My week of ootd posts

My Week of Fashion OOTD posts...

Here are some of my #ootd posts from IG and Twitter.

I found these cute tunic babydoll dresses last fall and ordered a tan one, it arrived damaged so the owner of the eBay shop was kind enough to let me keep the damage one, which I sewed the seam that was undone, and she sent me this one to replace for free.  Love when a store has amazing customer service and goes above everything to make sure their customer is satisfied.  I could not find an exact match but below found a close one in navy.  If you search Umgee Babydoll Tunic lots of styles will pop up and all different prices.

Similar design in Navy

I happened to get very lucky one day when walking the shopping plaza by my house and one of the little boutiques was having a sidewalk sale, I found my white crochet and fringe detail vest marked down for $7.99.  I tried to find a good bargain deal but had a hard time even finding this style vest.  Right now the fringe all over vests are trending, which I ordered one while searching I found for under $25 on eBay.  I saw they were trending and selling for over $35 up to $50 so grabbed one that was $22 with shipping.  Love it.

My sandals are knee high MIA black gladiators.  I had a gift certificate I won for PacSun so I scooped up two pairs of these and some feather print Converse, along with a few cute graphic tees and tanks.  I found links for the same sandals below in both brown and black.  I have a similar dress to the one above in tan and brown with a red, blue multi colored Navajo style print on the front chest area that look amazing with the brown sandals or brown boots.

My necklace I was able to find almost the exact same one at Maurices.com below

Last up my bracelet, purchased from my local Forever 21 store.  As you know their stock sells out fast and is always changing.  I could not find the same exact one, mine is a stretchy silver turkish looking bracelet with little bells on the outside.  I found this pretty etched silver bangle

My wrist party is Alex and Ani bangles, I have a retired feather bangle, the charm feather, buddha charm, monopoly dog, and pineapple charm.  I also am wearing one of my PuraVida Bracelets for a splash of color.  Be sure to check out PuraVida and use my code MelissaSep10 for a discount when checking out.  They are a great company donating money to many charities and proceeds from the sales of all the items helps employ local Costa Rican Artisans.

More Karma Less Drama tee by LeMotto.  Black and white pencil skirt from Forever 21, statement necklace for Walmart for $5, Rock & Republic heels ( best heels ever so comfortable), Alex and Ani charm bangle and heart beaded stretch bracelet, mixed with some gold plain bangles and my Juicy Couture Locket and Key bracelet that was a gift from my mom.

My gorgeous necklace is a pink agate slice from Adam Rabbit Jewelry on Etsy.  She had a $10 mystery necklace sale where you would receive a mystery necklace valued up to $30.  I have many pieces by her and love them all, this one is no exception it is beautiful.  She does not stock this exact same necklace in her shop but one of my favorite stores does have the same stone but with gold chain

My tee shirt was a special order from Girl Monday Apparel on Etsy.  They have lots of fun and humorous sayings on many styles of tees and tanks, we all know I love graphic tees and tanks.  I have found so many amazing shops that I love.

My BillaBong Women's tank is sold out at Pacsun.com, I did find them in stock in all sizes below

My jeans are Jcrew Boyfriend jeans and I have several pairs, they are one of favorite fit and style jeans I own, the distressing is just right and they fit amazing.  Also they are made of the softest denim. I do not put these in the dryer, they are washed on delicate or my steam cleaning setting then hung to dry.  Grab them while they still have some left.  I got them on sale every time and just grabbed a last pair before they are all gone.  Size down one size for good fit.

Use my code MelissaSep10 for 25% discount on all PuraVida orders

I'm a sweet disaster tank, feather kimono with pom pom trim, Hollister boyfriend jeans and Lacey Ryan necklace. Details below for items.

My tee is from Pony Show in Nashville, they have an Etsy store and I have to say all their graphic tees and tanks rock.  Love this store and love all their other vintage items also.  Great find for sure.

or some that have not read this in my previous posts, I am a Silver Jeans Co Ambassador and love this brand.  My first pair of jeans they sent me when becoming an ambassador for their brand we're these amazing Boyfriends jeans I had wanted to order for a few months.  I have over 20 pairs of Silver Jeans and the only style I didn't own were the boyfriend style.  These are now one of my favorite go to pairs of jeans whether cropped or worn ankle length.  I love them with everything I wear them with.  Check the out in the link below.

