I vote we cancel all Monday's

I vote we cancel all Monday's and make it a three day weekend, but then Tuesday would become the new Monday lol. Fighting a cold which won, started last week and was battling it good till both my girls had it, now been miserable for two days. Woke up all night, have had barely 2-3 hours of straight sleep for two nights, running a fever on and off all day, stuffy then runny nose, basically no fun at all. Top it all off the kids are sick, my younger daughter is pretty much at the end of it just has a little congestion and has been getting mid day headaches from sniffling or sinus pressure. My oldest missed school today and I'm sure she had a great time with no one home to bother her, from what I saw looked like she slept all day. I wish that was me but I did have Sunday which was pretty much sleeping and bumming around.

My makeup today was light, same eyeliner pencil in purple by NYX, black Kat Von D tattoo liner, Too Faced Better then Sex black mascara, MAC loose powder blush in Melba, Laura Mercier loose powder, MAC highlighter to brighten under my eyes, Bareminerals Smokey eye kit with double ended brush (one of my fave kits) contains Shades: Soul (light cream linen), Celestine (light pewter), Graphite Eye color (deep coal), and my lips are Lancôme Juicy tubes in tickled pink. Got addicted to those Lancôme Juicy tubes in my early twenties when I had multiple friends working at Macy's at the Lancôme counter. I get a bunch in my stocking every holiday, they are perfect for a on the go quick splash of color and shine.

My look today kind of went with the grey overcast skies and rain, my tank is by Knit Riot LA and yes I wished I would have heard that Monday was cancelled and I could go home today. Layered this tank over a solid black cami since it has high side slits, love the slits they make the top feel flowy and light. My necklace is by Whiskey + Bone, check her out on instragam @Whiskeyandbone, you can now use the code WANDERLUSTBABE for 10% off your order at www.whiskeyandbone.com on Etsy

Paired my graphic tank with Silver Jeans Co grey, distressed, Suki Mid ankle skinny jeans. Love the frayed bottoms that can be folded up more for a more cropped Capri look.  My belt is a black leather grommet belt that matches my shoes which aren't in the photos. Wearing some cute Madden grommet trimmed sandals.

Close up view of my jeans by Silver Jeans Co. These are a favorite of mine, love the grey wash with distressing and some of the holes have a black patch under them. The bottoms are rolled up once with a frayed unfinished bottom. These are the Suki Mid Ankle Skinny jeans in grey. Photo was taken on my Rainbow Swirl tie dye Sand Cloud Tapestry I have on the foot of my bed as a throw. Use code CR8TIVEWANDERLUST25 for 25% off and free shipping at www.sandcloudtowels.com. 10% from each purchase is donated to protecting and saving marine life.

Back side of the jeans, for me pickets are a huge factor when purchasing jeans. With the proper placement, size and stitching the pockets can create the perfect backside. No mom jeans here, these are some of my hubby's favorites. He is always complementing me in these jeans.

Close up of the bracelets I wore today by Alex and Ani, and Sashka Co. Went with some shiny silver charm bracelets by Alex and Ani with my black beaded wrap. I have from left to right, Peace Love Music, Painted Feather, and Free Soirit charm bracelets all are not that old and from the spring/summer collections. My beaded wrap has beautiful iridescent black beads on a silver wire wrap that matched perfectly with my Sashka Company glass beaded iridescent bracelet. These amazing bracelets come in a huge variety of patterns, solids and colors. They are all handmade in Nepal by local artisans and each purchase empowers and provides sustainable work for local Nepali families. Use my code WANDERLUST25 for 25% off www.Sashkaco.com  and make sure to add the free bracelet gift from the home screen when you first enter their website, no code is required for the free bracelet promo and you get one per order.

Heading to bed was planning to go to sleep early but dosed off around 4 ended up sleeping till around 6 then made dinner, hoping I won't be up all night because the entire weekend I was lucky if if I got 3 solid hours of sleep. Have an amazing week, Peace, Love and Light always, xoxo

College football season kick off...

