Tuesday Boho Chic by Spell and the Gypsies

Spell & the Gypsy Collective

Love when the week starts on Tuesday and we are just a day closer to Friday. Last night was amazing watching FSU win their game against Ole Miss to start off the season. Hoping this is a sign of what's to come for the remainder of the season.

I decided to start off this rainy gloomy Tuesday feeling confident and beautiful in my Spell and the Gypsy or also known as Spell designs, Folk town mid length dress. This floral print light weight dress is so comfy, made of a light weight gorgeous floral material with tassel neck closures, and 3/4" sleeves is perfect for a day like today. I felt bright and colorful along with feeling very confident ready to take on anything that was thrown my way.

I paired this dress with a white sports bra since it is lower cut, a cream with turquoise embellished accents, and my new Deer Head Statement necklace I won from a local Artisan Gina Black Art you can find her shop on Etsy, and also you can follow her on IG @Ginablack_art. She has some gorgeous handmade pieces, I first saw her work at a local artisan show in down town Ft. Lauderdale where I met my hubby 22 years ago, she had these amazing butterfly wing pendants that caught my daughter's eye and then we were drawn in by her decor and creations.

My purple hair turned out exactly like I wanted, with purple vivid roots, then high and lowlights of violet and indigo Pravana that left my blonde pieces silver once the purple touched what was left. Love my multi dimensional purple and silver hair. Color is Pravana, my stylist uses Olaplex when lifting my roots, and in the dye as well as I use step 3 at home for the first two to three shampoos. I try not to wash it right away, this helps prevent fading or bleeding, I also use cold water only to rinse and sulfate free products only. I do not use shampoo I use Matrix conditioning rinse which is similar to Wen and it cleans while conditioning all in one. This prevents stripping color or the hairs natural oils. I use dry shampoo between washing and I have mixed my own conditioner using several masks and deep conditioners I like then mixing a drop or two of Pravana violet to the conditioner, this helps deposit color every washing so what ever may be stripped out when washing can be added back a little. Usually the Pravana colors last a long time but be prepared if you are considering this for dark towels, bedding and clothing for the first few weeks to a month because the color will and does rub off.

Closer look at the beautiful statement necklace I won by they talented Gina Black Art from South Florida. This gorgeous bronze antiqued gold deer head is an awesome statement piece, especially if you love antlers, cattle skulls and deer heads as much as me. I think this piece looks beautiful with this vintage bohemian vibe floral dress.

My Spell dress is mid length but here I have a belt on so I have it untucked for a skirt and blouse look, you can wear it without the belt or even with the belt but not billowed out like a tucked in blouse.

Since I typed up this post my mail arrived late today and got this gorgeous Spell box and that turquoise cattle skull necklace. All eBay and Poshmark scores.

Addicted to the Spell and the Gypsy Collective line, since they launched he US site I have purchased more items then ever then been really seeking out a few styles I loved that I missed out on. Can't wait for my Jagger skirt to arrive and obsessed with the Pandora skirt and chambray matching floral print button down top with frayed edge. It is gorgeous and have a white Spell cami with lace and tie bottom I ordered along with some other Free People and Urban Outfitter Boho chic tops to wear with this skirt when I don't wear the chambray shirt. Excited to share all my items as they arrive.

Here's to the start of an amazing week and tomorrow already being hump day, so ready for the weekend already lol. Long weekends do that to you, plus I was home Friday for my youngest daughter's birthday so it was hard to wake up early this am.

Peace, love and light always xoxo

Amazing summer break

Tonight I sit here typing this post both sad but happy. I always am sad when summer comes to end because my girls go back to school and reality is back, the early alarms, crazy routines, hectic schedules and missing my daughters. I love summer time because I get to have my girls home with me so we can have fun adventures and get to spend every day bonding. Sure they have their cheer practices and other activities they both are involved in or I have to do different protects for work, but we get to basically enjoy endless hours of time together. Once school returns I feel like they spend more time at school then with me, I basically leave them in the early morning hours not to see them again till after 3 then they have their practices so we maybe spend a few hours together before its time for bed then back to the daily grind again.

Today we spent the morning and early afternoon at the beach, it was amazing. Water was crystal clear and flat. Perfect end to the perfect summer break.

I am happy because both my girls make me so proud with all the amazing things they have achieved, I'm so blessed to have some super smart kids both being gifted or high achievers taken advanced classes or honor AP courses. It's inane my oldest is going to be a junior this year which means only two years left till I'm writing this end of summer post after dropping her off at college. It is so hard being a mom and having to eventually realize that we have to let them go to become who they are meant to be. I want to sometimes just freeze time and keep them here in the safety of my home cuddled up watching our latest favorite Netflix series lol, but I know I have to let them grow, chase their dreams and achieve their goals.

