Mitch Stone Lustre Hair Care Products Review

Today sharing my review on Mitch Stone hair care. I was sent this amazing package with the Lustre Shampoo, Conditioner (the hair lustre martini, or cocktail I have been calling it) because the lustre drops and Luxury Repair & Style leave in treatment, are a match made in heaven for shiny healthy hair.

I obviously color my hair often, I started as a teen with playing with fun colors or styles as a way to express my creative and fun side. I have always loved being different and unique, having my own unique look or style to set me apart from everyone else. I have been blonde most of my life and always love being blonde proud of my blonde roots. Sometimes I get bored and want to experiment. I have been black with blonde, then added some purple to that next thing was purple ombré, then going for rainbow hair, silver, metallic and basically trying every fashion fun color and regular everyday colors also. After many years my hair has taken a lot of damage, I love long hair and lost 10-12 inches of my hair last year after going from red to silver. My hair had to be stripped several times and toned to get that white base for silver and pastels. Not long after achieving the look and having it for summer along with a metallic pastel rainbow look, I went to purple again. Purple always fades best and just looks best on me, I feel it lasts longest and needs the least amount of maintenance to stay looking nice without looking green or off.

My hair was really lacking luster, shine, manageability and all over healthy look when I was sent the Mitch Stone products. I always like to really be able to test out the products and since I don't wash my hair daily usually going 3-6 days between washings if not longer because I don't want to have to use stripping shampoos, and heat styling products on my hair often. The Mitch Stone products are all sulfate free so I love that, it doesn't strip my hair of its natural oils, at the same time not damaging my color.

Mitch stone Lustre conditioner is amazing, a little goes a long way for a good coverage to really work it the hair and condition it deep. I leave my conditioner in my hair 10-15 minutes. When I shower I always wet my hair with cold water, scrub shampoo into scalp mostly making sure to really work into my scalp to remove any build up or dirt around that area. I add a little extra cold water and work the shampoo into the ends then rinse. I then will squeeze all remaining water from my hair, starting at my scalp and working my way down I apply the conditioner, then work it in combing with my wide tooth comb or my fingers.

I will then clip it up and change the water to warm for my shower. I use cold water because this helps with the fading of the color, hot water opens the hair cuticle and more color rinses out each wash, but cold water will help keep the color locked in and allows it to fade slower. Once I am done with my shower I rinse my conditioner using cold water with one last warm splash before towel drying.  I always make sure to dry my hair with the towel even after combing it out or brushing it with my wet brush that is great for detangling hair without breakage or added damage.

My next step is to mix a few drops of the Lustre drops with the Repair and style leave in cream and apply to my hair, I usually focus on the ends and try to stay clear of my roots so they don't get greasy faster. After making sure to work the product into my hair and using my wide tooth comb to make sure it is evenly applied I will either allow my hair to air dry or some days I will wait an hour for air drying then I will blow dry for a straight look. I try to avoid long term heat styling or exposure to avoid additional damage. I'm trying to grow my hair out and get it back to a healthy condition. Mitch stone products have helped me so much. My hair was breaking, splitting. I would blow dry it and little hairs would be blowing all over now my brush has less hair in it when I clean it, less hair on the counter and when I blow dry no little hairs breaking off blowing all over.

After I blow dry or if I run the curling iron it flat iron over some areas I use the Mitch stone Lustre drops for that added shine as well as to control any fly always or smooth any areas with more slip ends or damage. I have really loved using these products. I truly can see the transformation in the health and over all look of my hair. It has more shine, Lustre and feels super soft to touch.

If you are looking for a new product to sample for color treated, dry, and damaged hair or even split ends this is perfect for all of the above. I really recommend the use of the Lustre drops with the styling treatment. The leave in made my hair feel so good, shine and protected it against any additional damage my blow dryer or flat iron may add, but I was really not using these styling products often.

If you want more info on Mitch Stone Hair care you can follow them on IG @mitchstonehair and on the internet at http://www.mitchstonehair.com/. Thank you to BXX Media for sending me these amazing products from Mitch Stone Hair. I know not only myself but both my girls, one is 9 the other 17, both enjoyed using these products also in their hair. My youngest has curly ringlet hair and I used the hair Lustre martini mix on her hair after showering and it was all she needed to keep her curls shiny and frizz free.