Yesterday we kicked off our college football season here and went to the UM game. We have season tickets this year and love all the updates the stadium have done. We have amazing seats on the aisle with perfect view of the field and large screen tv. We arrived as the gates opened to tailgate and had a great set up. We have a few people so we had 3 spaces and canopies. Was a long day but had an amazing time with friends, food, beer and football.

My graphic tee came from Dazzling T's and gifts, on etsy. Jeans are my girlfriend medium wash cropped jeans by Silver Jeans Co.

Necklace and beaded bracelets by Whiskey + Bone, love the African turquoise and black agate beaded bracelets which I mixed with some of my favorite Alex and Ani charm bracelets. Then I can't get enough of my Smokey Quartz crystal and bullet necklace. Whiskey + Bone has so many amazing creations, all handmade and unique.

I shared this one prior to the with my weekend we football post but wanted to throw it in again just in case you missed the prior post. The jeans are the same Silver jeans girlfriend medium wash I have on in above shot. Love the fit, wash and style. So comfy and fit perfect. Tee is M.E & YOU on Etsy also.

Hope everyone is having an amazing Labor Day weekend and enjoying the start of football season. My team, Florida State University play tomorrow night against Ole Miss. Can't wait and excited for a fun season of football with friend and family. Tonight we are off to the fantasy football draft at our friends house and I need some good sleep, I have been going non stop for two weeks with my birthday, my little ones birthday, their games and cheer and then football yesterday. Monday will be a day to relax maybe hit the beach. Sending love and thanks to everyone for your support always, peace love and light to all, xoxo

Over a Decade old Denim going strong

Silver Jeans Co

I have been an ambassador for Silver Jeans Co since last summer, June 2015

I have posted a lot of posts about my favorite brand of jeans, Silver Jeans Co.  Jeans are something a woman can never have to many of, there are many styles, cuts, washes, and colors to choose from.  I became an ambassador for Silver Jeans a while back, and was thrilled when I was offered this position since I have been wearing their jeans for over half my life, two decades. In some more recent posts of my favorite styles I had spoken about a pair of jeans I bought over 10-15 years ago and still own. I promised to do a post on them just to show you how amazing the quality of these jeans are. I wanted to make sure to show how these jeans have held up after over a decade of wear and tear.  Keep in mind the first pair I purchased over 10 years ago were worn almost nightly and through some mosh pits at concerts.  They have seen lots of wear and tear, somehow still looking amazing.  Every year when I clean out my closet they are examined and tried on, always making the cut.  Honestly they were my all time favorite jeans when I first got them, so much so that I went back that same weekend and got another pair.  I was worried that since they were ripped the holes would get stretched out and eventually I would need another pair but luckily they held up.  I ended up getting another pair a size down after losing some weight and then capris in the same style.

The older Silver Jeans have the stitched label.  I can tell my older styles from my more current ones by the change in labels only.  I can honestly say that the quality has not gone down like you will see sometimes with other brands.  When I was in high school I had a favorite brand that was sold at high end stores like Dillard's and Nordstrom but now are sold at Target, the quality and fit changed drastically before they ended up disappearing for a couple of years then later turning up in Target.  Silver jeans have always stayed true to their quality and the fit has gotten even better over the years.  They offer options in inseam for taller ladies and shorter gals, and plus sizes for the curvier ladies.

Above is a glance at some of my older collection of Silvers that are all over a decade or right around a decade old.  There are some Suki Surplus, Aiko capris, Tuesday low boot cuts and Tuesday capris.

You can still purchase the Tuesday low cut boot jeans in a similar style on their website, link below.  I have tried them and compared them, they still have the same amazing fit with the addition of a little stretch to hug in all the right places without losing their shape, and now they have even more selections of washes and cuts.

Close up of the waist and tag, showing the Tuesday bootcut.  I love the button off to the side and stitching is always on point with Silver Jeans.

