Festival season is almost here

Festival season is among us and that means time for some of my favorite fashion trends. I love the bohemian inspired fashions I have since I was a young girl. I always loved to look at old photos of my mom and dad wishing my mother had saved her wardrobe from the 70's. I have always loved old graphic and band tees, bell bottoms, high waisted skirts or pants, cut off shorts, fringe, suede, crochet, lace and the gorgeous eclectic jewelry with large natural stones all mounted in chunky silver settings.

Festival season means floral headbands, layered boho chic jewelry, crochet and fringe tops, cut off shorts and the higher the waist the better, this year a large trend we are seeing return is laces. Not lace alone that is also very trendy still but laces. From shoes and sandals to lace up tops and pants. I have seen some of the cutest lace up crop tops and body suits, not just with front laces but side laces or lace up backs. I absolutely love this trend. From some of my favorite designers like Pam & Gela creators of Juicy Couture and now their current line Pam & Gela, to even more affordable options like Forever 21 which this last year I have found myself sharing more and more of their styles on my blog.

I recently purchased the cutest pair of lace cut off, distressed Jean shorts from a store I found over a year ago online called Fashion Junkee. I then was on the hunt for some more cute Jean shorts, skirts and tops for our up coming music festival in Jacksonville named Rockville. We attend it yearly and enjoy the weekend of many bands and festivities. I would love to attend Coachella one year but until my girls are both older for now we will stay local. My oldest daughter is 16 and last year we brought her with us, she loved it and this year she counted down the days to the announcement of which bands would be performing along with the dates. Last year we had some horrible weather the first day in the mid portion of the shows which led to getting soaked and later mud all over but we were prepared. I have ocd so I always over pack and of course had my bag with ponchos, change of shoes, and more.

I love the weeks before the festival planning what I will wear. You want to be comfortable be at the same time it is so hot here but you also have to be prepared for rain. One minute it is sunny and gorgeous the next it is down pouring and winds are gusting then before you know it the storm blows over and the sun is back out but now it's hot and very humid. You 100% don't waste time flat ironing or doing your hair in any style that won't hold up to rain and lots of humidity. I love to wear my hair in braids, a messy bun or half up half down with a floral headband or bandana. I always am cautious what accessories I choose because with rain you don't want to wear something cheap that once wet will turn you green or black, also you don't want to risk ruining or damaging anything you really love.

One tip I have learned over many years of buying jewelry and being a bargain shopper, I don't always but sterling silver or gold sometimes I find cute pieces I have to own that are costume style or less expensive alternatives which will change your skin color. I use a spray clear coat or sometimes smaller pieces I will use a clear nail polish to coat the metal and smaller stones that may be set in the jewelry to provide a protective coating. This works amazing just make sure that larger pieces you use a spray which you can find at Joann's or Hobby Lobby even Home Depot and Lowe's carries these as well as Walmart and Target. You can find in the craft department or sometimes in the paint department. I use Krylon clear coat, do not purchase a matte or high gloss finish just the basic clear. I also use OPI clear top coat nail polish as mentioned above for smaller pieces like rings and pendants or over smaller stones set in the jewelry.

Over the next week or two I will be featuring lots of amazing styles and designers for the festival season as well as for the end of spring and of course summer. Lots of cropped jeans, tops, tanks, cut off shorts, cut sun dresses and much more. I also have some great products I am going to be reviewing for your skin, hair and more.  Enjoy and can't wait to share some of my faves for the upcoming season...

Above are the lace cut off shorts and some lace up flats from Fashion Junkee. The tank is by @SiennaMoonLa on IG and the floral headband is an older piece I got from Love Culture. Black fringe backpack was a free gift from Victoria Secret. Think it's cute for concerts or festivals and since it was free don't have to worry about if it rains it getting ruined...

Some cute spring trends from Express. They have some amazing cropped jeans and graphic tops along with this light weight black jacket perfect for those cooler spring nights. Love the style and made sure to get a couple colors of these motto cropped jeans.

