Spring must have Jacket trends: Kimono

Last up for tonight for my top jacket styles for Spring is one of
my personal favorite wardrobe pieces. I have been obsessed
with the Kimono jacket. I love these jackets whether a floral
pattern, Aztec, striped, or solid, with or without tassel
detail, crochet or lace, I love them all. I have over ten in
my closet. Where I live it doesn't get cold often but
everywhere you go it goes from 80-90 degree heat
outside to freezing cold indoors with the AC. I always have a
cardigan or kimono on hand.  I even found these cute scarfs
at Maurice's online that have a tassel bottom and can be
worn over your shoulders to look like a kimono. They
are only $20 and they had a bogo sale last week, so I
picked up a few. I really like these because you can throw
one in your purse or wrap one around your neck like a scarf
then if you get cold unfold it for a kimono look. Maurice's
also has a lot of cute kimono style jackets for great prices.
You can find these kimono jackets everywhere right now.
A lot of my favorite stores in my links on the side bar carry
them, then I found several super cute styles on EBay
for under $10 from China.

One of my favorites is from Fashion Junkee which is in
my favorite shops link.

Cream floral kimono from FashionJunkee.com

Black floral kimono from Fashionjunkee.com

This cute kimono is from
www.fashionjunkee.com and I
have the black. It fits amazing
and goes with everything. It
is on sale for $19.99. I plan to
order the cream when I get
back from vacation. They have
a few cute styles in stock for
under $30.

This kimono I found at
www.target.com.

Below are a few styles I found
on the Polyvore site, as you
can see they are inexpensive
and you can add several
colors and styles to your closet
for very little money. I highly
recommend this piece for
every closet this spring.
You can wear it with everything
and it looks great with all the
bohemian inspired pieces that
are on trend right now.

I just got a few catalogs in the
mail this week from Pacsun,
Tilly's and Anthro that have
many outifts paired with kimono
style jackets. These look great
with cut off shorts and a tank
top, jeans and a tee, over a
sundress or maxi dress, with
cute skirts and tees, basically
every style. You can't go wrong
for sure.

Hope my posts for this evening
were informative and helped
give you some ideas for jackets
that are in for the season. I read
a lot of magazines and articles
online, even style icon and
designer Rachel Zoe has a
article with the top jacket styles
for Spring and she included
several of these styles along
with some other cute styles.
I have highlighted my personal
favorites but you can also take
a look into replacing your
military style jackets with the
kimono style jacket which is
different then the Kimono
jackets I have here, it is a solid
jacket with a open front and
sash tie waist. Then they are
recommending replacing
leather motorcycle style jackets
with suede, I mentioned in my
prior post. Denim jackets are
still in along with the denim
vest, and I have seen a lot of
embroidered pattern jackets.
It's all about our personal
style and what each of us are
drawn to. I also try to purchase
pieces that will go best with the
style of clothes I already
have. I like to add a few trendy
pieces each season to my
wardrobe to dress up pieces I
already own. Otherwise I would
break the bank every season
purchasing all new clothes.

Thank you for passing by and
hope you have enjoyed my top
three jacket style must haves
for Spring 2015. Xoxo, ✌️❤️

Must Have Jackets for Spring: Double Breasted Blazer

Next up for the must have Spring jackets
is another favorite of mine, the Double
Breasted Blazer. I have chosen a couple
style on Polyvore that are in different price
ranges and colors.

My favorites are by JCrew.

This blazer is the JCrew double breasted
blazer and retails for $198. Below is the
link to this jacket.

I love the double breasted blazer and think
it is a must have for all closets. It looks
great with a pair of slacks or a skirt for a
office look or you can pair it with jeans
and tee shirt for a more casual look.

I also love the JCrew Thomboy blazer.

This has a more fitted look and is cut right
at the waist. This blazer retails for $178.
I recently purchased this jacket for my
wardrobe.

Below are my Polyvore picks and be sure
to check out Target for some trendy and
well priced blazers. I posted a white and
navy striped blazer I purchased back in
January for $34.99 and have seen many
cute style for under $35. You don't always
have to spend a lot to get the latest styles
and trends.

Thank you for checking out my favorite
Double breasted jackets for spring. I
always love to hear readers feedback on
what styles and trend are your favorites.
Xoxo, ✌️❤️

Top Must Have Jackets for Spring: Suede Jacket

Tonight I am going to highlight my favorite
trends for jackets for spring.

