Spell and the Gypsy Collective Moroccan Luxe and Desert Queen from Lion Heart Collection

I had to share photos of my favorite new Spell and the Gypsy Collective pieces from their latest Lion Heart Collection available now.

Here I am wearing the Desert Queen graphic tee in black with the Moroccan Luxe skirt. I wear normally a size M-L tee and size S-M skirt.  I went with the L graphic tee so I could tie it up no problem and wanted a looser fit, and the skirt I went with a size S cause before the launch all the photos I was seeing on social media and such it seemed to be a full skirt and after checking the waist size on their website it was the same size measurement as the Zahara Midi Skirts in a M.

I loved the Moroccan luxe skirt so much I went back to order the matching blouse, I went with the S/M cause it is oversized and I still have a very loose fit.  The back has a slit up the bottom and makes it easy to tie the shirt back if you don't want to tuck it in for a more fitted look to accentuate the waist or I also love it with jeans.  Such an amazing style and print, love the muted gray and ivory tones then the cotton gauze fabric is so amazing.

I really had a hard time picking my fave photos and normally that isn't an issue for me I could take 40 pics and end up with a few I like, but this day my youngest daughter was my photographer and she took so many amazing photos.  It isn't hard to look good and feel beautiful when you are wearing amazing clothing.

I always love Spell and the Gypsy graphic tees so of course I got this tee in both colors as you have seen on my Insta feed and here on my blog.

I can't wait for this upcoming week when Spell releases the second half of the Lion Heart Collection. I am in love with the blush peachy tone maxi skirt and off the shoulder 3/4 sleeve blouse.  I have a few items along with that set on my wish list waiting to see the pricing and then what the sizing is like.

Lovely packaging and amazing customer service.  Owner went above and beyond to send me sizing details, product information and photos of the styles on, up close , etc.

Shipping was very fast for international shipping and all items arrived wrapped beautifully and in perfect condition.

I have been a long time lover of Spell Design, or Spell and the Gypsy collective from Australia so I have been keeping an eye out on some other brands like Auguste the Label and Arnhem, when this amazing brand House of Skye caught my attention. 

I fell in love with their Flamenco skirt and then once I visited their website only to see they also have fun, vintage vibe graphic tops I was hooked.  The skirts were sold out on the House of Skye website but after commenting on one of her photos on IG she directed me to @WanderwithMesa and they had this color in my size in stock, Thank you Natasha from HOS for that helpful hint because Wander with Mesa was amazing to work with going totally above all expectations.  Then also had the graphic tank in white with Stardust Soul and then other styles/colors that I have recently purchased.

I made my first purchase from the House of Skye website, grabbing the Wild as West graphic tank in rustic, along with pre ordering the Jipsee Days Flamenco skirt in Sunset Sky.  This collection has feathers, cattle skulls, and cactus very Arizona desert inspired with awesome graphic tanks to go with, and of course matching blouses.  You can get the Desert Rose red or Sunset Sky orange in the fabric for the skirt and blouses. The graphic tanks currently are sold out but come in rustic brown and dark washed grey, there are more coming soon in new colors possibly.  They go so amazing together with the color and fabric design, matching the graphic tank designs, total match made in the desert. Has a very earthy desert tone and style to it, she nailed it perfectly calling the collection Lost in Arizona.  These patterns and colors are totally my style because I love everything southwestern with cattle skulls, cactus, feathers and more.  Can't wait for my new pieces to arrive, should be here when I return from Spring break.

The Flamenco skirt above is a S/M and runs true to size I normally wear a S sometimes M in Spell skirts and this one fits perfectly.  The colors are super vibrant and great for spring/summer.  Fabric is light weight, soft and the pattern is really beautiful.  

My Stardust Soul white graphic tank is M/L and fits me good, I may have been able to wear a S/M but being larger busted didn't want to take any chances in case it didn't fit.  Also these items were sold out very fast and hard to come by so I wanted to make sure I secured one skirt and top.  The tank is soft cotton and the pattern is very nice.  They go perfectly together and also are versatile for styling or mixing and matching with other skirts, denim, and then lots of top options for styling with the skirt.