One of my recent ootd posts from IG is this tank by Pam & Gela which is on sale now on their site for spring. The jeans are by Hollister and are cropped distressed jeans, I also got a pair with the bottoms cute and frayed in alms of the same style they are higher waisted and very figure flattering. The kimono is an older piece I got from Fashion Junkee website. You can find them on IG @Fashionjunkeedotcom.

Have shared this Pam & Gela tank previously but wanted to share these lace up back pants. The ankles have a lace up feature on the back bottom ankle. These are a track motto style pant in army green and you can also find these on sale on their site. I got mine off eBay for under $50 and adore them super comfy and stylish.

Excuse my pose here lol was trying to get the holes in my pants and ended up standing like a dork lol. But was only shot I could show you the holes in my Pam & Gela Betsee Sweats I scored off eBay for $20 they have them on their site now and have matching sweatshirts also. The tee is a fave new brand I have found on Etsy called Punk Masters. Love their designs and the tee shirts are all super soft. This one says Art/Punk and is a heather purple tone. Matches my hair almost perfect.

New designer I am collaborating with from Etsy, 31ements and you can find her IG @31ements and she has a link to her store. Lots of amazing hand made jewelry, I will have a more detailed post coming soon and her shops link will be added to my favorite shops this weekend.

While I was away I got a lot of mail one was this tank by Pam & Gela, was sad I missed out on this design from their current spring sale. They have the best sales but make sure to grab what you like quickly because they sell out fast. I had missed this "Yay" tank which was available in white and black but lucked out and found this one new with tags on Poshmark and for less then the sale by a few dollars so was meant to be. I did grab a few tanks from their sale and have a few more items I am hoping won't sell out before I get paid next week. The brushes are from the LiveGlam Morphe brush subscription box and enjoy their brushes so much. I got this monthly box for my teen daughter she loves makeup and does my makeup for me all the time now want her to have the best brushes for her collection.

A couple more Pam & Gela scores off eBay. I am super in love with their fashion line just in case you haven't noticed over the last couple of years and I am always looking for designs I missed from prior collections as well as pieces to complete sets like these animal print sweats that match my cut off top.

Here you can see both together, I got the top awhile back and have a cute skirt but have been looking for the sweat pants for a while finally found them in a medium.

Last up may have shared this in my last post from my vacation have to look back and see how far into my trip I was when I last posted. Tomorrow I will be going on my laptop to add links, where to shop links for my pieces that are still available as well as updating my fave shops and adding some new discount codes. I will also be updating my tabs for favorite fashion trends and home decor. Adding spring and summer looks along with lots of posts coming with festival looks, spring and summer fashion trends and beauty reviews.

This outfit above is a Pam & Gela tank I got off Blue and Cream for $46 on sale. Paired with Jbrand jeans, Target flannel and FreeBird boots.

Everyone have an amazing weekend and keep an eye out for lots of updates coming next week. Been laid up this week due to my injections I received on Tuesday but really wanted to post something since over my vacation I have received some amazing new products and styles to share as well as my research for spring and summer styles I am excited to share. Happy shopping and deal hunting to all. Xoxo

Catching up..

Hello everyone and sorry it has been awhile since my last entry. Vacation was amazing and exactly what I needed before starting my new job.

Before I left I was hired as an assistant editor for a magazine locally, and I also am assisting the head of the fashion section along with one of the lead stylist for the magazine. It is super exciting and so far it has been a dream job. I don't have set days, the magazine is published  every two months and some months the fashion section isn't large. I head up the street style and everyday wear section. I work on the website posting blog entries, planning layouts for upcoming issues with a team of other writers and stylists, interviewing models, photographers, scheduling locations for upcoming shoots, running errands, pulling clothes and visiting boutiques. All in all it is a dream job for me. It pays well, I have met some amazing and talented people, gotten to try on some designer and vintage clothes, and most of all learning a lot about writing so I can only better my blog for all of you.

