My Chandelier Arrived, why it pays to shop around.

I had seen this stunning and different chandelier at a popular store.  It kept popping up, I saw it on a blog I was reading about interior design on HGTV remodel show, It was meant to be.  I went to the website and they were asking close to $400 for it.  It was $369, I think it is on sale now.  I then was on another blog where someone had the same chandelier from the popular store and then wanted another one for another room in her home so she had found one on the amazing Overstock.com.  It was only $174.  I couldn't believe it, looked like the same exact chandelier.

After reading the reviews for both, they both required assembly which I never mind.  I love putting things together and being a fan of Ikea I am use to it lol.  I went online last week to finally order it.  I have a gorgeous bronze 3 light, with frosted glass shade light now that has a leaf design.  When we bought the house I had the upright lamp and table lamp for our living room and I love bronze iron decor so I have lots of pieces with that rustic look all through out the living areas in the main part of our home.  I get tons of compliments for my decor style and how my room has so many different influences but yet all flow together along with warm and colorful paints that all blend.  Since we live in south Florida we have what I call a patio home, it is in the shape of a u and all the room have sliding doors or windows going out to the back patio where we have our pool.   I have actually been in the process of doing my patio moroccan looking with lots of jewel tons, moroccan influenced pillows, poufs and lamps.

Back to my chandelier, it arrived today.  I got it on sale at overstock.com for $150.00, plus shipping costs.  Can't wait to put it together and hang it.  Already moved out the leaf table lamp and looking for a cool bronxe color swing arm floor lamp with a tan shade that matches the shade for my new table lamp.  I am excited cause we got new dinning furniture last summer and this new year are getting new living room furniture.  I already know what I want and it will be special ordered, large sectional with large ottomans that can all be pushed into the center and make one big family tv and movie watching area.  I can't wait.  Been trying to convince hubby of micro fiber or fabric but he is a leather guy so I usually give in and let him get the leather then I pick the color, shape etc.  I know I want a tufted vintage looking chair for the side of the room and maybe a chaise on the sectional.

Below are photos of the original chandelier first from pb.com don't want to spell out the full name cause copyright stuff but want to mention them in the labels cause I did borrow there photos, it is the Bellora chandelier I believe.  If you live in Miami I found the same ones from a store in Miami for $180-$220.  So excited, I am one of those girls that if I didn't live in the rather hot south Florida I would have a chandelier in every room, but hubby won't allow that cause he likes fans, I am however putting one at entry, in my closet, there is one in my daughter's room (small), kids bathroom, eventually my bathroom and we have a broken ceiling fan we never use in family room so hubby is going to move the old one in there and I have ordered some magnetic crystals from online to glam it up.  I have the fireplace tools and some candle floor style holders with the leaf design so the lamps will end up in there or my mom's room.  Let me know what you think of the photos=).  Can you tell the difference.

Also I am sending out contest winner, prizes thursday!  They are all boxed and wrapped up ready to go just have to wait for my post office trip for other items I have sold.  Let me know when everyone gets them and if you like them=).  New contest coming next week with some new polishes, samples and Joby Nail Art Decals.  Have a great week,

Fall boot finds from Marshall's!

Here are the boots I mentioned in yesterday's post about some awesome tall brown fall boots:). I went to Marshall's today and if on payday these babies are still there I may get both but alteast the heeled ones.

They were $79.99-$99.00 and they are amazing. Love them, even tried on some lower boots that I fell in love with and trying to stay away from black or ugg looking boots cause I have so many options already.

I also found this great white with black skull scarf on eBay for $5.00! I was hoping I would get one in my julep mystery box but that is another topic lol what a mess. I think they said they were sending me out a new box to replace the mess I received, I hope so or I will be canceling and done with Julep for awhile.