I only tried these on quickly as I have had a lot of stuff going on personally in my life and did not have time to style outfit or even iron.  I am already waiting for another flamenco skirt and one of the wrap style skirts from this same collection, one with purple and the other blue looking tones.  I have a grey Gypsy tank and white with blue print tank on hold waiting for my payment.  I can't wait to have more colors and styles to wear for spring and summer.  I think this skirt being light weight then shorter in the front with long maxi length back is perfect for walks on the beach as well as summer adventures.  Color makes me happy and this entire collection is filled with vibrant beautiful colors.

In the center the Suki Mid skinny jeans with embroidered details.  All these jeans have the Silver Jeans Co We fit flex denim.  Denim that has just the right amount of stretch to hug your curves and fit your body they way you like.  Silver Jeans Co has some new styles being released for Spring that I can't wait to share with you.  They have the Sam, boyfriend jeans and Kenni, girlfriend jeans.  Boyfriend jeans are designed mid rise, with that comfy slouchy fit like a pair of your boyfriends jeans would have, then the girlfriend jeans have a lower/mid rise that are slightly more fitted in the hips and thighs with a tapered leg.  These new fits are a lot like their prior boyfriend and girlfriend fit jeans just some slight changes.

Their new Avery is for the ladies who love the Suki fit, these were designed with the same curvy fit as Suki but these have a higher waist.  I know the Tuesday jeans have always been a favorite of mine but the older low waist isn't really my go to rise anymore so now keep an eye out for Calley, these have the straight fit a lot like Tuesday jeans but with a mid rise.  Then Silver Jeans has designed the Mazy which is going to be the high waisted version of the Tuesday jeans.  I cannot wait to try both these styles since Tuesday fit were my first love by Silver Jeans Co.

Below are the Berkley Jeans which are similar to the popular Aiko fit with slightly curly fit and shape perfecting low rise.  The leg has a slight straight fit through the thigh and then tapers toward the ankle.  Love these and can't wait to share some photos of them on.  If you ever wanted a higher waist the new Aiko's have been designed with a comfortable mid rise waist now perfect for everyday wear.

Thankful heart❤️

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. On this day I am so grateful and thankful for everything. Sixteen years ago I had the most amazing and memorable Thanksgiving day ever, when I gave birth to my first child. She wasn't due until December and I had a doctor's appointment the day before, they told me I wasn't going to be going into labor and to have a great holiday weekend. I left and decided since my doctor was right by the mall that we would go get our Christmas shopping done since I would most likely have her in the next couple of weeks. We honestly didn't think I would be up for shopping after I had her so we wanted to get it out of the way. After several hours of shopping and walking the mall I went home to make some pies for dinner the following day and half way through felt sick, something just suddenly came over me and the smells were making me nauseous, I was super tired but most of all I felt like my stomach had dropped and had a ton of pressure in my lower back. I went to bed early and woke up at 2 am to a sensation like something had popped in my tummy then when I went to get out of bed realized my water had broken. We went to the hospital shortly after and I was admitted by 5 am and she was delivered, with her eyes wide open as the doctor told us, a few minutes before the kick off to the Dallas vs. the Dolphin's football game. My Hubby being a Dallas Cowboy fan I remember him joking about how he hoped she would arrive before kick off and she did. It was the most amazing Thanksgiving for our entire family and the start of our own little family. Since that day Thanksgiving has become an even more meaningful day and one of the most thankful days of our lives.

My kitchen Thanksgiving morning while watching the parade I made some home made mashed potatoes to take to my in laws. 