First up is the Suede jacket.

Suede and fringe are both big trends
for spring.

My personal favorite style is this Kendall &
Kylie jacket from Pacsun.

It has both the suede and fringe. I love the
style and shape of this jacket. This would
look amazing with so many pieces in my
wardrobe. Everyone is different so you of
course you have to find the style that is
best for you.

Photos are from www.pacsun.com

Jacket retails for $60

Below are a few of my other favorites
from Polyvore.

Suede jackets are the motto jackets of
spring. They will look amazing with your
favorite ripped jeans and tee shirts. Then
you can dress them up with a dress or
skirt. Suede looks great with the trendy
boho style that is huge for this season.
You can't go wrong with suede for spring.

Hope you enjoy my favorites and would
love to hear what you love for spring.
Do you like the suede and fringe look?
Or do you prefer the more classic motto
style suede jacket. Either way you will
look fabulous and trendy with a suede
jacket in your wardrobe this season.

Target gift card winner is

As you all may know I had a contest on Instagram for a $25 gift certificate to Target. After going through all the tags at #cr8tivetarget and giving everyone who entered correctly along with following all the directions five entries, I then went back and gave each of those followers one extra entry for tagging friends. I then had my daughter draw one name from the bag and our winner is, Carolyn Bonucatti. Thank you all for entering and keep posted, next month I am giving away a $50 JCrew giftcard and two graphic tops. One tank top and one tee shirt, both from two of my favorite brands. You will be able to select your size. It will take 2-3 weeks to receive the tee and tank as I will order them after the winners are announced so I know what size to get. Rules and entry info will be posted here and on my instagram. Trying to decide whether to host the contest with raffle copter like I use to with my older contest or do the same style on Instagram.

Congrats again to Carolyn and thank you to all 32 people who entered. Your kindness and support means so much to me. Be sure to always read the rules and steps to enter to make sure you do everything needed to guarantee your entry. A few people didn't so some of the steps and I had two I only gave four entires to instead of five because they didn't leave a comment on the blog and had no way to prove you visited the blog, but they both had tagged multiple friends so they got bonus entries also. I always try to keep it fair for all.

Have a great week. ✌️❤️

St. Patrick's day

Happy St. Paddy's day my fellow Guiness lovers and those who are Irish even if just a lil' bit. I just recently was told it isn't Patty's day it's Paddy's day in a class I am taking online. Working on getting better with my grammar and spelling. Like I have said before not a professional blogger but stepping up my came. I always loved to write and was great in school and college at writing but been many years. I have honestly slacked off lol.

Back to St. Patrick's day, I have always joked with my friends that I am Polish and that ends with ish so I can qualify for Irish. I am sure somewhere in my roots there is some Irish. My father was Polish and my mother'a family is Russian, German and French. I see the Polish genetics in myself because I feel I take more after my father than my mother but at the end of the day who knows what else we have in our blood line. It's a fun holiday to celebrate and being a ex bartender I have always enjoyed the festivities. We attend the local parade every year with the kids, then usually go to a couple local Irish pubs and bars, along with the renaissance festival. We always enjoy the themed weekends they have at the renaissance festival, we love dressing up as a pirate, wench or gypsy. My kids even love it.

Here are a couple outfits I wore over the weekend and my basic outfit for today since I don't want to offend anyone when I pick the kids up from school lol. Enjoy and have a beer for me, cheers xoxo.

This outfit I wore out with my hubby over the weekend to enjoy some beers and start the festivities early, they have a parade downtown and we missed the parade, but made it to join our friends for some beers. Was sad to miss the parade but mom duty came first and had to take my youngest to a birthday party.

This top I purchased around six years ago, I am 97% sure I got this one at Spencer's in the mall. Love the lucky b@*ch caption. It's a tube style green top with ruched sides and a white bottom. It has white letters with gold foil shamrocks/clovers. I wore it with a basic white linen button down top and white linen shorts from Roxy. I also have on green shoes you can't see here. Have my green beads on and my Guiness necklace. Also wearing my Juicy Couture lucky lady necklace and Leslie Danzis clover medium hoops, in silver. I got the earrings from a online boutique. It was either Posche or Revolve. Just noticed I have on a Brighton silver bracelet with clover and lucky love written around it.