Butterfly World photo, one of our families favorite spots to visit. We have a monarch cocoon ready to open any day. We even have started our own butterfly garden over the summer planting seeds that have grown, new plants and old orchids. Can't wait to share some photos.

I now sit here reflecting on another amazing summer filled with new memories and amazing adventures. We truly had an awesome summer again with another amazing summer road trip, long weekend adventures to the Keys and days floating in the ocean talking, reminiscing and dreaming of the future. I have this feeling that things are about to change for the better. Huge changes are on the horizon and I'm not just talking about my oldest going off to college. We have some big changes with my career coming up, my hubby's job, and moving. We really are about to start an amazing adventure over the next couple of years that in the end will lead to being where my heart has been for over six years. I can't wait to share more in the months and year to come. For now I'm going to leave you with some of my favorite ootd shots from the last week of summer, along with some other fun summer photos of our amazing summer antics and adventures. We always love to explore and are a wanderlust family at heart for sure. I can't wait to share many new adventures in the future along with some really amazing and exciting announcements in the weeks to come.

Heading to bed since my alarm will begin going off again at 5:30 am, but I will say one last thing, it's officially the start of my birthday week. Going to have some fun stuff to share this week along with some spontaneous giveaways. Didn't get the response on the Rafflecopter hosted contest I started a couple of weeks ago to celebrate my 20k followers but I do have all the entries from those who did enter and decided I was going to share some of the many prizes I had set aside with everyone. If you already entered my contest you will be receiving an email from me once I confirm your entries then sending out prizes to everyone. Anyone who wants to win some fun prizes to celebrate my birthday week from some of my fave shops and designers keep an eye out here and in my social media for more chances to win. Figured since it's my birthday and I know I love opening presents I want to surprise all my amazing followers who took the time to enter with their own present.

As always peace, love and light to all. Hope all the teachers and kids going back to school tomorrow, or in the weeks to come have a great first day and week of school. Cheers to another amazing school year and to an awesome upcoming holiday season, may it be Dliteful, full of surprises, love and of course peace xoxo

My arm-stack from the beach today. Wanderer bracelets an amazing brand I joined up with as an ambassador this summer and have been honored to be a part of promoting this amazing brand. Use my code MELISSA20 for 20% off and all sales help secure jobs for local Bali artisans. Excited to bring you more amazing product releases, a bigger discount and more from this amazing brand for fall.

Chill out mom it's just the end of summer break, we have a long weekend coming for Labor Day and the holidays are right around the corner. My girls think I'm so emotional and they are right lol, love those kids so much they are my everything, I absorb and cherish every moment. I'm so blessed to be able to spend all the time I get with them and couldn't imagine it any other way. I would go back and make all the same career and school sacrifices I made to be able to stay home with both as babies because in the end I was still able to chase my dreams and achieve my goals just took a little longer but being a mom has always been first.

The tank is by Chaser brand, shorts are Silver Jeans Co boyfriend shorts in light wash and my compass gold Necklace is from Bikiniluxe.com.

One of my favorite of many amazing birthday presents that have arrived and have many more to share this week. I have been a long time fan of Spell Designs also known as Spell and the Gypsies Collective and Spell of Byron Bay. Since my first kimono a couple years back I have been scooping up whatever I can find, over the summer they launched a US site and I celebrated by ordering some amazing graphic tops for my collection along with making many purchases for my birthday with gift cards and cash I was given for that reason. This skirt is amazing. I also got a few other skirts, couple of dresses, some tops both graphic and floral print, intimate apparel, a kimono, purse, jewelry and more. I have a lot of amazing gypsy bohemian posts and outfits coming soon. The top is older and from Free People. Alex and Ani Bracelets which I can bet the new fall bracelets may be part of my presents this week, I added a few new styles and designs to my wish list earlier in the week. My mom always gets me one or two along with other family and friends. They make amazing gifts and this girl can never have enough. Love to stack, mix n match my arm candy.

Speaking of Alex and Ani this was my butterfly world influence arm stack Monday. Love their wings of change charm, UNICEF butterfly, feather charm and quill bracelet, peridot in honor of my birth month, and other fun pieces I adore.

Another Spell Designs skirt and top, paired with Alex and Ani bracelets and an amazing turquoise and silver squash style necklace with amazing feather details I came across on eBay of course. This skirt is one of my faves and can't wait to share the blue mid dress this week. Yeeeee:).

