Mid week here and got some awesome polishes and nail tattoos from my friend. She said she thought of me cause I love nail polish when she saw these cut pink ribbon nail tattoos. With October days away it is almost breast cancer awareness month.
I have cupcake orders for my baking business for two boutique events and a ladies church group for pink ribbon decorated and themed yummy dliteful creation cupcakes. Why not do my nails in support of a great cause. My girlfriend is a big breast cancer supporter she does the walks, raises money and more. You can find these tattoos for your nails at beauty supply shops and michael's craft store is where she found mine.
The polishes I got today are Essie trophy wife then china glaze special breast cancer awareness line I got exquisite and there was another Essie I have to look at the name. I will update on here shortly.
I tried on all three polishes. Essie Trophy Wife is gorgeous and I love blue, turquoise and teal colors so much, that and purple or black/almost black colors are a huge part of my collection. I'm not big into crackle and I use to have a lot of matte polishes a couple of years ago but around winter last year that was out. Crazy how quick some things come back. Anyways I also don't like the magnetic polish that much either, it's cool but my thumb never looks as cool as the rest and being a bit of an OCD perfectionist kind of person it almost makes me feel anxious looking at it lol. It is fun like I said but for a day I couldn't wear that all week or a couple days. It's so weird I get bored with a polish quick. I have a few that I wear for five days maybe six, with my toes I wear same the color for two weeks unless I have a special event or occasion then I will change them to match or coordinate with my dress or outfit. I am big into coordinating my wardrobe, accessories and nails. Ido like everything to be matched perfect just coordinated nicely.
Okay wandered off subject for a minute it's late and raining, I'm enjoying sitting on my back patio writing this. The Essie Trophy wife is a gorgeous color, has a nice shimmer to it and applied nicely with two coats. I won't be wearing it yet on my hands but it is in line for soon. Lol.
I painted the china glaze pink with a gorgeous almost iridescent pretty glimmer almost sparkle to it. I like pink it took me years to warm up to it cause being a rock girl and when I was younger big into punk, heavy metal, rock and underground local music I always have had a passion for dark everything. I wore red, purple and blue but in dark vamp shades. For a brief period I was going for manicure and pedicure every two weeks and would do a French or American maybe red for Christmas and green for st party's fat. Pink was never a must have or favorite. Now that I have two daughters I have begun to enjoy the pink a lot more. This china glaze is a keeper.
I did two costs, second coat was thick of the China Glaze then I added the nail tattoo. Was simple just like a fake body tattoo apply with a damp cloth, pressure for a few minutes, slowly peel off the back and there it is! Your pink ribbon. I stress slowly peeling off cause first one i saw the edge was stuck down so peeled off and some tore off. Be slow and take your time. It is so small I used a q-tip with water and pushed it down with that for 2-3 minutes give or take.
I always finish off with my Posche or Out The Door quick dry, today it was a coat of Posche since I just got a new bottle:). I think it came out super pretty. I will rock this for sure come October in support of breast cancer awareness month. Enjoy everyone and I got my Birchbox today will share my thought on my second box and this time I changed up my profile so I got betters things that I use and like;). Even got a color club nail polish. Everyone already got their's this month mine was lost so I just got it. Thinking of joining another one I saw tonight, I love the box subscription it's like getting a present every month:). Come on girls we all know we love presents. Girly stuff at that. I think it's the best:). Have a great evening, I am in the best mood I have been in over a week, feeling great and things are going really good. I am so happy more people have started following me and both my stores are doing great. I opened an etsy shop I had one for my jewelry but was over the prices. I decided with my crafts and decor items I would try store envy I just don't see the traffic like I got on etsy. More people are familiar with etsy. Store envy is great I love it and no posting fees or percentage of sales taken off. In one day I posted only four wreaths and I have jewelry, wreaths, decor and candles on storenvy, today only my four wreaths got more likes, shares and views then all my stuff on storenvy. Check out my shops and let me know what you think. Www.dlitefulcr8tion.storenvy.com and www.etsy.com/dlitefulcr8tions. Have 10% off till oct 15. Thank you everyone

Adventures in color samples...
Got a load of new colors this week:). Can't wait to try them all. Also heading to Orlando to hit Disney, will be hitting the outlet malls on Saturday so hope to scoop up some more new colors.
Saturday my Essie Matte about you will be at the local beauty supply, every shop is sold out or doesn't carry it but they found one bottle at their other location and the manager is going to pick it up tomorrow for me:)! Can't wait have a lot of ideas.
Also hit eBay, ordered a few indie polishes, a five piece set of nail dotting tools, nail tape, nail brushes, and some holo silver top coat to give that holographic look to my other polishes. I figure why buy a bunch of matte and holo polishes when I can just use a top coat:). Save me money plus I love making my own creations.
Tonight my oldest daughter wanted to paint her nails. I got some Essie polishes for 2.99 and 3.99 at Marshall's so she tried out the Brazilian orange color. I also got my mini sampler polishes I won from serum no 5 so tried a couple colors on each nail and china glaze lubu heels, which I love:)!
I also got a bottle of Out the Door top coat cause I have been told it works good so I used that as the top coat. I have seche but it usually shrinks and then is super thick so scratches easily. My other favorite is Sally Hansen insta dry clear top coat. I use Poshe too which is very good also when it comes to a quick dry. The out the door dried super fast, which is my top priority then it is very nice shine and finish. Let's see how long it lasts cause my daughter plays basketball, cheers and takes art class, her nails chip easy.
Here are some photos when I get to my laptop I will label each one to let you know the colors and combos I used. Right now using my phone hard to label photos.
Enjoy and can't wait to share my finds from Orlando and I have some cakes, cupcakes and Oreo Mickey pops I made that I will be posting on my baking blog. Tomorrow will be in the Magic Kingdom with Mickey and friends to celebrate my baby girls birthday! Have a great weekend an happy shopping and blogging:)