My purse is my everyday bag, I got it from the Christmas in July 50% off sale at Bohemian Vibe Boutique.  It is currently sold out and I am looking for others that are comparable.  They did have a brown in stock if you want to check the link below.  It is an amazing bag and I get compliments every day, people always think it was way more expensive.  I paid $30 for it retails for $60, best $30 I ever spent lol.  I have used it daily unless I need a brown bag or something smaller.  It comes with a wristlet style pouch that is attached to one of the straps, then has fringe detail on the sides love love love.

Above tee is also from Pony Show same link as above...

My amazing shoes from Sophie May Shop in Utah.

Gypsy soul floral tee and Not all who wander tee in blue from Boho Circus.  You can find both tees at

Gypsy Soul tee by Boho Circus with a Lace kimono from PacSun, Gunne vintage 70's floral skirt and Turkish coin necklace I got off Ebay for under $10.

Above link for the Gypsy Soul tee is for a Unisex Medium please be sure to get your correct size.

My kimono is sold out couldn't find but you can find many styles similar on eBay.

I am the queen of finding items that are really on trend or hot selling items for less.  I saw these necklaces two years ago in a high end catalog for $75-95 and matching bracelet was $50-65.  I got the necklace and bracelet for $10 with shipping.  They are made very well, the material is thick and I have owned my necklace for over a year and worn it many times nothing has broken or happened.  My bracelet I have had a couple months less than the necklace and same thing both are solid well made pieces, very heavy.  Love them and can't imagine anyone who paid the high end price because these really look identical.

Not all who wander tee, Boho Circus

Also available in other sizes and colors, this link is for the unisex Medium.

Necklace is from one of my favorite Etsy Jewelry shops, Fawning in love.  It was a one time item but she does have similar items and lots of other great pieces everyone should check out.  Make sure to pass by her shop and show some love.

Hope you enjoyed my week of fashion and hope the links help you find the items I wore that you like, trying to make it easier for everyone who reads the blog.

My boots arrived...

Mi.iM Urban 04
From:

SophieMay.com

Today I received the boots I blogged about last week, and I love them. They are everything I had hoped for and more. I found these hot strappy ankle boots that looks exactly like the popular Free People ankle boots on Amazon. The name of the shop is SophieMay you can find the shop on Instagram @shopsophiemay. It's a boutique based out of Utah and they have so many awesome styles of clothes, accessories and of course shoes. You really can't beat these boots for the price considering the Free People version cost almost $200 and these are under $50.

I got the gray and at the time they only had a size 7.5 or I would have had to order a 9 in the beige or the navy they had all sizes in at different shops. I looked all over the internet once I found these look a like style boots for my size, I usually am a 7.5-9 depending on the style and cut but with boots I almost always size up because I usually wear socks sometimes thick socks but with ankle boots I usually don't wear socks. If I do wear socks they are very thin. I crossed my fingers and double checked the size chart which after measuring seemed like they would fit perfect. Today they arrived and I was so over the moon to try them on to find out they fit perfectly. I don't think a larger size would work honestly these are perfection. The quality is amazing and they look identical to the higher end ones you can't tell the difference really at all. I got the gray which is almost a dark brownish gray and can really match with almost everything. I had them on with my joggers I slept in and was walking around the house in them. Even wore them with my skirt today because I didn't want to take then off. They have a felt almost suede like material for the inside sole and feel so nice without socks. Here are some quick photos of them on after they arrived today.

If you can get your hands on a pair of these ankle boots don't miss out. I have had a hard time finding the other colors, navy is available on many sites in all sizes and the gray, which is the color I have seem to be easier to find but only a few sizes available. Brown and beige or very hard to find. I found a size 9 on Zulily last week but sold out now. I have found a few eBay sellers that say they will have new stock in the next week or two. I am hoping to get the lighter beige color but not going to be to worried if I can't since I just got the fringe gray boots, then the brown chunky heel side fringe boots from Maurices. I am good on boots, but I really love this style and think they look good with everything. I don't think they are going to be going out of style anytime soon, maybe if I do find the tan or beige I will order them since the quality really is good and for the price you can't go wrong, enjoy and hope you find a pair also.

Happy bargain shoe shopping xoxo ✌️❤️

General Hospital Fashion Scoop

General Hospital Fashion Finds

Everyone who has been a follower of my blog for some time knows I love to go over some of the latest fashions on same of the shows I watch on tv.  I love General Hospital, it is the only soap opera I have ever watched and I owe that to my grandmother and mom.  This week there were so many styles I loved but there were a few looks that stood out to me that I decided to go on the hunt for on my favorite fashion site shop style collective.  Below are some photos I grabbed off google image search of my favorite characters in the outfits then a shot of the outfit or what it was they were wearing with a link to where you can find it or something comparable.  I absolutely love Sam Morgan's style she has always been a favorite of mine, I also love Lulu's style, when they first re casted her character I wasn't loving the clothes but they have slowly gotten back to her style.