If you saw my Pam & Gela post the week before last I also stocked up on some pieces I had been wishing for from their awesome huge warehouse clearance sale. It's still going on now and just ordered a few more pieces along with some new fall styles, one more birthday splurge my hubby insisted on. The choker is by another fave Ettika and watch out this week for my new purple locks, my current color is going to be touched up and revamped for fall I can't wait to share it with you all Friday.

Finally ending my photos with one last beach shot from this amazing ocean and beach today. Feeling so blessed and ready for whatever is coming for fall. I have some amazing new brands and brands/designers I have been honored to work with for some time now, their newest fall styles and looks all coming in the weeks ahead. I promise you will love all the new trends and my faves if you like my style or taste. Have an awesome night, sweet dreams xoxo

This cute fringe bohemian inspired head chain is available now at www.ettika.com and if you use the code BOHOBABE you can save $10 off your purchase of this head chain now.

**Photo from Ettika.com not my own

Mine arrived today in the mail and this week I will add some photo of myself wearing it along with sharing posts on my Twitter and Instagram.

The top silver fringe piece is the Paradise fringe head chain, I also got a couple items from their sale section this week, the green beaded Buddha rosary necklace for $9.99 and then the crystal spiked gun metal choker was only $4.99. I was using some of my reward points and wanted to get some extra goodies since I really love Ettika to show my support along with adding some more pieces to my collection. I love Buddhas and love rosary style necklaces.

I picked out the choker because I had liked it for some time and it goes with my rocker vibe style, going to look great with my graphic tee and tank collection. The Gypsy Witch graphic tank is by Spell designs, also known as Spell and the Gypsies Collective. I am expecting the blue and then ordered a few other cute items that should all arrive later this week.

If you have not already checked out my prior Ettika posts just hit search on my blog home screen and enter Ettika, all my older posts dating back to April 2016 should pop up. I have a lot of their chokers, then a few other pieces. I am quickly growing my collection and can't wait to share some new pieces I have coming. Keep an eye out for a feature on another choker perfect for layering with the beaded Surprise you Still chokers I already own then I have a gorgeous charm bracelet that should be here soon.

I'm looking forward to sharing a lot of pieces and new items I have added to my closet for my birthday. I also still have some pieces to get next week since my birthday is Aug 27. Love celebrating birthdays and its super fun because my youngest daughter has her birthday only 6 days after my own. Two Virgo's in the house is always fun. Hope everyone has an awesome weekend. Tomorrow will have a week and summer wrap up with some outfit features from the passed couple weeks I have not posted here and the reveal of my newest hair color. If you love purple you will love my multi purple look. Peace love and light always xoxo

Birthday month, pretty packages

Today my Spell and the Gypsies package arrived. Placed two orders and one was on my porch when I got home today. So excited I have been eyeing these skirts for a few weeks then try to order all their graphic tees and tanks when they come out with new ones but missed one while on vacation. Luckily I found it on eBay from Australia so it is on its way, then I ended up ordering a jacket, white top and mid length blue floral dress also. Those should arrive next week. The shipping was so quick now that they have their US site, and the customer service is amazing. I had some sizing questions and they answered me right back, they were on point too cause I went with the mediums and everything fits so good. I will be wearing these pieces a lot. I posted everything earlier this week for you when I ordered.

Love this graphic tank with eagle and guns, matches amazing with my new floral high low handkerchief style skirts. The orange is the revolver skirt and has the cutest lace trimmed pockets. I got the below tank off eBay to go with it then plan to wear the lighter floral skirt and graphic tank together.

Gypsy witch singlet was sold out when I was ordering my festival fox tank but found on eBay for $50. A lot of them were selling for $100-180 so I think I got lucky.

I have been admiring these squash turquoise style necklaces for some time and found this one with the feathers which are my favorite on eBay. I ordered from a store out of TN, was only $17 for the earrings and necklace. Perfect for my boho gypsy looks.

This was only $5 and couldn't resist since I love Cattle Skulls and turquoise.

Saw this dress was released a few days after I ordered my skirts and tank so had to grab this with some other pieces I have been wanting. Also got some stuff from Pam & Gela I posted earlier this week that arrived then waiting on two other packages from their huge warehouse sale, a Nordstrom order, then more eBay finds. Can't wait for everything to arrive so I can clean out my closet. For sure will be rocking these new looks this week and I will post photos of everything else once they arrive.

