Hairslinky

HairSlinky

I was sent these amazing hair ties to try out and let me tell you these are one of my favorite items I have ever been sent to try out. If you are like me and flat iron or spend a lot of time straightening your hair then you know how annoying it is when you get hot or need to hold your hair back, then use a normal hair tie only to have that crease or lump left behind. Also I hate when hair ties break or tangle my hair leaving damage or split ends, with the Hairslinky I don't have to worry about that anymore.  Also it has a no slip grip which is great for ladies with fine or really straight hair that usually deal with your hair ties falling out, with the hair slinky it stays put and is perfect for using to put your hair in a bun.

Even my daughters both love the hair slinky. My little one normally says that when I use normal hair ties to put her hair back or do a bun she ends up with a headache but with the Hairslinky it doesn't have to be as tight to keep the hair back or up in a bun. The curled cord like hair tie actually is the best for buns it holds all the hairs in place and makes what would be a messy him look more polished and clean.

I have been excited to share these with everyone. I posted some photos of them on my Instagram and Twitter when they arrived but like with all samples I am sent I like to use them for a few weeks before writing a review or post just to try them out and make sure they work or are as good as I first thought. The Hairslinky has proven itself over and over, from a full day of being at my daughter's early Saturday morning game with the sun blasting to leaving her game after 3-4 hours to hit the stadium for 4 to 6 hours of tailgating then a 3 hour football game all while sweating with my hair back and forth between a ponytail, a bun and down. I had just gotten my color done the first weekend and it was perfectly flat to my surprise after a full day it was crease or bump free. My daughter also takes a hair slinky to school with her after I blow dry her hair and flat iron it for gym or cheer practice or just running around between classes and told me I needed to get more because it is the only hair tie she likes. She also agreed with me that it is perfect for using for a bun because the spiral cord style holder grabs and holds all the hairs perfectly.

They come in a larger size and a smaller size depending on how thick your hair is and the smaller ones work good for thick hair too, I just tend to like them more for a half up style pony or to wrap around once just to hold my hair out of my fave. I think the smaller ones are good for younger kids and ladies with thinner hair also. I have used it as you see in the clear one above for a pony tail wrapped twice and it does hold amazing. I prefer the larger size for my bun and normally for my ponytail but my oldest daughter stole the large black one from me and I have not seen it since. She wears it daily.

I have very thick normally curly/wavy hair but even when blown out and flat ironed it's still a heavy thick head of hair and as you can see here I have one of the smaller Hairslinkys in clear on in this photo. It forms to the hair and doesn't leave a line or bump in the hair.  Plus Hairslinky has a no slip grip that keeps that hair put without having to tighten it or twist it around super tight causing creasing, breakage and headaches.

Here I have on the larger Hairslinky in blue, I need to order some more colors so I have a few extras. Again my daughter stole my solid black one which was my favorite but have been looking they have so many colors in both the sizes, I'm hoping to get a purple one since my hair turns everything purple anyway lol, plus it will blend in nicely. This is the size I love for my pony tail when I put all my hair up, or for a bun.

These are great for kids with really curly hair that usually gets tangled. My little one has Shirley Temple curls and her hair usually gets tangled in her normal elastic ties and I end up breaking her hair or have even had to cut it a few times to remove a hair tie that was badly tangled. With Hairslinky your hair never gets tangled and you don't get damage from breakage like most hair ties. I highly recommend this product to everyone especially if you have long hair or kids.

Be sure to follow them on social media @Hairslinky and visit their website  www.HairSlinky.com for ordering. If you have any questions please feel free to leave me a message below and I will do my best to answer them or contact HairSlinky direct for answers. Again I try to never review or feature a product unless I truly love it and stand behind it. I always make sure to allow myself 3-4 weeks to properly try out all products and I have my girls ages 16 and 9 along with my friend who is 30 try the products out also, everyone who has tried these loves them and anyone who has seen me wearing them has asked and found them to be very cool or a great idea. Its like a phone cord but used as a hair tie. Some people have asked me if they get stretched out, I only wrap mine twice and when I remove it I usually twist it back into shape and it goes back to the same size it was before hand. Once when I had been at the beach all day my clear one did seem stretched but I just washed it in cold water and it went right back to its normal shape and size.

I was excited to bring you this review and wanted to share it sooner that is why I have posted photos and you have seen them on my wrist in ootd posts because I literally carry two everywhere I go. Hands down an amazing creation and if you like to have flat straight hair but are tired of the marks left by traditional hair ties this is for you for sure. Hope you try them out and let my know what you think of them. Have a great evening. Peace, love and light always. Xoxo

My hair is Pravana vivids purple, violet and indigo with some silver streaks where the purple touched my white blonde hair. Was cleaning my pool when I took these photos but wanted to show the Hairslinky in action. Xoxo

Essie Escapades great spring/summer shade

Today I painted my nails using the color Escapades by Essie. I messed up my quickie manicure I did the other night at the beach and was considering doing same color I did my toes yesterday which is Essie Midnight Cami, love this navy blue color:).