My St. Patty's outfit for today is a Victoria Secret Pink cropped, off the shoulder tee with a white basic tank. Also wearing some American Eagle cropped jeans and green havaianas with a blinged out clover leaf I added. Again we celebrate every year so I have tons of green graphic tops with different cute sayings, green shorts, pants, skirts and dresses. Then of course lots of beads, light up rings and necklaces, bags and shoes that match. I even have body tattoos and glitter for the occasion.

I will be partaking later today in a few Guiness beers and some Shepard's pie or potatoe soup. Be safe and enjoy the holiday everyone. ✌️❤️

I even switch my purse and wallet to green for the day.

Above is my MK wallet and have a matching hobo style purse that can be worn cross body style or over the arm. It's smaller not as large as some of my bags like to have enough room to carry the basic stuff. Also some more beads from the many parades and a body glitter tattoo for my daughter to wear when she gets home later. I even dress her up and my oldest has lots of cute stuff as well. My hubby is Cuban and he even gets dressed up with a funny graphic tee usually and some beads. What can I say I have rubbed off on him lol.

A little Gypsy soul for this weekend.

Hello everyone and happy almost St. Patrick's day to all. Looking forward to decking myself out in green tomorrow and heading to our favorite Irish spot for some Guiness and Shepard's pie. There are a lot of other dishes I love but usually end up having Shepard's pie because it is so good at our spot and goes well with Guiness beer.  Do you have a favorite beer or Irish dish? I am sure a lot of you have your favorite sports and traditions also, then I am sure some of you may not even celebrate the holiday. I would love to hear what your St. Patrick's day favorites and traditions are.

Wanted to pass by quickly while I had a free moment and post a couple photos from over the weekend. I recently won a Instagram contest that Fashion Junkee was hosting, and got a $50 gift certificate. As usual it was hard to select what items I wanted, I want a lot of items from their site and they recently stocked a lot of new pieces so I always have a hard time. Be sure to pass by their site because I am sure you will find something you will love also.

I decided to grab a gypsy soul tank and a pair of denim ripped black jeans. I also got a cute fringed black cardigan, but didn't take any photos if it yet. I will be sure to take some soon and post them.

Here are my weekend photos and tomorrow I will try to pop in and post a St. Patty's day photo if I have a chance. I start six weeks of physical therapy this week and looking forward to this six weeks because it is a lot of massages and stretching. I don't know if I mentioned on her recently that I was diagnosed with MS and Sjorgen's. I have been getting injections and taking new medication along with my Botox injections I was already getting and the occasional epidural for my lower back issues. Aging isn't fun but the MS diagnosis has turned out to be in a sense a relief to know what is going on with my body finally but scary as well. Praying that it doesn't progress and that I can keep it under control somewhat. I am blessed to have found an amazing specialist who has a team of doctors and nurses that are highly educated. Just the injections, medications, diet and lifestyle changes I have made in the passed four months has made an amazing impact.

Enjoy my photos and be sure to check back later in the week for some more outfit of the day photos and fashion finds.
Once I return from vacation I will have some style steals from celebs and tv shows to post like I have in the past along with some home decor posts and of course some amazing deals and bargains.

My Pebby Forevee the mountains are calling, John Muir quote. I got this one in black and the off the shoulder style. Excited just placed a order this week for another tee and finally ordered a muscle tank to try out. Can't wait to receive this style to review for everyone. I love the off the shoulder cut, my favorite so far. I have a crew neck and it's super cute but the off the shoulder cut is amazing. They remind me of how I cut my old concert shirts and tops, which I have done since I was a teen. I even use to get creative and cut the sides to tie and the back to have holes or strap looking pieces. Will have to post some photos one day. I use to get creative when I would go to a concert and make my own unique tee from a band or concert tee.

These are the black ripped jeans I mentioned above from the Fashion Junkee website. They are high waisted and fit amazing. Very slimming and comfy. The rips are amazing and all the way down the legs. Love these and for sure one of my new favorite jeans. I have been looking for a pair of black jeans for awhile and these will get a lot of wear. You can find a link for this amazing shop in the side bar on my blog under favorite shops or you can go to www.fashionjunkee.com. I will be adding a link you can click that will take you direct to the site just have to log on with my laptop or desktop to add that.  Currently I am typing on my iPhone once I return from my vacation I plan to spend some more time working on my blog. For now i spontaneosly log on and post when I have free time.