Can't wait to order more products and continue to use Mitch Stone in my hair to continue the road the rebuilding and strengthening my color treated damaged hair. It is finally growing back shiny, healthy and stronger. Summer will be mostly growing out my purple and going lighter blonde to return to my roots for my 40 birthday. It's always fun to share my hair color journeys and share reviews on amazing products.

Thanks for reading my review and be sure to check out these amazing products by Mitch Stone. Sulfate free, vitamin infused and amazing Lustre. Peace love and light always xoxo.

House of Skye

House Of Skye

Package from @wanderwithmesa on IG
Lovely packaging and amazing customer service.  Owner went above and beyond to send me sizing details, product information and photos of the styles on, up close , etc.

Shipping was very fast for international shipping and all items arrived wrapped beautifully and in perfect condition.

I have been a long time lover of Spell Design, or Spell and the Gypsy collective from Australia so I have been keeping an eye out on some other brands like Auguste the Label and Arnhem, when this amazing brand House of Skye caught my attention.

I fell in love with their Flamenco skirt and then once I visited their website only to see they also have fun, vintage vibe graphic tops I was hooked.  The skirts were sold out on the House of Skye website but after commenting on one of her photos on IG she directed me to @WanderwithMesa and they had this color in my size in stock, Thank you Natasha from HOS for that helpful hint because Wander with Mesa was amazing to work with going totally above all expectations.  Then also had the graphic tank in white with Stardust Soul and then other styles/colors that I have recently purchased.

I made my first purchase from the House of Skye website, grabbing the Wild as West graphic tank in rustic, along with pre ordering the Jipsee Days Flamenco skirt in Sunset Sky.  This collection has feathers, cattle skulls, and cactus very Arizona desert inspired with awesome graphic tanks to go with, and of course matching blouses.  You can get the Desert Rose red or Sunset Sky orange in the fabric for the skirt and blouses. The graphic tanks currently are sold out but come in rustic brown and dark washed grey, there are more coming soon in new colors possibly.  They go so amazing together with the color and fabric design, matching the graphic tank designs, total match made in the desert. Has a very earthy desert tone and style to it, she nailed it perfectly calling the collection Lost in Arizona.  These patterns and colors are totally my style because I love everything southwestern with cattle skulls, cactus, feathers and more.  Can't wait for my new pieces to arrive, should be here when I return from Spring break.

The Flamenco skirt above is a S/M and runs true to size I normally wear a S sometimes M in Spell skirts and this one fits perfectly.  The colors are super vibrant and great for spring/summer.  Fabric is light weight, soft and the pattern is really beautiful.

My Stardust Soul white graphic tank is M/L and fits me good, I may have been able to wear a S/M but being larger busted didn't want to take any chances in case it didn't fit.  Also these items were sold out very fast and hard to come by so I wanted to make sure I secured one skirt and top.  The tank is soft cotton and the pattern is very nice.  They go perfectly together and also are versatile for styling or mixing and matching with other skirts, denim, and then lots of top options for styling with the skirt.

I only tried these on quickly as I have had a lot of stuff going on personally in my life and did not have time to style outfit or even iron.  I am already waiting for another flamenco skirt and one of the wrap style skirts from this same collection, one with purple and the other blue looking tones.  I have a grey Gypsy tank and white with blue print tank on hold waiting for my payment.  I can't wait to have more colors and styles to wear for spring and summer.  I think this skirt being light weight then shorter in the front with long maxi length back is perfect for walks on the beach as well as summer adventures.  Color makes me happy and this entire collection is filled with vibrant beautiful colors.

Be sure to check out House of Skye on their website link below, and see their latest collection Lost in Arizona.  I am working on the outage flamenco skirt and red Dallas skirt with a couple tanks that will look perfect with the skirts.

Hope you enjoy my review on this new brand I came across, they have been around for a little while but I only first discovered them in the fall, winter of 2016.

Have a lovely weekend and Happy Spring to all.  Hope everyone has safe and fun spring break vacations, Peace love and light always xoxo

Statement Necklaces

Statement Necklaces

Right now statement necklaces are all the rage and one of the hottest growing trends.  With so many different shops, designers and brands designing these amazing necklaces that can truly dress up and add that little something extra to any look.  Whether you're rocking a graphic tee or a little black dress, or going to a wedding or just out on the town you can add one of these necklaces to any look for that extra wow.

It use to be that for these styles of necklaces you would be investing anywhere from 60-200 or for the designer brands some up to the thousands.  Not anymore, with eBay sellers selling them for as low as 2-10 and now stores like Walmart carrying them for $10-14 you can pretty much own a bunch of styles and I love having multiple styles, or sizes for stacking them also.  You can stack these pieces to create your own looks which makes them even more fun.  I also enjoy mixing the metals and adding a gold piece to a silver necklace for that extra pop.