Making dinner so didn't get to remove any polish I got on cuticles but I didn't have much:). I applied Butter London nail foundation as my base polish. Once that was dry I quickly applied two coats of Essie Escapades. I may have done a third coat if I had more time I don't care for the visible tip line on nails, but time was of the essence tonight lol.

I finished off with my favorite quick dry shiny top coat by Out The Door:). Love this top coat for when I need them dry super fast. Way better for me then Seche. Seche is thick and I get shrinkage along with lines if I lay on something or hit something. I also love Poshe for my other favorite top coat. I use that one a lot also but doesn't dry as fast, but seems to help prevent chipping quick.

I love this color. It reminds me of a coral but with some bright pink mixed in. Coral is one of my favorite shades along with turquoise right now:). Love them. It is a refreshing bright and cheerful color. I think it is great for spring and summer. Can't wait to use with a bright turquoise shade.

Enjoy the photos and hope everyone else had a great long weekend;). I had a four day weekend with family we cleaned, worked on our home inside and out then went to beach. Was a lot of fun. Making a beer can chicken now smells good;)~. Back to reality tomorrow :(. I feel good though got so much done around the home front and had fun too.

Joby nail art gold collection

I added one of my Joby nail art easy to apply nail decals to my ring finger on each hand as an accent along with the Essie Decadent Dish. I thought the gold would look nice with this deep burgundy/brown fall hue:).

Check out Joby at www.Jobynailart.com

I am so excited to log on to the computer today and see that I have gotten some new followers.  It hasn't been easy.  I have no idea how some people have over 100.  I have a facebook page for my baking and I have over 250 likes/fans.  That was easier cause all my friends would post a link and people would check out my work and then like my page.  Helped me get a lot of exposure and business.  I have considered a fb page for my blog maybe that would help get me more exposure also.

I would have contests on my fb page for a certain # who ever was that number would win free cakes, cupcakes or gift certificates and it worked amazing.  That is why I have started having giveaways and contests on here.  I hope to catch other bloggers attention then hope that they will share the contest or my link on their blogs and also I would love some advice on ways to get more followers.  It is hard cause I blog about so much.  With my business blog it is all cakes, baking, recipes, party and event planning stuff then home decor.  I started this blog cause of my love for shopping, finding amazing deals on designer products from beauty, fashion to things for my kids and home.  I love reading other blogs and checking out pinterest.

I am so excited to have any new followers it makes me super happy.  I hope the list continues to grow and more people start to enjoy my finds, photos, nail and beauty product reviews etc.  I love reading other blogs so I hope some of you are enjoying mine also.  Good luck to everyone who entered the contests and I promise I will continue to have them, the prizes will change from beauty products, to home products, jewelry I make, crafts and more.

Thank you again and you have no idea how much it means to me=)

Threw in some photos of some hot shoes I saw this weekend and then some fun with nails I did. Played with my matte on nails and ended up doing my toes a black matte french. Then got a bottle of reckon color show for my daughter, never used that brand so sampled it out and after and day was bored so used some china glaze gold polish I had for the tips. Looked good but removed it today lol to swatch and sample new polishes. Sad thing I just did my nails and have several more polishes due via mail this week and next. Going to break from polish shopping unless I see a good deal cause I have so many. Going to be Christmas shopping, making my nail rack, painting front door, baking, finishing projects around the house and planning a trip to my dream future home:). Enjoy the pics

About my blog

I just wanted to take a minute to write a quick post about my blog. I started blogging a little over a year and a half ago. I was starting a baking business and event party planning company. I wanted a way to show off my work and write about the products I loved using for my events and baking. I later started surfing on pinterest a lot and got big into crafts and refinishing furniture so I started blogging about that. Then being a woman I am always sampling beauty products, gadgets and home decor/products so I started writing about my favorite products, deals and sales I would come across.

I started this blog specifically for beauty products like hair, makeup, nailpolish and nail techniques I found on pinterest. I also always had people asking me where did you get this or what is that scent in your home. I realized a lot of people just like me google about products and read reviews. Also that many love to try out new products etc.

I am always signing up for sample programs like Birchbox, glossy box, qvc test tube, julep nail club etc. I love to try new products and share what I love and then also let people know what I don't care for. It's all opinion bit I enjoy sharing and reading other blogs also.

I love to share sales, coupons and deals with others cause I love to get a tip on something I can get for below retail or free sometimes. Being a stay at home mom with no full time income of my own I am always searching for sales and deals. I rarely buy anything for full price or without a coupon or code. Even when I order something or purchase something my kids need I hit the Internet and look for deals, coupons or Internet codes to save even if I just get free shipping that saves me money which then excites me lol.

It is hard to start a blog and gain followers. I started my baking blog and even after almost two years I get lots of views but have a handful of followers. One day I would love to have a successful blog that is followed by many. It is a work in progress for me but I am always looking for followers and I am always getting new products to sample and review. I would love for people to follow my blog and recommend more things you would like to see or how to get more interest in my blog. I follow a lot of fellow bloggers and I really enjoy reading about others experiences with sales, products etc.

Hope that everyone stays tuned to my blog. I am in the process of redesigning my layout and getting more of my reviews, photos etc posted. I promise lots to come in the future and please fellow bloggers follow me, I will be sure to follow everyone who follows me support is well appreciated.:) xoxo