Other then starting a new part time job I have been busy volunteering at the school, photographing a couple local events for the city, and getting my treatments for MS. I have been very tired and have had a couple side effects to my newest treatments but all in all I remain determined to beat this and get my self back to normal again. I can report that the shots I am receiving along with the medication is working well and other than some side effects I have been improving.

I am excited to announce I am going to be sampling the ever popular waist training cincher or corsets that are so popular now. I have one on it's way now that was actually given to me by a seller to try for my blog. I looked at many different styles and have done a lot of reading up on this new trend, I figured what better time to get my waist in shape than bikini season. Bikini season is only a couple short months away so I will be demonstrating the use of the cincher along with documenting weekly photos of the progress. I also have some at home spray tan companies that reached out to me about sampling their products, I can't wait to share these with you. I have a couple options and one is amazing for your face only. Another of the products I have used in the passed and it is my go to at home spray tan when I need some quick color and don't have time to lay out or got to the beach. It's the perfect time for me because I am just starting to hit the beach again.

I went with a beige nude color waist cincher with steel bone construction, and it's made of latex spandex material to promote sweating which is also great for slimming down. I wanted one I can wear under my clothes since I have read it is best to wear it for 6-8 hours a day and don't want to sleep in it. I have a couple friends who use these and sell them. I will be upgrading to one that a friend of mine sells once I sample the one I have coming and know if it is for me. Two of my friends have been doing it and one lost 4 inches from her waist another 6. That was only after one month of wearing it daily for 8 hours straight. The one who lost 6 inches wore it to the gym and for longer periods of time. She was hooked. Not only has her waist shrunk but she never had hips she had a very plain shape and now she boasts a hour glass figure that reminds me of a mermaid. Amazing. I can't wait to share this with all of you. You can find these cinchers on eBay for as low as $5 but please wait till I do my first post or google and do some research before purchasing just any cincher. There are a lot out there that don't work and are made cheap. I love to save money and refuse to pay three times the money when I can purchase the same item on eBay for what the person selling paid. I will be getting mine hopefully next week.

I have some exciting new trends to share for the spring and summer also, I got some super hot and unique swimsuits arriving from a local artist that makes them by hand, some amazing products from the Caribbean that are also handmade by a group of friends that I met on IG and decided to collab with. They have coverups, skirts, and amazing beach totes. Then of course this tee shirt obsessed lady will have all kinds of cute graphic tanks to post from some of my personal favorites. I have gotten some really cute skirts, shorts, vests, kimonos, and jewelry to style my tops with for some upcoming posts. I have purchased a selfie stick and will be heading to some local hot spots to photograph some of my upcoming outfits for the blog. Like I mentioned above and in prior posts I am stepping up my blogging game. I blog for fun and have always been more about sharing my love for fashion, design and art along with bargains but now I am going to be really focusing on better content and photos. I never really spent hours writing a post because I don't have time and just wanted to share what was on my mind or something I came across but now I really want to make this more. I am going to be trying my best when I have free time, now that I am working along with my business and my family I don't always have a ton of free time, but when I do I promise you will start to see some changes. One will be a domain for my blog. I have been working with the web designer at my new job and he is going to make my blog exactly how I have pictured it but could never do on my own. Excited. For now sorry for my quick phone entries and selfies, I just enjoy sharing my love for fashion, interior decor and bargains.

Stepping up my blog game means more giveaways,  I have a kimono I am going to be giving away along with a beach bag filled with some goodies that are some of my must have beauty and fashion items for the summer. I will be posting the kimono contest in the next week or so on my IG and here then I will be announcing the other contest with the beach bag once all the items have arrived. I have a few contacts I am waiting to hear back from that I am hoping will send some more items for the giveaway. All items I will be reviewing on my blog then giving away a awesome handmade tote for the beach filled with some awesome pieces. All wearable items will be one size fits most type of thing. Keep an eye out because you surely don't want to miss that giveaway.