This is the Gypsy Soul, gray tank. This and the black floral kimono are also from Fashion Junkee. The jeans I am wearing are blue destroyed denim American Eagle jeans. I wore the fashion Junkee jeans with the bottom photo and same kimono but didn't take a full length shot.

Love this tank, it is made by the same company that makes the Happy Camper tank I got last week, but I went with a medium this time and may even try a small my next order just to see how it fits. The large is very big on me and I have to wear a tank under it but the medium is also a little large, I think they are meant to have that flowy look to them. Either way going to try out a small to see how it fits if I decide to order another tank by the brand which is Triumph.

Last post is the black floral kimono and a cute tank I got at Love Culture awhile back. The Love Culture tank says, Love what you do and do it well, with flowers. I have a lot of tees and tanks, then maxi skirts and dresses along with jeans and shorts from Love Culture. Use to visit the store weekly to see the new pieces they got in. Was super sad when the store by me closed down. Now I have to order online which I don't always like if I don't know how certain items run. I have started to love these smaller shops because they have amazing customer service and they will go above and beyond to measure the items for you. It's like having a personal stylist to help you out. I have had the best customer service with Fashion Junkee and they always go that extra mile to help me any way they can. They also make returns a breeze. Love culture being a larger store you don't get a quick response and a lot of items are final sale. They do have a lot of cute graphic tees and tanks for amazing prices along with Machine jeans, which I have really fallen for. They are stretchy fit jeans with lots of holes and destruction which I love. My favorite jeans are destroyed denim, I also love a dark denim with a white stitching like Miss Me, True Religion and Rock Revival have that style stitch. It is very body flattering and makes your curves look amazing. Awhile back I found a blog article online about finding the perfect fit jeans, and how to avoid buying mom fit jeans. This article had some amazing tips from pocket placement and stitching. Both key parts to finding amazing jeans. I need to look up the post I think I may have book marked it and I know I wrote a post awhile back when I had read it. I have always been drawn to certain brand jeans and a lot of people would think that I like these brands because they are high end but really has nothing to do with it, it's all about the way they fit and feel. I never pay full price or retail price for any of my jeans. I have a lot of high end brands but I spent very little. Check back in my blog I have a article about my favorite jeans and finding similar styles for less. If you love Miss Me and Rock Revival jeans check out LA Idol jeans. They have the similar stitching, pockets and bling accents you find on the higher end jeans along with a similar fit for less.

Off to bed early have not been sleeping well. Hope you all have a fabulous night and enjoyed a couple photos from the weekend. Excited for my vacation. Can't wait for that mountain air. Good night everyone xoxo ✌️❤️🍀

End of the week styles.

Quick post before bed to end the week with my outfits for Wednesday through today, Friday the 13th. Got my hair colored today and willl post a quick preview of how it came out at the end. I will have much better photos this weekend. These photos were taken at night with poor lighting. It always looks better in sunlight. I love it, the colors are so bright and vibrant. I stayed with the purple and blue tones but added more of the neon and pastel blue so that it doesn't look so dark. I also colored higher up on my top layer so now the underneath is three shades of blue and then the purple pravana from the vivids line. The blues I have are pastel, neon and vivid shades. The top layer had some purple and orchid that had faded to a light almost pastel pink. Now I have the neon and pastel blue also for a more ombré look, which looks teal and royal blue. Really happy with how it looks. My hair feels soft and looks shiny which is honestly amazing with all the coloring I have done the passed six years or longer. If you like cool and fun hair colors check out some of my older posts with hair photos. I am always changing my color, I have been in love with hair dye since I was 15. Being blonde makes it easy to be any color you want, also been using the new Olaplex system in my hair my passed few visits and won't color or bleach my hair without it. What an amazing product. Moving along,,,

Here are my outfits from Instagram posts for the rest of the week. Monday and Tuesday are in the previous post.

Wednesday

All ❤️ NOH8 from the NOH8 campaign. Love this tee. Paired it with a cute pair of LA Idol black capri length jeans.