Enjoy my photos and love to hear comments on the boots and the scarf. Hope everyone is having a great start to their week:). I know I am and boxing tonight was exhilarating love it so much more the crossfit this is total body work out but fun and always different. I feel more sore all over then any workout and like I said they do boxing, kickboxing, cardio, abs, and all the squats, lunges and burpies etc like crossfit just feel like I am getting better cardio and fitness then it's fun always different not the same old wod routine. One of the trainers worked with Mariah Carey and J Lo he is amazing and knows his stuff but in my second week I am still so sore that everything aches but a good ache :)

Fall Boots from high to low

I have been looking for a pair of brown boots, I have 3 pairs of uggs and 2 pairs of black boots.  One pair are leather with a heal the other pair are suede that you can push down, slouch like with a mid heel.  I want a tall leather brown pair with some buckle or silver on them with a heel and then a flat tall pair that look good with my ripped jeans.  I am always on the deal hunt.  Last week I was in Marshall's and found two pairs.  I did not take photos but plan to go by there tomorrow to try them on so I will have photos, the flat pair were lighter shade of brown and amazing.  I think they were $80 and then the ones with the heel were everything I wanted nice thin heel and silver accents.  Those were higher priced around $100-110.  I want them so bad so I went to google and found several similar pairs by Guess and Marciano.  All the ones pictured below are from $130-250 each so I look at other stores.  Target has some cute pairs from $29.99-50.00 and then Payless has some that I got photos of from $24.99-59.99.  I think the photos I have the lowest priced pair was $29.99 and most expensive was $59.99.

Check out the options and see if you can figure out which ones are the designer and which are the non label.  Also tomorrow I will post the amazing selection from Marshall's and Payless is next door so I will pass by and see.  I mentioned I have three pairs of ugg's but all three pairs I got on clearance after the winter season for over half off.  I only get to wear them maybe two weeks total out of the year but I love them all my boots and love the cool fronts that it possible.  I love to wear my sweaters, scarves and cute jackets.  I already washed and dry cleaned everything a took my boots out they are ready, so come on cool front.  Just need it to drop below 80 here in South Florida so I can wear them lol.

Enjoy the photos and let me know which ones you like.  More to come this week, along with wreaths, nail polish for pink wednesday and the Joby Nail Art sample decals and announcement of contest to giveaway some Joby Decals and coupon.  I also will have some photos of my remodeling work around home and finally my Halloween decor if I ever down load the photos from my camera.  My new 3 in 1 lense for the iphone came last week so got to sample it out.  By the way FSU won last night and I had a wonderful time at the game and tailgating.   Go Seminoles, had me worried but you came back and played good at the end, that is all that matters.

Have a wonderful week.

FSU garnet and OPI 18K Gold, Man with the Golden Gun

Tomorrow is the FSU vs UM game so in honor of my favorite team, Florida State and so that my toe nails along with finger nails match my attire I did a burgundy red with gold.

Naturally since I just invested some money in the 18k top coat by OPI that had to be my gold. After swatching a few reds, a lot were too dark or to candy red so I went with Essie's Head Mistress. On my toes I have the same red without the gold.

I did a base coat of Sally Hansen and then applied two coats of the Essie Head Mistress. I love this red cause it is the perfect shade not to bright and not to dark. A slight hint of garnet:). Then I applied two costs of the OPI 18k gold top coat. Finished off with Posche quick dry top coat. I love how they look.

I loved the blue/purple I used from OPI earlier in the week, Tomorrow Never Dies but with this red it looks amazing. I'm super pumped for the game tomorrow. Even made a necklace and some of my hoop earrings, but smaller scale with football bead and the teams colors in the rondell spacer beads with swarovski colored crystals:).

I got my samples for the Joby Nail Art and will post some photos of the ones she sent me. Also later this week I will announce the contest for the floral decals and a coupon for their website:). Have to wait till my next manicure to sample them to review. Still trying to contact Julep about my botched trick or treat mystery box. Looks like someone opened it or they just forgot to put stuff in it. I got no paper stuffing like they usually put in so the stuff doesn't shift around, my polish was wrapped with bubble wrap and no fancy bow, then only got one glitter pod, everyone else got two, got a polish I already have:(. Then my bracelet had one skull the other one broke off and the cool decals I was suppose to get I only got the directions no decals I searched box but wasn't hard to look since it was pretty empty. Even got jiped out of the candy corn:(. I was excited for this after the October box and was hoping for some new fall colors for the polish, the scarf and alteast what I paid for. I hope they send another box or refund me if not canceling that deal cause that is not cool for 20 I get a broken bracelet, directions for decals I didn't receive, one pod of glitter instead of two then two polishes and one I have already. Looks like I will be giving away a bottle of Julep Morgan soon lol.