For now going to share a few of my IG ootd posts from the passed week or two that I haven't posted along with some new items I have received. I have been finding some amazing pieces on eBay.

I am also due for a home design post and very excited to share my latest project which should be completed by the end of the month. My master bedroom is very gypsy bohemian chic now and can't wait to show you all my cute decor and some inexpensive diy projects. Also there are a lot of trends that are popular right now and I have some secrets to finding those items for half the price or less! Don't want to miss that post.

Hope you all had an amazing Easter and spring break, keep checking back and thank you for your patience. Xoxo ✌️❤️

First up is a tee shirt I got while on vacation from a shop in NC called Southern Charm.

My new favorite tee by Pebby Forevee. You can find a link to her shop on my blog favorite shop list. Her website is www.mypebbyforevee.com. She just had an amazing buy two get 20% off and shipping is always free. I ordered two more tees for summer.

I went with the off the shoulder cut on this design and it is my favorite so far of all the tees I have purchased from her site. Amazing and for sure one my top favorites.

Found this cute tee from a couple of my IG friends I follow and ordered off etsy more details on my IG page.

Little sunny selfie before work

I paired this awesome graphic tee with my new Urban Outiftters army green staring at the stars, side slit, pocketed skirt. Love this skirt so much ordered the black online. It's awesome and goes with everything.

This was at work trying on this cute skirt which is an exact match to one i purchase at target a few months ago. They still carry them for $19.99 and check eBay I have seen similar styles for $5 from out of the country.

Volunteered at the school for their spring fling and wore this cute navy crochet vest with a basic Old Navy white tee and shark bite hemmed, printed skirt from Maurice's website. The necklace is by Lacey Ryan one of my new jewlery designers. I will be featuring many styles of her pieces in upcoming posts.

Loved this shot because it really portrays how I have been feeling.  I have been so happy and blessed that I am really feeling like it is my time to shine.

New tee shirt designer I found on Etsy and love, Everfitte from California.

Paired this cute tank that says "Don't be like the rest of them darling" a Coco Chanel quote with a Day Trip kimono and boyfriend shorts by Buckle Black.

eBay score was this cattle skull and feather kimono by Spell Designs for $58. Love it and I am obsessed. New they retailed for $200 and I own a lot of kimonos, I won this one, a black floral vest one and a raglan tee all for amazing prices and was amazed by the high quality. Hope to find more items in the future.

Another new Pebby Forevee top, this is the Indian Headress muscle tank. I have wanted this for awhile and ordered before my vacation, it arrived while I was away and couldn't wait to wear it. Paired it with a maxi skirt by Mossimo from target that is black with brown feathers and cow skulls, which when I saw I had to have it.

My eBay raglan for $19 by Spell designs. It's a large and fits me very loose but hoping to shrink it some. Super comfy and love the design. Was going to cut it to make a tank since I paid less for it but like it, the sleeves are already hand cut to a 3/4 length.

My raglan easy rider tee with day trip kimono and some jeans.

Music is my best friend for sure. This cute open back tank is from Pacsun, the kimono floral vest is from target and jeans are some boyfriend shorts by Buckle, BKE.

Another shot of my music is my best friend, open back tank. Love ❤️

This tank is from Wet Seal, it is lace and cropped style. Cattle or cow skulls are a favorite of mine. Love all skulls and tribal designs.  The skirt is from Urban Outfitters and is a black with white checkered pattern and pleating in front.

Same tank with some gray destroyed denim shorts by buckle also. Love the buckle denim and the store carries my other favorite denim brands like Miss Me, Silver, and Rock Revival.

Muscle tank is from Pacsun, layered over a mossimo blue tank and the skirt is older I got it four years ago at Marshall's. The brand is Tryst and have a few of them different colors. Soft and love tie dye, love when styles you have been wearing for some time become the new hot trends. Saves me money having to buy the newest and hottest styles.