My daughter did all my makeup tonight for dinner using her new makeup she got and some tips from my friend Vanessa who came to the house the other night to teach her how to apply makeup and some other tips. I have worn fake lashes a handful of times, and they really make such a huge difference and it was fun to wear for the day. I am not a makeup girl my daughter wears it daily but I only wear it for special occasions usually, for work I might wear some mascara and lipgloss but it was fun. She really is good and has a knack for it for sure. I did not have her apply the contouring stuff she learned because I have sensitive skin and I will break out if I wear a lot of makeup for long but what she did apply looked great. The lashes were the biggest change and half way through I was ready remove them but they were a lot of fun. I did a pin up style shoot for my hubby a few years ago for Valentine's Day and they made me wear heavy makeup for the camera and really long thick false lashes, I remember when she was done I didn't even recognize myself. For me this is a kick because I was always a bit of a tomboy growing up, I wasn't like my daughter at 16 wearing makeup and spending money on expensive makeup then as I got older I have had phases I wore makeup but I have never worn lashes daily. I am a blonde so I have always penciled in or have my eyebrows tinted or you wouldn't see them, they are basically invisible. I got her these lessons because I wish sometimes when I was her age I would have learned to do makeup and been more into those things. I also wanted her to learn how to apply it correct and if she is spending a fortune on makeup wanted her to have the right stuff. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot of stuff myself for when I do have a date night or event to go to. Props to the ladies who take the time to wear a full face of makeup daily, it is very time consuming and I am in awe sometimes at some of the many beauty bloggers and vloggers I have seen who are so talented. I am amazed at what some can do with makeup. My friend who came by to teach my daughter is amazing and really knows her stuff. It was really fun and I know for some fun styled shoots for the blog I may have them do my makeup again. 

My outfit for dinner is s chunky rust color sweater I got from the awesome Fashion Junkee, and some leggings that match perfectly from Forever21 paired with some old Steve Madden OTK slouch style black suede boots. You can literally scrunch them like socks lol, so 80's I know but they are really cute boots and I never could bring myself to get rid of them. Happy I didn't because I wear them all the time now.

Weekend wear

Love my graphic tees and this off the shoulder tee is a older style I have had by Pebby Forevee and paired it with some distressed Silver Boyfriend jeans and a Old Navy flannel.  Was going to get my hair done so went with the off the shoulder cut so I didn't have to worry about dye on my clothes. 

My new hair color, pravana vivids violet, wild orchid and red. Olaplex is my life saver best product ever created. Keeps my hair healthy and shiny. Makes my color look so bright and vibrant. My tee is a long sleeve striped dolman style tee from Pacsun and black Hudson skinny jeans. 

The vest is old and by Jessica Simpson from Dillard's. Necklaces are from Fawninginlove, the long blue and gold horn and then the crescent upside down moon was from Pacsun but Fawninginlove from Easy has a better quality one in silver, gold and rose gold.

What says fall more than S'mores, Campfires, Hayrides, and Boots. I love my new graphic tee shirt from Robby & Dee Studios on Etsy. I paired it with an inexpensive flannel I found at Walmart for $12.88 which beats some I was eyeing for $30-50 online. I also found some amazing deals on eBay I will link below for flannels under $15. 

The necklace I got today also in the mail from one of my favorite jewelry shops on Etsy, Adam Rabbit. I have been wanting an Amethyst like this and she had found one she posted on IG so I made sure to scoop it up for her birthday weekend sale. 

Here is my cute graphic tee styled with the flannel from Walmart. I also am wearing Vigoss jeans Tomboy, distressed style black jeans. Had these in blue and had to get the black because I love the fit.