Here you can see this pair the holes are still like new and not blown out, my original first pair I will say the holes have gotten larger but once I got a second then third pair of the same style I designated my first pair for concerts.

Side by side my first two pairs of Tuesday low boot cut jeans purchased when my oldest daughter was only 3, she will be 17 in November.

Top two pairs are the Tuesday low boot cut, then the others are a mix of cropped capri jeans in the Aiko, Suki and Tuesday styles.  Again you can see the change in the back waist band labels over the early 2000's.

They appear a little darker in the above photo, we are having a lot of rain this week so it has been hard to get some good lighting tried to take advantage of a peak of sun.

Tuesday Capri Jeans and trust me these were a score for me that summer since I loved the boot cut jeans, they had the same amazing fit but in a cropped summer look.

Close up of the tag on my Suki Surplus capris from around the same time, probably within a year to three years from when I got the first pair above.  I have been wearing Silver Jeans for over 20 years after I found the Tuesday boot cut style above is when I began my true love affair with Silver Jeans and they have only gotten better.

Visit www.silverjeans.com for all the amazing styles and make sure to stock up on some of your favorite spring and summer styles on sale now. Peace love and light always xoxo

Weekend style

Hope everyone had a lovely holiday weekend. We went to the beach super early yesterday to secure parking and a spot for our canopy. We had friends and family all staying in rooms down by the beach so we were able to spend the entire day laying out, under our canopy relaxing, swimming in the ocean, eating beach side, relaxing with family and friends then watching the amazing firerwork display put on by the city of Hollywood at Hollywood Beach, FL.

Wanted to quickly post some of my end of the week and weekend fashion posts from Instagram. I will be online tomorrow updating more posts, adding links, and changing a few things to make the blog easier to follow and find items. Have a lovely Sunday Funday.

This lovely graphic tee was sent to me by Bohocircus. You can find them on Instagram at @bohocircus and on the web either on Etsy, or they recently have launched a website at www.bohocircus.com. Very kind ladies and lots of cute and stylish bohemian inspired clothing, decor and more. You won't want to miss checking out this site. Here I am wearing the Gypsea tee. I also have their bohemian definition tank, Texas roadtrip tee (below), and then have two more tops that should arrive tomorrow. I will be sure to share. If you enjoy my daily fashion and outfit posts be sure to check out my new IG account dedicated to my daily ootd and fashion posts with some home decor, vintage and bohemain finds, bargain scores and more. @cr8tivefashionwanderlust.

Also wanted to share the other shirt sent to me by Boho Circus, this tee is the Texas Roadtrip or Welcome to Texas tee and is from their other shop which can be found on IG @Arosyoutlook. They have lots of cute Texas tees and Texas apparel items. Be sure to pass by and follow them as well as take a look at their link in their profile to the shop. I met these ladies through Etsy when ordering my first tank top, the Bohemian definition tank and was telling them about my job as a stylist along with my blog, then mentioned I would be visiting Texas. They were so kind to send me these two tees to post here and on my social media along with telling me some great spots to visit and for shopping while in Texas. As I mentioned above I have two more tops on their way, can't wait to share them,  and will be ordering some more items after vacation. This will be another upcoming blog post feature. Waiting for my new tops to arrive so I can post all my graphic tees and tanks at once. You can easily find all my graphic top collection on Instagram using the hashtag #melissastees.

