have a lot of stuff I haven't worn yet. Fall Trends

Below are some more amazing trends for Fall that I love and have picked up for my closet. All items are from Forever21 and I look forward to styling all these items and sharing them with everyone soon. Enjoy. 

Color block is huge for Fall and this open front poncho style kimono is amazing. Love the colors and design. Suede and fringe are also two designs you will see are hot off the runways of Fall fashion week. Here I have picked out a gorgeous fringe faux suede skirt and an adorable clutch. Button down skirts are trending right now and let me tell you Forever21 has a huge selection of cute denim, suede and printed fabrics to pick from. I love maxi dresses and who doesn't love a gorgeous bohemian inspired floral print maxi, this long floral dress will look great with a suede fringe vest and ankle boots this fall. I also love the long sleeve short tea length dress with vest, a gorgeous alternative for the warmer Florida weather. As soon as I saw this fringe cardigan in gray I had to have since it matches my new Kristin Cavallari gray fringe boots. Gorgeous and can't wait to wear both pieces as soon as possible. I have been looking for a shorter length fringe vest in black and found it at Forever21, going to pair this with dresses and skirts to dress up my look. 

I am obsessed with front button down skirts, I have a few mid length ones and two shorter lengths skirts. I had to purchase the camo which is almost exact to the shorter denim skirt I got around my birthday. These are super cute and figure flattering as well as having the 70's vibe I love. I also fell in love with this denim dress as soon as I saw it, once I tried it on it was even more amazing. It fits so good and is so comfy, can't wait to take this on my upcoming cruise in October. 

More fringe skirts I went with black, because I have gotten so much brown and gray stuff for fall wanted to make sure I had a few black items to match with pieces I own already. The long black button down maxi skirt has a gorgeous moon print design, I love anything with a sun, moon and star design. The top left is a cream open front, wide collared cardigan with a tassel fringe detail that I couldn't resist. It runs larger so maybe size down, and is so comfy.

Have been really spending a lot of time at the doctor working on new treatment and getting my health on track. Ft. Worth fun fashion, Texas

Hey y'all, hope everyone is having a fab week. I know we are having a blast. Vacation has been amazing and Texas is awesome. I love the vintage and antique stores. Amazing bohemian, country, southwest, gypsy and hippie inspired apparel, home decor and more. It's just awesome plus all the wild life. We have a pack of deer that come to the yard every night at dusk then the neighbor breeds horses so we get to visit with them every morning when we wake and afternoon or evening when we return. They have babies along with the deer, which are cute to watch play. My girls and of course my hubby and I are really happy with our choice of rental properties. 

Today we are off to the safari, Texas style and then to the Ft. Worth nature preserve to see some Bison. Yesterday we hit the Ft. Worth stockyards and did some shopping, saw cattle and enjoyed some real Texas BBQ. Amazing.

Last night after a long shower to clean up from a hot day, temps reached 103 felt like 120 lol, I ended up in my faithful VS pink sweats. These are the embroidered logo boyfriend sweats in blue. The graphic tank I got in New Orleans at the original Peaches records. Love my graphic tanks and tees, also got a distressed Rolling Stones lyric tank there, then I have gotten several other aweome tees and tanks which you will see soon. 

Yesterday went with a graphic tee I bought on Etsy, the shop is called Wooden Arrow shop, you can find the sweet Christie's shop Instagram page, which has a link to her Etsy shop in her bio @wooden.arrow.shop. She makes some amazing jewelry, embroidered hand stitched decorative hoops and awesome vintage finds. Be sure to check out her shop and follow her on IG. I started stocking up on cute Texas and desert style graphic tops back after Christmas. Always have loved the deer and cattle skull or antler style tees and tops but really started getting in to buffalo while planning our trip to Texas. Found this perfect tee while purchasing some decorative pieces for my bedroom. Couldn't pass it up. Was my third buffalo tee, got my first at Urban Outfitters and then one over spring break in NC.

This was the Cattle walk where they walk the cattle down through the Main Street. Very cool, I love Longhorns and they had a ton. Will have better shots from my DSLR when I get home, haven't had the time I had thought in evenings to upload photos and post on the blog. Sorry. Really enjoying the family time. 

Found the green beaded bracelet in Ft. Worth yesterday. Love it and was $14.99

Hand made by a local designer. Love to support small businesses and creative/inspiring peeps. 

     

We get to wake to these faces and visit with them every afternoon or evening when we get back from adventuring. They have several babies and are so friendly. My girls love horses and the deer are also awesome. We love wildlife since where we live we don't have much really.