Sunday Funday

Sunday is always my funday, just like the song Manic Monday. Love that song lol. Wanted to share quickly a couple pics from my Sunday. I am really behind on blog posts. I want to first apologize to Wendy from one of my favorite eBay shops. She sent me some amazing new Aztec scarves they got in for fall and some other awesome fall accessories that I have yet to post, and my friend Pam sent me over the poncho, scarf that can worn as a shawl also, some cute boot socks and a great necklace which I have featured a few of the items on my ootd posts but really want to get posts up for both shops and do some styled pics of the lovely items by Nita. I have had a lot on my plate with work and have my cruise coming up. I really like to be able to take my time to sit down and post about these amazing shops especially the ones I have such a great connection with the owners or reps. I have had really met some amazing people this year through my blog and I love to take the time to high light their shops and products. I promise if I don't get the posts together before my cruise I will be sure to have them done as soon as I get back. I have an entire rolling rack of cute new fall trends, from jeans, sweaters, leggings, skirts, dresses, button down tops, flannels, lots of scarves, socks, boots cuffs and stunning jewelry. Then shoes forget it. I have three amazing pairs of booties from JCrew's new fall collection, some Maurice's boots, Buckle boots, and some eBay find look alike boots for some of the hottest trends for my bargain shopping divas. I am excited to say with my new position at work after Dec I will be working from home which will allow me more time to work on my blog. I am going to use my real camera and tripod to take photos along with using other people to model some of the fashions not just myself always and not always selfie style pics. I really want to take my blog to the next level this new year and hoping to purchase my own domain soon. This has always been a hobby and for fun but with all the amazing opportunities that have started to come my way I really want to be able to represent brands, designers and companies on a professional platform. 

For now here are my photos I wanted to share from the weekend. Enjoy and I really hope everyone has a great week. I have started my cruise packing and have a busy couple days with a doctor appointment tomorrow before I leave for a week need to see my specialist. Then I am volunteering at my little one's school since I am room mom and will miss the fall party, luckily I return on Halloween so I won't miss trick or treat and then I plan to take them to the pumpkin patch and hayride this Friday since there is no school and Thursday they have a half a day, got a pedicure and nail appointment after I drop them then we plan to do a haunted house event they have north of us with a carnival for my younger daughter so she isn't left out that evening. A lot to cram in a few days but I want to make sure I fit in all the fall memories I usually do before I leave. Feeling a little guilty leaving them for a week but this is the first time since my younger was born I have left on a girls trip without the kids or my hubby. We always travel together. I am sure I will be home sick but I need the relaxation and me time for sure.

Jesus loves this hot mess, graphic tee by Bestillclothingco. Love this brand and have a few tee shirts I ordered last year from them and plan to order a couple new ones soon. My necklace is a triple layer faux stone and feather, brown agate and opalite necklace from Forever21. My youngest daughter picked it out for me and I love it. 

Last year for Christmas my mom got me a silver Alex and Ani Buddha for Christmas which led to my collection of their amazing charm and wrap bracelets. I have a few gold ones but mostly silver. Sunday I wore my love charm from hubby and the heart is one of their beaded wrap bracelets my mom got me for my birthday. I paired them with a collection of older string bracelets I had from Kohls by Lauren Conrad LC. Love how this photo came out. I have been documenting my arm candy and wrist parties for some time now, I love jewelry and always say it's the icing on the cake or the cherry on top. It always makes any outfit look put together. I feel naked without some jewelry. Usually I always have my wedding ring and band, my kids ring with their names on my other ring finger and I wear my grandmother's diamond pendant she gave me before she passed away. Some days I take my necklace off to wear something else and may be in a rush forgetting to add something before I walk out the door. I have really fallen in love with the long 30" necklaces I have by Adam Rabbit you can throw on over your head no clasp needed or my Lacey Ryan triple layer necklaces that are all together that I can throw on one necklace but looks like I took the time to layer a few. Her line is amazing and Adam Rabbit has some awesome pieces also. I love Etsy its up there with eBay for me and my hubby is getting me into Amazon recently. 

I also love Fawninginlove she makes some really incredible jewelry and so high end for an amazing price you can find all these designers links in my favorite shops in the side bar, as well as the tee shirt company.

Dressing in my favorite styles is what makes me feel most beautiful andconfident

True Confidence is Beautiful!