Hope everyone has an amazing weekend, my kids go back to school a week from Monday. Sad to see summer end as always, love having my kids home and being able to spend some quality time together. Plan to adventure some this week I have been wanting to take them to Butterfly world, Rapids water park and then of course the beach. Praying for some sunny days. Enjoy the end of the summer and can't wait to continue to celebrate my birthday all month with you. Be sure to enter my celebration of reaching 20k followers on Instagram with a contest for my birthday month with 3 packages containing some of my favorite brands, shops and designers. The entry deadline is Aug 31 and I will announce a winner by Sept 6. Peace love and light to all xoxo

Military Monday style & Cyber Monday from Fashion Junkee

Happy Monday, it's always hard after a long weekend to go back to the grind on Monday but today was even harder with the gloomy skies and rain. Luckily my Fashion Junkee tunic in green is so comfy and stylish, I can go to work and about my day in style without being uncomfortable.

I paired this amazing top with some camouflage leggings I had from Marshall's and my OTK (over the knee) eBay scored Forever 21 suede high heel boots. This top really is versatile and again did I mention comfy. I could wear it all day every day if I had enough of them. I went with a medium and normally can wear a large in most tops but it is oversized. I was hoping by sizing down it wouldn't lose the oversized look, and lucky for me it's just right.

I scored these boots for under $25 and couldn't resist since they retail for close to $45 in store. They are brand new and easily my favorite pair of high heel boots for this season. I have several OTK boots in black and grey, these are the perfect time of brownish grey. Just wanted I wanted so I can wear them with grey and brown tones.

Got a mail delivery from my favorite Etsy shop, Fawninginlove today and wow I am so in love with my new Bison/Buffalo skull necklace that matches my ring. She also sent me a gorgeous opalite triangle pendant necklace I adore. Opalite is one of my favorite stones or gems love how it glows and the energy it has.

Be sure to head over to Fashion Junkee for their Cyber Monday sale, they have lots of markdowns along with an additional 20% and a mystery prize for orders over $150. Love this site and have been shopping with them for a while. Customer service is top notch, fast shipping and high quality fashion.  Use code CYBERMONDAY15

Here you can see both of the lovely new necklaces and my ring. Also wearing a bar necklace that was part of a set from Pacsun and of course my charmed arms are Alex and Ani beauties.

Here's to a happy Monday and the start of another fabulous week xoxo.

Friday fun post, camo and military style with some ootd sharing..

Military Inspired Outfits & more...

Happy Friday fashion lovers. Wanted to do a post before the weekend to add a few of my ootd posts from this week that I just posted today since I have not been feeling well all week. I am happy to say I am feeling better and praying that I will continue to feel better till my next treatment in another 4-6 weeks.

I have always had a love for military influenced fashion pieces and wanted to share a few favorites I found on eBay while online shopping yesterday.

Adore this army green vest and my mind just races with all kinds of cute pieces I already own that I could style this with not just for the fall and winter but even spring. I love how they paired it with a pair of distressed denim shorts, sandals and a small bag. I ordered this off eBay for $15 and can't wait to receive it.

Who doesn't need an amazing camouflage jacket? I ordered two last night, I decided on this amazing patches jacket with cargo pockets and then went with an oversized camo and floral print jacket, both were under $40. I will post a photo of the floral and camo one shortly.

I love to pair my camo gear and army green pieces with black muscle tanks or graphic tees. I have picked up several Spiritual Gangster tanks, tees and sweatshirts on eBay for under $30 some as low as $12. Love this graphic, "Do all things with love". Great quote. ✌️❤️

Scooped up this cute fringe side graphic tank, "Be yourself," also found on eBay and was $15 with shipping. Can't wait to pair this with camo or black jeans.

//All items above I found while doing one of my nightly fashion searches on Ebay except for this lovely suede skirt I found on Polyvore and link is in a prior post.//

Last up found this cute skirt on Polyvore playing with some outfit ideas last night and had to order for my closet. Love suede and fringe for fall. Can't wait to pair this with some cute fringe heels or sandals and some of my many graphic tees or tanks and even some cute tops I have. Love this style and anything vintage or bohemian inspired.

My camo skirt can be found here: Camo Pencil skirt $29.99

Save 10% if you use my link to Tara Lynn's Boutique

One of my own ootd posts from this week. I found this amazing pencil skirt in a camo print last year from Tara Lynn's boutique. For $29 it was a great find and is one of my favorite mid length skirts. I paired it with a black graphic tank, from Lola and Darla, and army green sweater style vest.