All the necklaces are adjustable and can be worn as a choker, bib, collar style and then as longer length necklaces.  This makes stacking and layering them fun.  I have purchased some cute chokers from Ettika and Forever 21 that look really nice with one of these or even two or three.  It all depends on the look or style you are trying to get.  I love an edgy rocker look or a bohemian chic look so I like to stack some of the edgier pieces with a choker.

The above piece is almost identical to a style worn by Beyonce and looks amazing with the necklace above it and have also stacked with a longer necklace making this more a collar length.

This turquoise squash style vintage inspired necklace was purchased at Walmart recently for $12 back in August for my birthday I looked high and low for something almost identical and got my feather accented one seen in the top photo, but couldn't resist this one since it looks almost identical to the vintage pieces sold for hundreds of dollars.

Above is a necklace from Ily Mix you can find their link in my favorite shops section.  Love this one for layering also and that it has mixed metals, crystals and pearls.  Goes with so many looks and styles.

Enjoy these fun looks and would love if you tagged me in some of your looks if you read this post and run out to Walmart or go onto Ebay to purchase some for yourself.  Happy shopping and styling my fashion friends, Peace love and light always xoxo

I am obsessed with ankle boots and cute flats right now.  Normally I am a sandal or flip flop kinda girl living in south Florida they are the easiest and most comfortable with the heat, but the passed few years working as a stylist and in fashion I have really grown my shoe collection.  I always have had mid to high boots but ankle booties and flats are my obsession.  Above are some of my faves from 2015-current.  Top Left; Pink, faux suede, silver toe detail and ankle cut out boots by Mi.iM shoes (@shopmiim on IG), Second Left; Target lace up heels. Third Left; Target lace up, open toe, faux suede ankle boots.  Bottom Left; Strappy dark khaki flats by Mi.iM shoes.

Top Right; is a collage of some of my favorite shoes right now.  From left to right; faux suede sneakers from Mossimo at Target, Mi.iM shoes strappy flats in dark Khaki, cut out detail ankle boots by Mossimo at Target, flat khaki flats by Mi.iM shoes, and brown slip on sandals from Target.  Bottom Right; Faux suede fringe ankle boots from Maurices.

Love how this outfit styled by myself turned out.  Love fishnets, printed stocking and leggings under super distressed jeans.  Style Lately is a shop I am sure you most likely saw all over Instagram with lots of cute and trendy graphic tees then they kind of went unheard of for some time,  well an amazing, super stylish babe purchased the store and is bringing back all the trendy graphic tees again.  I am excited to announce I was asked to be a Brand Ambassador for them and I got this Romance Definition tee to add to my collection.  Styled it over top a caged black bra top I got off eBay to compliment the check cut, high waisted fishnets and Distressed blue jeans from Forever 21.  I accessorized with Ettika Jewelry Wanna rock all night choker available through Ettika and their, A thousand long nights earrings available at Saks.com.

In my flat lay photos you will see a cute black and white grid pattern skirt that is from Tara Lynn's Boutique, statement necklace from @IlyMix and some lace up heels from Forever 21. This is why I own so many graphic tees, of course I love really cool and fun designs but also because they can be styled so many ways.  You can go from fishnets and jeans to a cute stylish pencil skirt and heels for a casual day look, work look, or evening look.  Love that so much and honestly has always been my favorite wardrobe piece cause I could literally wear my tee to work then do a quick change to jeans for a night out or happy hour.

The above collage is all styled around this super cool flannel.  Outlaw Flannels are recycled men's flannels that have been acid washed and distressed by the owner of Shop Misha.  You can order your own or check out more of her stylish pieces on Instagram @shop.Misha.  I paired my Outlaw Flannel with a vintage Spell and the Gypsy leader of the pack graphic tank, and then my favorite Kenni girlfriend jeans c/o Silver Jeans Co.  For those who don't follow me regularly I have been a Silver Jeans ambassador for two years and recently they launched their new program called Silver Style Setters, I am so honored to be a part of the team.  I have been wearing Silver Jeans for 20 years and love the quality, fit and styles so much.  They always have the best jeans and denim hands down.

