Weekend Wrap Up and Festivities

Sunday is always a fun day but once it reaches 10 p.m. I become a little down because I know its back to the 5 a.m. alarm tomorrow. Luckily for me I only have two weeks left before winter break for my girls starts and I will be home with them. I opted to work from home for the two weeks. I can't wait because I have a lot of fun stuff planned with my girls along with some cool stuff for my blog and work. I recently was given a new account and I am super excited to be able to head up my first marketing and promotional gig for a local designer. We have been working on curating some beautiful stuff for her online shop along with some revamping of her Miami store front. It's going to be a lot of fun and great experience for my portfolio.

I have finally finished decorating my home for the holidays. We got the outdoor decor complete and both trees are up with all the ornaments, stocking are hung by the fireplace and I have mostly all the rooms accessorized with some old decor we have had along with some fun new pieces from Target I highlighted in a previous post. I will be sure to take more photos this week of some of my favorites to share with everyone.

It's funny because we got this tree new this year from Walmart on sale for $77. Our old tree had most of the lights burnt out and was getting to be a pain so we needed something new, I didn't want to spend a fortune since I would rather spend on gifts for the kids so we got this Black Friday deal without seeing it first. I am so pleased with the tree, it is full, has realistic branches and it can be colored or white LED lights. We love it. After decorating it with the family I kept thinking something was missing, sure enough when decorating the second tree for our family room I found my ribbon I have used the last few years in a box. I was going to add it but now I think it looks good the way it is.

Above is our second tree in our family room. This tree has more of a Christmas winter theme with a snowman hat on top and lots of hand painted ornaments from Poland. I got all the decorations and tree on clearance nine years ago at Dillard's. I love the white garland with the white lights it looks like snow glistening on the tree. My stocking holder is from Kirkland's and I have had this for over a decade. Its perfect since we have a fake electric fire place my hubby got me awhile back because I have always wanted a real one but in Florida it's not really needed and it would be so hot. This fake one is perfect because it gives the warm feeling to the family room and effect it wanted for the holidays.

A family tradition for many and has been one for my family for many years is the Elf on the shelf. We have a plush one and an original one. They have lots of fun and get into a lot of craziness over the month leading to Christmas morning.

As you can see even our Elf loves graphic tees. She has many different outfits but this year she has changed a couple of times already. Got these cute tees and a small suitcase for them at Target.

Saturday planned to do a photo shoot I have been working on down in Miami for my blog but got rained out. Instead I spent the day at the salon, I had my new color touched up and tweaked a little. Wanted some meek dark red underneath with some bright red mixed in and to remove some of the color that runs into the blonde which looked magenta almost. My hair feels so amazing thanks to Olaplex and Pravana.

This is all my own hair, I have been growing it out since I started using the Olaplex a little over a year ago when my stylist first told me about it. I have been so many colors and with lots of bleaching to remove colors it is still silky soft and has very little damage. I have gotten so many compliments on my new color. In was nervous because red has never been my favorite but I love this combo. My gorgeous necklace is by my Etsy fave FawninginLove link in my favorite shops and many prior posts.  Her work is unique and just fabulous she really keeps me looking well accessorized always.

My Sunday was festive with shopping, a visit to Santa and his elves, Christmas crafts and of course some Christmas wrapping when I got home. Even had time for a nail appointment with my oldest daughter. My sweater above is from a company I came across on FB last fall called 2chicksandacause, love that they donate proceeds to different charities every month. My jeans are Vigoss tomboy jeans with distressed finish in black, boots are last season Freebird by Madden, necklace is from Precious Heart Shop and my bracelets are all Alex and Ani. My bag is my fringe tote from Bohemian Vibe Boutique. Since it is late I will be sure to add links for shopping and where to find my look or similar looks tomorrow.

Quickly want to say thank you to everyone who has used my Sand Cloud promo code to purchase items from Sand Cloud, my code is Wanderlust25 for 25% off your order.  I am over the moon to say I am about to get another reward to use for more items.  I just got one last week and then one two weeks before that not to mention the two I already used.  You have all been really supporting me with this company and would love if you would help support with Smile Sciences and PuraVida also.  Check my favorite shops side bar here on my blog, I have lots of links and promo codes for discounts.

I am off to bed. I wanted to thank you for coming by. If you missed my previous post I have teamed up with Smile Sciences, link in the next post and my favorite shops in side bar. I will add a link below also. If you use my exclusive promo code GYPSYSTYLE you can save 90% off the retail price of $299 and get your own kit for $29. You can chose between bubblegum and peppermint, kit includes everything you need and the LED light which is magic. If you have used this product I would love to hear what you think or about your own results.

Have a fabulous week and again thank you for the support. I really have loved all the kind words from everyone and emails. I got a few touching emails this week after some saw some comments left and my migraine post. I really do love how kind everyone is and I am so grateful. Thanks to all of you I am able to share my love for fashion, decor, bargain shopping and photography. You all really rock and you should be proud of your kindness. Kisses and hugs xoxo ❤️😘✌️

Spring must have Jacket trends: Kimono

Last up for tonight for my top jacket styles for Spring is one of
my personal favorite wardrobe pieces. I have been obsessed
with the Kimono jacket. I love these jackets whether a floral
pattern, Aztec, striped, or solid, with or without tassel
detail, crochet or lace, I love them all. I have over ten in
my closet. Where I live it doesn't get cold often but
everywhere you go it goes from 80-90 degree heat
outside to freezing cold indoors with the AC. I always have a
cardigan or kimono on hand.  I even found these cute scarfs
at Maurice's online that have a tassel bottom and can be
worn over your shoulders to look like a kimono. They
are only $20 and they had a bogo sale last week, so I
picked up a few. I really like these because you can throw
one in your purse or wrap one around your neck like a scarf
then if you get cold unfold it for a kimono look. Maurice's
also has a lot of cute kimono style jackets for great prices.
You can find these kimono jackets everywhere right now.
A lot of my favorite stores in my links on the side bar carry
them, then I found several super cute styles on EBay
for under $10 from China.