//Tank Top by Lola and Darla, can be found:  I'd Copy Me too tank
Also available in white and is $32//

//My Camo Cowhide Nine West heels are many years old but found these similar style: Camo Heels//

//Sweater Vest was also an older item in my closet so did some searching and found:
Sierra Trading Sweater Vest//

//Also liked this non sweater material, open front, sheer material vest, with cute zip up front and tie sides as an option for a similar look:
Cichic Army Green Vest//

Of course being such a huge lover of camouflage I do own several pairs of camo shoes, from sandals, sneakers and of course heels. These cute heels are made by Nine West and I got this a few years ago for under $40 at TJ Maxx. They are a cowhide material and love the pattern. It also helps they are unbelievably comfortable. For me I often don't wear heels because they aren't the most comfortable and I am on my feet a lot running around so I like to have on comfortable shoes. I am not one to give up my comfort for height like some ladies, I am luckily tall for a lady being 5'8-5'9 barefoot but I do love to wear heels with skirts because they do make your legs look amazing. If I buy a pair of heels and discover they aren't comfortable after a few wears or adding a gel insert, I donate or sell them. Sadly usually I can't tell till after I wear them several times.

My jewelry is always important to me. I don't like to leave the house without or j feel bare. Here I picked out a Turkish style gold tone necklace that was a gift along with some gold Alex and Ani bangles and my favorite ring, a bison skull ring made by Fawning in love, one of my favorite Etsy shops.

Totem Necklace, Totem Pole Necklace, Spike Necklace, Turquoise Necklace, Howlite Necklace, Gypsy Necklace, Boho Necklace, bohemian necklace

//Turquoise necklace I am wearing is no longer available but you can purchase a similar look, pictured above by same designer here: Totem Necklace, Turquoise $22//

Above I am wearing a turquoise or aqua blue, fringe sleeved tank with Aztec print I actually found at Sports Authority a few years back when shopping for a camping trip. It is made by Rip Curl and have it in a few colors. I have always loved fringe details and I adore this tank's fringed sleeve detail. I paired it with some Aztec printed leggings, super comfy and soft. These are cream with turquoise, aqua, coral and black Aztec pattern. These are from Bohemian Vibe Boutique. The turquoise skull pendant I made while in TN with my girls at one of those bead stores. Have a matching bracelet as well.

//Leggings are sold out but they have a few other styles still in stock:

//My Buddha bracelet was made by Gypsy Haven on Etsy and she has some similar styles in her shop along with lots of other great handmade creations: Gypsy Haven Etsy, Buddha Beaded Bracelet//

My turquoise bar style necklace with silver fringe is from Fawning in Love on Etsy, the arrowhead silver bangle with turquoise stones is from Rocksbox when they had one of their inventory clearance sales. The beaded Buddha bracelet was handmade by a lovely lady I met on Instagram, she has a shop on Etsy. You can find her on Instagram @gypsyhavenjewel and she has a link to her etsy store in her profile.

//Top is really old and unsure where it was from or even how long I have had it. I do however have the link for the skirt, the triple layer faux stone necklaces are no longer available though, from Forever 21, but they have lots of similar styles. Also check out my post on the new Fall line at Maurice's by Lacey Ryan she has some amazing layered necklaces.  I just ordered close to $200 worth of her new line,  love everything.//

//Vintage inspired, a line, button down front, jean skirt: Forever21 Denim Skirt//

Last up the same skirt I have had on repeat many times since I got it, this vintage feel, a line, denim, button front skirt from Forever21. Was going for a simple look so paired it with this light weight white tank with blue floral design, added the hand made beaded wood belt, which matches the back of my tank. The back of my tank is an open back, with thin straps that are joined together by a wooden O ring. Bracelet was a find from NC and is hand made with shades of blue, brown and gold beads.

Necklaces are from Forever21 and is a three layer set. The shortest one has a faux opalite stone pendant, then mid is a feather and longest is a faux brown agate slice stone. Still rocking my orange and coral, blonde ombré from summer. Think I am going to keep it for fall since orange is a great fall shade and will look fabulous with all the fall colors.

Hope you enjoyed my post and excited to be bringing another feature designer to the blog soon, along with some more fall trends. Have a great weekend xoxo ✌️❤️

P.S:  I am currently working on adding all the clickable links now to my blog, as I mentioned awhile back I was out a laptop for a while and was strictly blogging from my phone.  I still use my phone a lot to write blog posts but I am working on editing all old and newer posts with more details on the items I am wearing, where to find them or similar looks along with editing any typos from my amazing auto correct on my iPhone.  Thank you all for your patience and I can't wait to make the blog easier for you to read, navigate and my posts easier for you to locate pieces that you like.  Have a good one xoxo
