Thankful heart❤️

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. On this day I am so grateful and thankful for everything. Sixteen years ago I had the most amazing and memorable Thanksgiving day ever, when I gave birth to my first child. She wasn't due until December and I had a doctor's appointment the day before, they told me I wasn't going to be going into labor and to have a great holiday weekend. I left and decided since my doctor was right by the mall that we would go get our Christmas shopping done since I would most likely have her in the next couple of weeks. We honestly didn't think I would be up for shopping after I had her so we wanted to get it out of the way. After several hours of shopping and walking the mall I went home to make some pies for dinner the following day and half way through felt sick, something just suddenly came over me and the smells were making me nauseous, I was super tired but most of all I felt like my stomach had dropped and had a ton of pressure in my lower back. I went to bed early and woke up at 2 am to a sensation like something had popped in my tummy then when I went to get out of bed realized my water had broken. We went to the hospital shortly after and I was admitted by 5 am and she was delivered, with her eyes wide open as the doctor told us, a few minutes before the kick off to the Dallas vs. the Dolphin's football game. My Hubby being a Dallas Cowboy fan I remember him joking about how he hoped she would arrive before kick off and she did. It was the most amazing Thanksgiving for our entire family and the start of our own little family. Since that day Thanksgiving has become an even more meaningful day and one of the most thankful days of our lives.

Below is a tee shirt I ordered back several months ago and couldn't think of a better tee shirt from my collection to wear on this Thankful day. I love the simple design of a heart with the word thankful, because I have a very thankful heart today.

Tee by Sweet_T's on Etsy will add link below along with links to my crystal necklace from Fawninginlove also from Etsy and more..

My blue agate ring is from Adam Rabbit on Etsy and the bangles are all Alex and Ani.

My flannel is from Maurice's. Love how soft it is and lighter weight. Has a crochet lace like detail on the back.

JCrew distressed boyfriend jeans. Love these so much have three pairs.

My kitchen Thanksgiving morning while watching the parade I made some home made mashed potatoes to take to my in laws.

My daughter did all my makeup tonight for dinner using her new makeup she got and some tips from my friend Vanessa who came to the house the other night to teach her how to apply makeup and some other tips. I have worn fake lashes a handful of times, and they really make such a huge difference and it was fun to wear for the day. I am not a makeup girl my daughter wears it daily but I only wear it for special occasions usually, for work I might wear some mascara and lipgloss but it was fun. She really is good and has a knack for it for sure. I did not have her apply the contouring stuff she learned because I have sensitive skin and I will break out if I wear a lot of makeup for long but what she did apply looked great. The lashes were the biggest change and half way through I was ready remove them but they were a lot of fun. I did a pin up style shoot for my hubby a few years ago for Valentine's Day and they made me wear heavy makeup for the camera and really long thick false lashes, I remember when she was done I didn't even recognize myself. For me this is a kick because I was always a bit of a tomboy growing up, I wasn't like my daughter at 16 wearing makeup and spending money on expensive makeup then as I got older I have had phases I wore makeup but I have never worn lashes daily. I am a blonde so I have always penciled in or have my eyebrows tinted or you wouldn't see them, they are basically invisible. I got her these lessons because I wish sometimes when I was her age I would have learned to do makeup and been more into those things. I also wanted her to learn how to apply it correct and if she is spending a fortune on makeup wanted her to have the right stuff. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot of stuff myself for when I do have a date night or event to go to. Props to the ladies who take the time to wear a full face of makeup daily, it is very time consuming and I am in awe sometimes at some of the many beauty bloggers and vloggers I have seen who are so talented. I am amazed at what some can do with makeup. My friend who came by to teach my daughter is amazing and really knows her stuff. It was really fun and I know for some fun styled shoots for the blog I may have them do my makeup again.

My outfit for dinner is s chunky rust color sweater I got from the awesome Fashion Junkee, and some leggings that match perfectly from Forever21 paired with some old Steve Madden OTK slouch style black suede boots. You can literally scrunch them like socks lol, so 80's I know but they are really cute boots and I never could bring myself to get rid of them. Happy I didn't because I wear them all the time now.

They are having huge sales for black Friday and Cyber Monday make sure to check out their site and of course Instagram @FashionJunkeeDotcom.  Be sure to mention my blog xoxo

Have a great Thanksgiving. Xoxo

Black friday or angry early friday/thanksgiving lol

I decided since me and my husband have always gone in the passed years for black friday to go just for the heck of it.  Usually in the past we were looking for tv's, electronics or expensive gadgets that were worth the fight, and we enjoyed it.  Always had good experiences between lucky parking, beating the crazy lines and always getting what we wanted in and out quick.  I wasn't really looking for anything special but was missing the adrenaline rush of it lol.