Samantha Morgan, General Hospital

Sam Morgan was wearing these fabulous high waisted tie sash trousers on an episode last week into this week.  You can find them below for $78.

Then her super cute floral dress when she accepted Patrick's Proposal is made by Rebecca Taylor

Ava Jerome, General Hospital

Ava is not one of my favorite characters but from time to time she does wear some cool trends.  I love this Coral draped top dress, with these Trina Turk earrings she wore to the meeting of the five families and to go to the hospital to let Sonny and Carly know she would be taking Avery.

Thursday and Friday Ava wore this sexy capped leave, white sheath dress with black trim and zip front.

Carly Corinthos, General Hospital

I have always loved Carly's style, she is one who dresses practical but classy all the time.  Whether wearing jeans and a classy top or a elegant dress she always looks on point.  This week I loved her blue ombre sweater with draped front.  Then she wore this gorgeous black sweater she had worn back in the spring and is sold out now, but still worth a mention because it is super cool.

Love this sweater Carly wore this week when having to hand over baby Avery, but it is sold out.  She wore it back in the spring also, so it has been out for a while now.  Will look for similar looks.

Maxie Jones, General Hospital

Maxie being the fashionista of the show always has some of the hottest trends for young ladies, earlier this week and the end of last week she wore this bright colored romper by Trina Turk with some gorgeous yellow Stella & Dot earrings.  Also check out the entire Trina Turk collection they have some cute pieces.  Also they have some not so summer shades also.

Lulu Spencer Falconeri

Free People Long Sleeve smocked tunic

This week Lulu had on a Free People white long sleeve, smocked tunic with a lace like detail on neck line, that caught my eye, other than that I didn't really see her wear much more.  Right now with Sonny in the hospital everyone is pretty low key.

That sums up the styles the stood out to my the passed couple of weeks, hasn't been a lot of fashion since Sonny is in the hospital and everyone is pretty much either home or there.  Will be sure to continue to try once a week or every other week to continue to do my General Hospital fashion finds since so many of my older readers and followers really love these.  I don't watch the Housewives shows anymore, I use to watch just to highlight the fashion for everyone but don't have the free time I use to and save it for shows that I really enjoy.

Happy soap shopping xoxo

Affordable Fall Home Decor Ideas

Happy Fall Y'all

It is official today is the first day of October and even though it still feels like summer where I live and will continue to feel this way pretty much the rest of the year, except for the occasional cool front, it is fall.  Usually I go all out for every holiday and season decorating, ever since we got our first apartment over twenty years ago I have loved to go over the top for the holidays.  As I have gotten older and my kids have aged I am slowly getting less and less into decorating every space of the home, and sticking to the entry, and family room with the occasional decor accents in the kitchen or dining room.  Christmas is the only holiday I still enjoy going all out for.  I still decorate and to some it may be going all out but to me it is a lot less then we are use to.

I started off the season already changing all the plug in heated scent warmers, candles and hand soaps to fall scents, my front entry outside has a fall welcome mat and Halloween witch themed wreath that I made a few years ago.  My indoor entry way is all decorated and decided instead of pulling all the ghosts and goblins of Halloween pasts, I would just take a gift Target gift card I had for $100 and grad a few items to give the house a warm and cozy fall fell without going to over the top.  Below are some of my favorite items with links, and then I will high light the items I used myself.  Enjoy and hope where ever you live you get to enjoy that crisp fall air and the beauty of the leaves changing.  I know I look forward to seeing all the photos from my friends and family that live up north as well as from my Instagram and social media friends posts.  Happy Fall Y'all and hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween also. XOXO

Thresholdâ„¢ Plaid Chenille Throw Orange

Threshold&#153 Cable Knit Throw Pillow

Just adding some fall throws and pillows with a mix of textures, patterns and colors will warm up the space and make it feel cozy.  I went with a plaid gray, orange and white throw, then a white and orange knit throw, with two cable knit pillows one in gray and then one in orange, with a plaid pillow.  Made the room feel so warm and cozy, along with bringing that fall feel without pushing to much decor.  XOXO