Tropical storm boredom nail samples
Here in south Florida it is storming. Great timing cause my birthday is tomorrow and would have loved to do something this weekend but have decided that birthdays are not what they use to be:(.
I wanted to try out a couple new polishes I got this week but painted my nails Friday so didn't want to remove them yet so decided to use some fake stick on nails my daughter had a try some out.
I tried the china glaze stone cold matte with silver flecks and I love this polish decided to do a animal print stamp in a glossy semi shimmer black but didn't want to stick.
Then I tried another matte polish I have by Cynthia Rowley that I got at TJ Maxx for 2.00 the color is not listed on the bottle anywhere. Love the color then I applied some blue glitter polish by pure ice that belongs to my daughter for another photo or look.
Next up was my china glaze deals from Sally's this week for .75. Started with two costs of Ride the Waves then applied a thick coat of the Luxe and Lush which is a jelly with large iridescent flakes and smaller flakes in same color, took one photo that way then went ahead and added one more coat of the Ride the Waves to give the jelly sandwich effect. Keep in mind since I was just sampling these didn't use base coat or top coat on any. Ten the fake nail was a light French color when I started.
The julep polishes! I been wanting to see if these were worth the money they charge for these. I mentioned in a earlier post that I got the box for a penny. I figured this was the time to sample these polishes since I am on a tight budget after back to school and with my little one's birthday coming. The colors I sampled is the blue which I love it is a light blue almost turquoise I love blue polish:). The name is Claire and it is my favorite. I think this may be one of my new favorite colors. The polish glided on so nice and was full opacity in one coat almost. I did two just cause the French under it was peakin through. It is shiny with no top coat and the polish is very creamy.
Next up was the purple with shimmer which was the color I thought would be my favorite cause purple is my favorite color then blue. I like the color very shiny and pretty but a lot like another color I have. The quality of the polish is pretty good. Better then china glaze but have had better for less money. The purple color is Morgan. Again I did not use a base or top coat so what you see is just two coats of the polish.
Last julep was the yellow, I am not a big yellow fan. Being blonde red and yellow are suppose to be my colors that look best but I just don't like the color much. This color is pastel and actually very soft and pretty. Great spring color. Being such a pale color expected it to go on and need multiple coats but had good coverage with one coat and two was perfect. Again creamy and shiny great look to it. The color name is Blake. I look forward to using all these on my nails and playing with some stamps, water marbling or other nail art techniques.
Hope you enjoyed my review and please if you have any of these colors or have used them please share with me I love to hear from others:). Also if anyone knows the name of the Cynthia Rowley polish let me know please always like to know the name of the polish.
Happy blogging,
Meli

Sally steals on sale
This week started back to school for my girls so in the am I'm up super early and dressed to drop them off. I drop off my youngest at 9 so I have till 11:30 to pick her up and that means time to kill so I have been going around browsing stores.
I have found some amazing deals at TJ Maxx, Marshall's and Sally's this week and a cool find at the Dollar Tree to share.
Starting off with Sally's, Tuesday morning I ran into Sally's waiting for TJ Maxx to open and they have a ton of China Glaze, Orly and other brands marked down. Some are 3.50, 2.49 and 1.50 then you get 50% off that price plus I have some Sally's credit and points. Tuesday I got a gorgeous green figured since fall is coming stock up on some darker fall colors. The color is Agro and has a metallic sheen to it. I did a mani that day using that color and Nicole by OPI Not a Gold bigger. Look good together:)
Today I decided to swing by the Sally's by my house cause they always have a huge selection and mark down newer colors too when they have been on shelf awhile. This was an ultimate score and where I used my Sally's credit. I got For Audrey, one of my top favorite colors cause it is a Tiffany blue and what girl doesn't love the color blue on the Tiffany's box:). It was 1.50 then 50% off so .75! I also got china glaze Harvest Moon, great fall color a metallic rust color, Stone Cold a dark Gray with silver metallic shimmer, I love darker colors, Luxe and Lush which has iridescent flakes looks like snow:), and one of my new favorites Full Spectrum this one has multi colored sparkle and glitter. I also got a small bottle from Finger Paints in hip hip hue ray which is a solid white with skinny brush for nail art:)!
Earlier in the week I scooped up two packages of nail art 8 mini bottles that have glitters, flakes and even shapes in them for added little accents. I have seen these at beauty stores and on the beauty nail aisles for a few packets well over 5.00 up to 12.00. For eight mini bottles it is a dollar! I ran by the dollar tree by my Sally's this am to grab the rest cause they have six different packets with different styles and of course they were all sold out but decided to run to the dollar tree by sedanos they always have what I'm looking for and picked up the rest. You know what this means? Lots of nail photos from mani and pedis to come:)
Posting photos of beauty finds and then my quick mani I did with the green and gold:) Enjoy and I will be posting some cute purses, clothes and other deals I found at TJMaxx and Marshall's shortly:). Hope you have a great weekend and excited my birthday is Monday can't wait:).