Pretty bracelt my hubby gave me for no reason love him for that. Always thinking of me.

A bright day selfie. Was showing how amazing my skin looks and no it isn't from makeup, been using a new line of skin care.

Ootd for today, bumming around the house for the day, Pacsun Jenner line tank with side slits, paired with black cropped leggings.

Wanted to post these, picked up some shoes because I had some gift cards I got for free from target promos for Easter and groceries. I have the perforated slip ons in black, quilted in black, camo and animal print, houndstooth and now I have lace and crochet. Both are comfy.

Hope you enjoyed my photos and have a great end of the week.

Spring must have Jacket trends: Kimono

Last up for tonight for my top jacket styles for Spring is one of
my personal favorite wardrobe pieces. I have been obsessed
with the Kimono jacket. I love these jackets whether a floral
pattern, Aztec, striped, or solid, with or without tassel
detail, crochet or lace, I love them all. I have over ten in
my closet. Where I live it doesn't get cold often but
everywhere you go it goes from 80-90 degree heat
outside to freezing cold indoors with the AC. I always have a
cardigan or kimono on hand.  I even found these cute scarfs
at Maurice's online that have a tassel bottom and can be
worn over your shoulders to look like a kimono. They
are only $20 and they had a bogo sale last week, so I
picked up a few. I really like these because you can throw
one in your purse or wrap one around your neck like a scarf
then if you get cold unfold it for a kimono look. Maurice's
also has a lot of cute kimono style jackets for great prices.
You can find these kimono jackets everywhere right now.
A lot of my favorite stores in my links on the side bar carry
them, then I found several super cute styles on EBay
for under $10 from China.

One of my favorites is from Fashion Junkee which is in
my favorite shops link.

Cream floral kimono from FashionJunkee.com

Black floral kimono from Fashionjunkee.com

This cute kimono is from
www.fashionjunkee.com and I
have the black. It fits amazing
and goes with everything. It
is on sale for $19.99. I plan to
order the cream when I get
back from vacation. They have
a few cute styles in stock for
under $30.

This kimono I found at
www.target.com.

Below are a few styles I found
on the Polyvore site, as you
can see they are inexpensive
and you can add several
colors and styles to your closet
for very little money. I highly
recommend this piece for
every closet this spring.
You can wear it with everything
and it looks great with all the
bohemian inspired pieces that
are on trend right now.

I just got a few catalogs in the
mail this week from Pacsun,
Tilly's and Anthro that have
many outifts paired with kimono
style jackets. These look great
with cut off shorts and a tank
top, jeans and a tee, over a
sundress or maxi dress, with
cute skirts and tees, basically
every style. You can't go wrong
for sure.

Hope my posts for this evening
were informative and helped
give you some ideas for jackets
that are in for the season. I read
a lot of magazines and articles
online, even style icon and
designer Rachel Zoe has a
article with the top jacket styles
for Spring and she included
several of these styles along
with some other cute styles.
I have highlighted my personal
favorites but you can also take
a look into replacing your
military style jackets with the
kimono style jacket which is
different then the Kimono
jackets I have here, it is a solid
jacket with a open front and
sash tie waist. Then they are
recommending replacing
leather motorcycle style jackets
with suede, I mentioned in my
prior post. Denim jackets are
still in along with the denim
vest, and I have seen a lot of
embroidered pattern jackets.
It's all about our personal
style and what each of us are
drawn to. I also try to purchase
pieces that will go best with the
style of clothes I already
have. I like to add a few trendy
pieces each season to my
wardrobe to dress up pieces I
already own. Otherwise I would
break the bank every season
purchasing all new clothes.

Thank you for passing by and
hope you have enjoyed my top
three jacket style must haves
for Spring 2015. Xoxo, ✌️❤️

Spring must have Jacket trends: Kimono