Here I am wearing a awesome graphic tank by O'Neill. I found these amazing $5 cami tanks that have the racer style straps or regular thin straps at Walmart. It has a lined bust area to make wearing light weight and white tanks with thin straps possible with out showing to much.  I paired this cute tank with my eBay find, kimono with tassel detail that I got for $7 and my favorite brand jeans, Silver Jeans Co, here I am wearing the Tuesday bootcut style with a distressed look. I am very excited to announce later this week some exciting news about the Silver Jeans Co. I am going to dedicate and entire post to showing some of my many styles and fits by this amazing brand. Also I will be going over the quality and why these jeans are my favorites. I can start now by telling you that this pair I have on above I have had for over a decade. I found these jeans on sale while looking for some ripped or distressed jeans. Back then it was hard to find distressed jeans and usually had to rip or cut them myself but I did find these. The fit is amazing and quality is above most brands of denim. I loved them so much I bought several pairs in a couple sizes since my weight fluctuates often. Keep an eye out next week, as well as on all my social media accounts for more Silver Jeans styles, info, promotions and more. I don't want to leave out the lovely necklace I am wearing here, I layered my feather necklace from eBay with this gorgeous raw citrine gem stone necklace by an amazing and talented Etsy seller, I added her store to my favorite shops in the side bar, her name is Adam Rabbit and you can follow her on Instagram @Adamrabbitjewelry, you will also find the same link to her shop in her Instagram profile. Bracelets are by another favorite jewelry designer and line I love by Lacey Ryan. You can also find her on Instagram at Laceyryaninc or in my favorite shops links here on my blog on the desktop version of blogger. Her website is www.laceyryan.com and you can also find her collab with Maurices at www.maurices.com. I love Maurices and they also carry the Silver brand jeans in many styles.

Above I am wearing a tee I got off Etsy from Sweet_T's. I will be adding a link to this post and my blog in the favorite shops. Was thinking of making a section with favorite tee shirt shops that way everyone who enjoys and loves my graphic tee collection can find the shops I get them from easier. She had a sale going on so I had to grab this tank, CrazyBeautifulLife and HauteMama tee then also scooped up a regular priced Hello Weekend tee. Shirts are nice quality and super fast shipping. Be sure to read the size guides because my tank is a medium since it's boyfriend fit but my tee shirts I had to order a XL and still have a more fitted look. I don't mind I like my tees and tanks all different fits and looks. I don't mind the tighter fitted look. They are adorable and made great additions for my collection.

I paired this graphic tank with my Silver jeans capris in Santorini style. They have a slightly distressed look. Be sure to check out Silver Jeans on IG @Silverjeansco and will be adding to my favorite shops in side bar but for how the link to their website is www.silverjeans.com. Again tomorrow I will be logging on from my lap top to add clickable links, where you will see an underscored or underlined word or phrase that you can just click and will be directed right to the site or in some cases the item I am posting about. Love this feature but have been unable to do this when posting from my iPhone which I am doing now.

Kimono is from Wet Seal and was an amazing deal at $9.76 on sale after promo codes. Purchased for my daughter and borrowed it for this day. Again hate to always be on the repeat but wearing Lacey Ryan necklace, it's the wish upon a feather lariat style gold chain, with feather charm from her collab with Maurices. Also have a ton of her amazing bracelets which I wear daily because they are great for mixing, matching and stacking. Also my Lokai bracelets. Anything with good energy or vibes is right up my alley.  Be sure to check out the Lokai site also. I have the limited edition Blue (water day) and Camo (WWF) along with the Classic.

Another top by Sweet_T's on Etsy. This tee was not part of her sale but loved the color and gold graphic, plus who can resist a Hello Weekend tee?! Love the weekend. Almost got the hello summer tee but summer is well under way and scary to say getting close to the half way point. Makes me sad I want the summer to last six months. Love having my girls home and getting to spend quality time together. Here I paired this lovely graphic top with a crochet maxi skirt from Forever 21. It has a crochet detailed waist band with crochet inserts down the skirt, it is lightly lined on top half and has a zipper back. Love this bohemian style skirt and added my pineapple gold charm necklace from last season, Old Navy. Love my pineapples for summer.