For many women wearing a dress or heels is what makes them feel most sexy or beautiful. For me I feel my most comfortable and confident which makes me feel beautiful and sexy when I wear a pair of ripped jeans, a graphic tee or tank and a pair of either flip flops or converse. Since I was a young girl in my early teens I have always loved rock music. From when I was old enough to start picking out my own clothing I always would rip my jeans and loved band tee shirts or concert tees. I would go to rock concerts with my big brother and my parents always wanting to leave with a cool new tee shirt. For me this was my first real personal style coming out. As I got older I was never a girly girl, sure I love to dress up for events or special occasions but I have never been big into makeup or wearing fancy clothes. I have always felt my most confident and comfortable wearing jeans with a cute top. I love to dress up and play with my favorite styles, wearing ripped jeans with a dressy top or a graphic tee with a fancy skirt, then accessorizing that with lots of jewelry and of course matching a jacket or kimono with cute shoes and bags. 

Today when I was getting dressed I really was thinking about it and realized that I am most confident and feel sexy in an old ripped up pair of jeans and a great fitting tee shirt with some converse or sandals. It really does make me feel my best. Yes, I will wear heels with my jeans and maybe a nice top or switch it up and take some of my favorite graphic tee shirts or tanks then pair them with a long skirt or tighter pencil style skirt and some sandals or even sneakers depending on my mood. At the end of the day I always feel my best when I am being myself. Over the years I have had many different jobs and some I have had to wear business attire, I would never feel confident wearing clothes that aren't me. Sure I would wear that same pencil skirt I have paired with my graphic tees many times and a button down blouse or blazer but it didn't feel as comfortable or as stylish to me cause I didn't get to make it my own look. Since I have gotten older I have learned so many amazing ways to stay true to my own style and favorite fashions while still wearing some of the latest trends. I always no matter if they are in style or not be wearing my ripped jeans and graphic tee shirts though. Over my entire 38 years of life ripped jeans have not always been in style but I have always worn them. Same thing with my graphic tees, I use to cut the neck line or sleeves off, or even shred the backs and sides but no matter what I did to the pieces of clothing at the end of the day it was still my same old jeans and tees that I loved. Remember confidence shows and when you are dressing if you aren't comfortable or wearing things that you feel confident in it will show. Anyone can go out and buy the hottest styles and trends then wear them but not everyone can look confident and feel good in them if they aren't really who they are or what they like. Don't ever try to hard to be something you aren't no matter what your style is if you feel confident you will look beautiful and rock it. Have a great rest of the week, and weekend. My outfit today really inspired me to write this post. For many years I had friends who would invite me out to clubs or for girl's nights and then they would show up and see me in my ripped jeans, asking me if I ever wore anything else lol. Yes, sure I do but this is what I feel good in. 

Love my Hollister clearance boyfriend jeans for $25 got three pairs and an additional 30% off. Can't beat that and they are already ripped nicely. The more worn the better, for me

Love to take some amazing original, hand made jewelry to dress up my looks and always adding kimonos, jackets, vests and other layering tops for a dressier look for work or going out.

Paired my graphic tank with a floral kimono and JCrew ripped jeans. I must own over 50 pairs of jeans and capris, I would say a large percentage are torn and distressed. I have learned some amazing tricks to distressing my jeans and denim over the many years I have been wearing denim. Same as tee shirts I have all kinds of fun ways to cut them and shred them to look cool. Love to change up my clothes and make them look unique.

Jeans are also a favorite I own so many pairs and Silver jeans are a favorite of mine. I was over the moon when they invited me to become a brand ambassador because for over a decade Silver Jeans have been my go to jeans when I am looking for a new pair. 

Like a lot of ladies I love Juicy Couture, started out as loving their handbags and sweats. I use to wear their track suits as my pajamas, and own many graphic tees. The lovely ladies who started Juicy Couture have a line out now called Pam & Gela which they have some amazing pieces from sweatshirts, skirts and of course amazing graphic tees and tanks. I have been working on collecting as many as I can find on sale or online for a good price. They are really awesome and love their blonde saying tees lol. Some are pretty awesome. Right now waiting for a few I purchased for my birthday online I can't wait to share.