The Wander Full Great Smoky Mountains were calling me on Thursday and we are going to be heading there next week. Super excited. This cute tank is from Old Navy along with the gold long pineapple necklace.

Button down long sleeve tee with pineapples is from Target I got it on clearance last year, and the shorts are yellow JCrew chino shorts. Super soft and my favorite chino style shorts. I also have this same pattern tank top from Target and a cute cream with gold foil pineapples from Old Navy to match the necklace perfect.

Today before my hair appointment I threw my hair in braids since it was raining and I was about to get it colored, I didn't sleep good last night due to my hubby working the midnight shift and being sick with a really bad head cold I suddenly came down with on Monday. No matter what I was not missing my appointment today. Always so excited to get my color done. Really didn't want to wear anything that could end up ruined from bleach or hair dye so figured I would wear some older clothes.

I picked an old tee from Marshall's by Lucky Brand, this cute worn looking black tee says "Don't feed the hipsters" with a bear. Since the salon is always cold and it was raining decided to wear my leopard print cardigan from Kohl's by A Byer. Jeans are by American Eagle and are the super skinny stretch in dark wash. I rolled them up for a cropped look so the bottoms didn't get wet in the rain and threw on some cute leopard print reef sandals from Macy's.

Hope you enjoyed my end of the week outfits, most of the items are older pieces I have had except for the NOH8 vneck tee which I purchased back in January online. Hope everyone had a great week and has a fabulous weekend. Xoxo ✌️❤️

I didn't forget here are a couple peeks at my hair, and promise to post better photos over the weekend when I have time to curl it and take some good shots.

A little collage of some quick shots I snapped. Hard to see all the pretty colors and contrast.

Here it is all pulled forward so you have some pieces peeking through that are from the back. Underneath is purple, dark blue and neon blue, then the top layer in the back is neon blue and pastel blue which gives a teal color when blended. Then you will also see some purple and pink left over from my ombré over the summer with the shades of purple and pink.

My hair stylist uses Pravana color for my hair. Today I had some color applied to my roots to lighten and then she added these three colors. The middle bowl is a blend of pastel blue a neon blue, then you have the vivids purple and neon blue.

Can't wait to post more photos with better lighting so you can really see how pretty the colors are and the contrast.

Enjoy and thank you for passing by. Remember life is too short for boring hair if you have been considering adding some fun color to your hair go for it. We only live once and it's just hair, it will grow out or you can always dye it back. Start small with some highlights or the underneath, maybe a thin layer and if you like it you can gradually do more. I highly recommend going to a salon because I have colored my hair at home, the color they sell at Sally's and other stores doesn't last long. Usually washes out or fades right away. Also I do not recommend bleaching your hair at home unless you have experience and help. I have colored hair for many years and still wouldn't do my own hair alone without someone to help with hard to reach areas. It's worth the extra money to get good quality hair dye that will last and someone with experience so you don't fry or ruin your hair. You can also by hot heads brand extensions in fun colors that are easily applied with a thin medical grade tap, no glue and they don't ruin your hair. They are also washable, reusable and you can style with flat iron or curling iron. They have small ones my salon sells for $5-7 each and I have a few wider ones I got for $10 each. You can google hot head extensions to read more about them. I have blonde ones in my closet I wore when my hair was short for a wedding, saving in case I ever want to add some length. Luckily my hair is really long, I cut off two to three inches today which was hard because I loved the length but needed it. Again can't rave enough about the Olaplex, balyage system. They have three steps one for adding to the bleach or color to lift your hair without burning or damaging which means you can now achieve the lightest shades possible. Second step is added to your hair after coloring to condition and seal the hair leaving it healthy and shiney. Then they have a third step to use at home. It works wonders and has improved my hair so much. I noticed a difference the first use, and keeps getting better. Trust me I strip and bleach often to achieve these bright vibrant colors because you have to have a white base. Google it for sure and ask your stylist it can be pricey but depends on the salon. I am lucky to have several friends with their beauty license and get it at retail. Paid $85 from the salon for a small amount and $30 for the third step but now pay way less at the beautician's cost. Having pretty cool hair isn't cheap or easy but thanks to pravana and my Olaplex I can have it. Okay I am off to bed, good night all... Sorry if any typos late and didn't sleep good last night. Bless you all ✌️❤️