Have a fun weekend and enjoy my mani pics for my football inspired nails:).

I have a goal of reaching 100 followers I need everyone's help

I have set a goal of getting 100 followers.  I have no idea how to spread the word of my blog other then facebook and other bloggers.  I no longer have instagram.  I have done contest and giveaways, I am so happy with the outcome and excited to share so many things with everyone.  From beauty, products, sales, design, decor, crafts and so much more.

I received my samples for the Joby Nail Art and I love them, I got these super cute owls I am going to sample and review myself then they sent me another set of gorgeous nail art decals along with a coupon I am going to giveaway.  I want to do something different, I want all the followers I have now to help me in any way get more people to view and check out my page, then if they like it follow me.  Every person you send my way needs to comment here who sent them out of my current followers and who ever gets me the most new followers will win the Joby Nail Art package along with Julep Morgan Purple nail polish and many other beauty samples from lip gloss, hair care products, candles and more.  I will giveaway a box of goodies.  My goal is reasonable and I am not far off.  I am however limited to USA residents only cause I have one winner that is out of the country but have issues shipping the nail polish through the post office.  I have found a way around it but either way it isn't easy and I am still trying to get my blog up and going.  I have funded all my prizes, shipping and packaging out of my pocket.

I love blogging, reading blogs, writing blogs, sharing photos, deals and products with everyone.  I would love to have everyone who has a blog know that I am just like you were when you started out please any input on how to build up a following, how to get more readers and followers is so greatly appreciated.  Thank you to everyone who has supported and helped me, I love all your advice, help and input.  I will post more on the contest along with photos and deadline this weekend or first thing next week.

Sincerely,

Melissa with Dliteful Trends and Dliteful Sweets at blogspot.  Dliteful Creations and Designs of Pembroke Pines, Florida

Master bedroom deal hunting

I have been working on my relaxing an soothing gray, turquoise and purple bedroom with lots of white those are the accents. Lots of silver and mirrored stuff very Girly and peaceful.

I started with some bedding I bought last year but later decided I didn't like it which I am mad at myself cause it wasn't cheap but still it is nice ad makes a good spare set. I bought the set of bedding with just an idea of how I wanted my room. Being a interior designer by passion and at heart I usually have a bigger plan this was more an impulse buy. Bedding usually comes later I usually pick a color scheme, purchase furniture, then soft scape like bedding, pillows, rugs etc, then accents. I did it all wrong was obsessed with animal print and bohemian design so bought what I saw and thought was my perfect bedding. Don't ever do this unless it is super cheap. It was in sale and way cheaper then retail was but still expensive in the long run lol.

I knew I wanted an upholstered headboard without spending thousands so bought one of the Internet for $300 it is brown and has silver nail head trim and button tufting love it. Wish now maybe gray but can always recover. I don't like matching bedroom sets like you buy at te furniture store I like eclectic and vintage furniture or Asian/Moroccan influenced pieces. I have tons of Asian and Moroccan accents from our prior bedroom so I held onto them.

I think I explained before I got some vintage French dressers and refinished them crisp white with silver knobs and then mirrored silver embossed Bombay style night stands from HomeGoods. I painted my room a silver gray with the addition of white crown molding which looks amazing. I did the wall behind our bed a faux style rag finish with silver, gray, white and a little blue/turquoise color.

I found a duvet and sheets along with pillowcases at target. I also found the skirt there. Still looking for turquoise euro sham covers thinking etsy cause I saw some I loved handmade:). I got an accent pillow at Kirklands on clearance that is white and turquoise then have some silver and purple pillows from old bedding. The duvet is white with silver border that looks like the mirrors I got previously from Kirklands which I was excited to find one more today;).

I can't wait to show the finished look and got my chandelier in route from overstock for dinning room. Posting some photos of some finds all from target clearance, Kirkland's sales and homegoods or Marshall's:). Paid way less then you could imagine have all my receipts so when I'm done I can do a detailed list of my super low budget master bedroom update. Stay tuned an enjoy my bad photos lol