To wrap up my post we decided spur of the moment to take advantage of the gorgeous weather and cool front here in Florida, to go camping at Peace River.  Normally it is so hot and camping is always fun but when hot can be not so pleasant at night sleeping but with the weather being in the 60-70's during the day and 50's at night was perfect.  Honestly the sky was so clear we could see all the constellations and even saw a few shooting stars.  We took the shade canopy off the tent and slept being able to look up at the sky to enjoy that amazing view.  We were lucky to find a spot right on the rivers edge, enjoyed our camp fire, released Chinese paper lanterns we had left over from a prior trip when we had some rain and just had some amazing time together as a family.  I always love camping because everyone puts away their phones and we get to spend someone on one time together just catching up and telling stories.  I packed my Explore More tee by Dazey La, Kenni jeans by Silver jeans, Happy camper graphic tank from Fashion Junkee and my cute Happy Camper socks by Woven Pear.

Thank you for passing by and hope you enjoyed my post.  I am excited and counting the days for our annual Spring Break trip to the Smoky Mountains.  Can't wait to share some nature shots and of course cute spring styles which for me are going to be some fall and winter looks I didn't get to wear here in Florida since it was so hot this fall/winter.  Wishing everyone peace, love and light xoxo.

Hair Slinky, Best Hair tie ever.

Hair Slinky

NO DENTS
NO TANGLES
NO SLIP GRIP

Hair Slinky
by: LA VITA GLAM

PRODUCT REVIEW BY: MELISSA @CR8TIVEWANDERLUST IG

Today I am bringing you my final review on the Hair Slinky. I was sent a sample of these amazing hair ties, and let me start off by saying I was skeptical sat first.  Over the years I have had many hair ties and accessories claiming to not break the hair or leave a crease/dent in the hair when using. I tried them but usually was disappointed. I always remain open minded when reviewing or trying a product and I want to make sure to put the products to the true test before giving my review on them. I did a review back when these first arrived but since have had more time to wear and use them these are now the only hair ties we use in our house.

Both myself and my oldest daughter have wavy hair that we both spend lots of time blow drying straight or flat ironing. If you spend time getting your hair straight like us then you know the pain of hot days and wanting to pull your hair back or up but that dreaded line or crease left by normal hair ties. You also know that you will do anything to keep your hair straight for as many days as possible, so sometimes you have to suffer being plain Jane with your hair down or not being able to pull it back without ruining the look. We both tried the Hair Slinky and were amazed that it did not leave the line or crease.  Now we can wear our hair half up/down, in a ponytail, or just pull it back to keep from sweating on a hot day which can also cause straight hair to become wavy or messed up.  Hair Slinky is a savior for our hair after blowing out straight and the only hair tie we use now.

My youngest daughter has curly hair, the tight ringlet style curls (think young Shirley Temple)  that make her hair tangle easy and hard to style. Usually her hair bands or hair ties end up tangled either breaking the hair or sometimes having to be cut out. With the Hair Slinky she now allows me to put hair up because she is no longer afraid or worried of the pain of removing the bands from her tangled hair.  They don't cause damage and she even likes to use them to put her own hair up to keep it out of her face when at school since she can easily remove them herself now that they don't become tangled like regular hair ties.

My entire family loves these hair ties/bands, we all wear one around our wrist if not in our hair so we always have one on hand. I love to use them for throwing my hair up in a bun. I use to call it my messy or mom bun but with the Hair Slinky it is a nice bun, the spiral style of the band keeps all the hairs in place perfectly.  You can order your own at www.hairslinky.com. You can also follow them on Instagram @hairslinky and Facebook at www.facebook.com/hairslinky.

My messy mom bun is now nice and polished thanks to my Hair Slinky ties.  The spiral cord design helps hold all the hair in place and allows for quick styling.

I also think that the Hair Slinky makes for a nice piece of arm candy to mix n match with my bracelets.  If you are like me and love to stack your arms with bracelets then the Hair Slinky looks nice with bracelets and doesn't even look like it would be a hair tie.

Top:  Paired with my Sashka Co bracelets in metallic gold

Bottom:  gorgeous blue and metallic silver look great paired next to my custom turquoise bracelet with feather charm made by Fawning In Love on Etsy, links below where to find.

Hope you enjoy these amazing hair ties as much as my family and I do, they come in many sizes and colors. I love the metallic ties that blend in with jewelry and of course purple to match my current hair color. Thank you Hair Slinky for these amazing ties to review and my new obsession for hair ties/accessories.

Peace love and light always xoxo✌🏼❤✨😘