My oldest daughter wants a pair of the Dr. Dre Beats headphones so Walmart claimed that at 10 p.m. they would have them for $179.95 instead of the usual $199.95 or whatever 90 it is lol.  I also wanted some stupid miscellaneous stuff like new tupperware cause I throw mine out every few months and they are super cheap on black friday.  I also wanted some Monster High Dolls and other little items from the flyer.  I got lucky cause I went with my mom who has a temporary disabled parking permit so we had front row parking, went after 8 when they opened closer to 9 since the headphones said 10.  When we got there I asked and of course they never got any headphones in but other then that I got lucky with everything else I wanted.  I even got lucky cause I grabbed a couple of the other Monster High Dolls that were not suppose to be on sale cause I ran into a lady who told me cause they didn't have enough of the sale ones the store marked down the $24.98 ones to $10 so people were not so mad, plus I found two of the sale ones in the back of box with blankets my mom wanted.  Someone must have put them down.

I left with 10 items for $78 and my total savings was 64!  That is pretty good almost half off the retail price.  No headphones, but then there is cyber Monday lol.  If not $20 won't break the bank.   My mom wanted to go to Toys R Us and it didn't look bad from out front, we found front row parking again but as soon as we walked in and glanced over the flyer then saw the 90 plus people standing in line to pay I told her never mind, all I was there for was cheap little toys for my 5 year old.  Forget the hour line for a few dollars off.   I am happy to say I am pretty much done shopping for my kids.  Got to get the headphones, then buying my little one a tablet, either Samsung or the new Kindle Fire HD.  She is always playing with my Ipad and between her, then my oldest on my MacBook I hardly ever get to use either of my own gadgets.  Decided I would take care of that, got my oldest a laptop for her birthday this weekend, we have a hook up in Miami where we got security cameras for our house so got her an awesome HP laptop cause for school she uses the windows system a lot.  My Macbook has the virtual PC so she can use it but now she has her own.  She got one in fourth grade but ended up breaking the screen so we ended up getting a wire for her tv so she could use it then she started using my MacBook. Then my little one is always with the Ipad and it scares me cause I hate to even think of her dropping that a breaking it.  I have been looking for some time, we have a nook color for my oldest and saw the Kindle Fire HD for the price it is as nice as an Ipad especially for a five year old lol.

Well, that is my experience with the pre Black Friday.  I got my fix and am home decorating my two Christmas trees and house for the holidays, about to lay down.  Had a full week of decorating for clients and baking, then a full day of baking, cooking and decorating my own house.  My oldest daughter turns 13 this weekend, she was a thanksgiving baby I had her on Thanksgiving day 13 years ago, greatest blessing I have ever had and of course my baby, the youngest also.  It was an amazing holiday.  Had a great day with the family.  Looking forward to Christmas and our vacation for the New Year to North Carolina for some cabin, snow and mountain time.  Off to finish up here and head to bed.  It is actually cold I am outside typing and it is windy feels like 50's out.  Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and has a safe day shopping for Black Friday.  Would love to hear about your experiences. Goodnight all xoxo

Amazing mail day Birchbox November and hgtv holiday magazine:)

I absolutely love mail, wether surprises, subscriptions, gifts or stuff I purchase I enjoy receiving mail. Samples are always a favorite of mine cause I love to try new things. I also like magazines:). I am a reader, I love to read and write always have since I was young. I use to write little fiction novels when I was ten to fifteen still have them along with my journals.

Reading is a passion I love books, religious historical reads and anything fashion, baking, event or party planning and design! I always am excited for my seasonal hgtv magazine and this one has to be my favorite issue yet cause it is holiday issue. I love the holidays already have my Christmas decor out of storage and attic in my office ready to break out Thanksgiving morning:).

I have been making garland, wreaths, centerpieces, personalized ornaments and more. I go all out every holiday. However I do not get corny and decorate my car that is to much lol. Besides my hubby would never drive in it he already refuses to drive in my car with my FSU sticker and some other ones. Mostly I have support causes like lupus, leukemia, and breast cancer cause I have lost my dad, a close friends sister who was younger then me and a few friends to these awful diseases.

I got my November Birchbox. I got home and my mom was saying my youngest daughter said to her ah man it's a box but just mom's Birchbox lpl. My kids know already it is funny. I am waiting for my new Marc Jacobs buys and have some craft stuff coming I got from Cricut online:).

In my nov Birchbox was some great items. Starting with Archipelago Pomegranate Body Soap, I love new soaps:). I also got Marula The Leakey Collection which is an Omega rich pure Marula oil. I have read amazing things about these products. Helps reverse and reduce the signs of aging excited to try this.

Also got a bottle of Model Co fibre lashxtend lengthening mascara with a built in mirror on the bottle love that feature! Oscar Blandi pronto texture and volume hair spray and to give since it is the month of being thankful and giving a bottle of John Varvatos Artisan. I love John Varvatos fragrances for men amazing.

They also sent a box to give a gift in and a coupon. I always love my Birchbox. Never been disappointed:). I can't wait to read my magazine but have to relax for a few before I head out to a hard core night of training and boxing at the gym. Love Tonight's trainer he is amazing:). I see big changes in a month! It has been one month a down three sizes and 18lbs I see the inches the most cause I have got a lot of tone and definition.

Have a great week all and so excited for the week ahead and next week with thanksgiving. I had my oldest daughter on thanksgiving 13 years ago this year best thanksgiving ever:). Have a lot to be thankful for especially when so many people are struggling with jobs, paying bills losing homes etc. I hope everyone has an amazing holiday and a lot to be thankful for also:). Xoxo