One of my favorites is from Fashion Junkee which is in
my favorite shops link.

Cream floral kimono from FashionJunkee.com

Black floral kimono from Fashionjunkee.com

This cute kimono is from
www.fashionjunkee.com and I
have the black. It fits amazing
and goes with everything. It
is on sale for $19.99. I plan to
order the cream when I get
back from vacation. They have
a few cute styles in stock for
under $30.

This kimono I found at
www.target.com.

Below are a few styles I found
on the Polyvore site, as you
can see they are inexpensive
and you can add several
colors and styles to your closet
for very little money. I highly
recommend this piece for
every closet this spring.
You can wear it with everything
and it looks great with all the
bohemian inspired pieces that
are on trend right now.

I just got a few catalogs in the
mail this week from Pacsun,
Tilly's and Anthro that have
many outifts paired with kimono
style jackets. These look great
with cut off shorts and a tank
top, jeans and a tee, over a
sundress or maxi dress, with
cute skirts and tees, basically
every style. You can't go wrong
for sure.

Hope my posts for this evening
were informative and helped
give you some ideas for jackets
that are in for the season. I read
a lot of magazines and articles
online, even style icon and
designer Rachel Zoe has a
article with the top jacket styles
for Spring and she included
several of these styles along
with some other cute styles.
I have highlighted my personal
favorites but you can also take
a look into replacing your
military style jackets with the
kimono style jacket which is
different then the Kimono
jackets I have here, it is a solid
jacket with a open front and
sash tie waist. Then they are
recommending replacing
leather motorcycle style jackets
with suede, I mentioned in my
prior post. Denim jackets are
still in along with the denim
vest, and I have seen a lot of
embroidered pattern jackets.
It's all about our personal
style and what each of us are
drawn to. I also try to purchase
pieces that will go best with the
style of clothes I already
have. I like to add a few trendy
pieces each season to my
wardrobe to dress up pieces I
already own. Otherwise I would
break the bank every season
purchasing all new clothes.

Thank you for passing by and
hope you have enjoyed my top
three jacket style must haves
for Spring 2015. Xoxo, ✌️❤️

Must Have Jackets for Spring: Double Breasted Blazer

Next up for the must have Spring jackets
is another favorite of mine, the Double
Breasted Blazer. I have chosen a couple
style on Polyvore that are in different price
ranges and colors.

My favorites are by JCrew.

This blazer is the JCrew double breasted
blazer and retails for $198. Below is the
link to this jacket.

I love the double breasted blazer and think
it is a must have for all closets. It looks
great with a pair of slacks or a skirt for a
office look or you can pair it with jeans
and tee shirt for a more casual look.

I also love the JCrew Thomboy blazer.

This has a more fitted look and is cut right
at the waist. This blazer retails for $178.
I recently purchased this jacket for my
wardrobe.

Below are my Polyvore picks and be sure
to check out Target for some trendy and
well priced blazers. I posted a white and
navy striped blazer I purchased back in
January for $34.99 and have seen many
cute style for under $35. You don't always
have to spend a lot to get the latest styles
and trends.

Thank you for checking out my favorite
Double breasted jackets for spring. I
always love to hear readers feedback on
what styles and trend are your favorites.
Xoxo, ✌️❤️

Top Must Have Jackets for Spring: Suede Jacket

Tonight I am going to highlight my favorite
trends for jackets for spring.

First up is the Suede jacket.

Suede and fringe are both big trends
for spring.

My personal favorite style is this Kendall &
Kylie jacket from Pacsun.

It has both the suede and fringe. I love the
style and shape of this jacket. This would
look amazing with so many pieces in my
wardrobe. Everyone is different so you of
course you have to find the style that is
best for you.

Photos are from www.pacsun.com

Jacket retails for $60

Below are a few of my other favorites
from Polyvore.

Suede jackets are the motto jackets of
spring. They will look amazing with your
favorite ripped jeans and tee shirts. Then
you can dress them up with a dress or
skirt. Suede looks great with the trendy
boho style that is huge for this season.
You can't go wrong with suede for spring.

Hope you enjoy my favorites and would
love to hear what you love for spring.
Do you like the suede and fringe look?
Or do you prefer the more classic motto
style suede jacket. Either way you will
look fabulous and trendy with a suede
jacket in your wardrobe this season.

Coral floral, Spring Boho Chic

Coral floral fringe boho chic
My favorite colors last spring and this spring are pretty much the same. I love mint, coral, yellow, aqua, turquoise, and cream. Above is a cute little outfit I had fun putting together with some spring bohemian flair. Love the skirt and hope to find something similar for way less. Love to layer the bohemian pieces. I saw a cute maxi skirt that was dip dyed in cream and shades of coral with a button down, faded denim but in a coral shade with a cream crochet tank, was to die for. Since seeing that I have been drawn to the cream and coral pieces. Enjoy my for fun polyvore piece. Would love to hear if anyone has seen a skirt similar or to hear what you think of my choices.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and I will be back next week with some fun new stuff hopefully. Should get some mail tomorrow and then Monday through Friday everything else I have ordered should arrive so I can take some spring pics for here. Till then happy fashion hunting and bargain finding.