Above a photo of just some of the many different styles and looks of jeans, skirts, capris and shorts I have by Silver jeans Co. Again I have a post dedicated to the brand coming up this week, I have taken out all my jeans by them, and also other items like tanks, tees, jacket and vests. I am just waiting on my new boyfriend jeans to arrive then I will have the post up. Also working on some photos of different angles of the styles on, that way you can see how amazing they fit, even us ladies with some curves that are not super tiny, they really fit all types well. I find these to be amazing quality and the fit is great. Being almost 40 I think they are fabulous, they still have the stylish looks but can be worn be women of all ages and don't look like we are trying to dress like a teen still. Love that. Also love how they compliment and accentuate my curves. For sure no mom jeans here. But don't feel like I am trying to dress like my 16 year old either even though she does borrow a lot of my clothing lol.

Above I have the Francy Skirt, Suki shorts, Tuesday bootcut and capris then the Santorini capris also. You will see many styles, cuts, lengths, waist fits from high, mid and low cut, along with leg cut, I have boot, straight leg, skinny and capri lengths also. Just can't say enough about these jeans and how they fit. If you know me you know about Silver Jeans because I live in their brand and am always asked what brand I am wearing. That's another reason why my news is so exciting. I don't think I can make it to the post later this week but I am trying my best. I have already leaked the news on my IG.

Here I was putting together a outfit flatlay for ideas or inspiration for July 4th. We spent the day on the beach and I wore my new Triangl Brigette in the denim shades of blue with this skirt and the poncho for lounging beach side, or walking the board walk. I did end up changing into shorts but only because my skirt had gotten wet.

I went with my Target muscle tank with red white and blue graphic. Also had a eagle graphic which I love. What represents America and the feeling of being free and freedom better than a Eagle. Paired it with the Francy mini skirt by Silver Jeans Co, and my American flag poncho my mom got me from Cracker Barrel. I have gotten a lot of wear out of this and can't tell you how many people stopped me yesterday and Memorial Day weekend to ask where I found this. It is a hit for sure. The accessories are a head band I ordered last year before Memorial Day weekend from a shop I found on Etsy called Itsy Bitsy bands, necklace is just a red, white and blue beaded necklace I got over the years at one of the many celebrations for our country. Then have this cute wrap that can be worn as a necklace or bracelet from Old Navy last spring. Hope everyone enjoyed their July 4th, I know we had one of the best in years. ✌️❤️🇺🇸

My epic weekend tank paired with my JCrew boyfriend jeans. Just ordered a new pair because my other pairs are too big. I can still wear them since boyfriend jeans look cute baggy but wanted a pair that had a more fitted look. These are amazing and I get so many people asking me about these jeans also on my social media. They have been on clearance for some time on the JCrew website and when I ordered these they had sizes 27,28 and 31 but after I ordered my pair of 27's and a pair of 28 I noticed all that was left was 27 and 30. These are the 27 and fit me perfect, the 28 is just slightly loose in the waist, I also have a 29 which is large I have to wear a belt or they fall down and can pull them down without I buttoning them but they are still worn often because they are so comfy. Every time I ordered they were on sale or clearance so haven't paid over $60 for a pair. Can't wait to try the Silver Jeans Boyfriend fit, basically the only style I haven't tried or own, and love the boyfriend fit.  The distressed look is amazing, just be careful putting them on, these are made of a lighter weight denim and the holes will rip easily. I always make sure to sit when putting them on so I don't put my foot through one of the holes, distressed and ripped jeans are my favorite and have been since I was a teen so I have mastered the many ways of taking care of them so they last long. I also wash them separately on cold, gentle cycle and hang to dry. Again jewels are by Lacey Ryan😘

My outfit from the beach last night after laying out all day, I showered off and changed for the firework show. The fireworks display was amazing that the city of Hollywood put on off Hollywood beach. We had amazing seats on the beach just north of the barge they launch them from out in the ocean. It was by far the best seats and show we have been to in many years. I am wearing my tank from target from above and all same items only change was I had worn my Silver jeans skirt on all day on the beach with the poncho and it was wet, I ended up wearing these Vigoss jean shorts I wore for memorial day with the red, white and blue blinged out pockets.

Last of all, everyone knows the saying, A Sunday well spent means a week of content. Always love to spend my sunday with my girls and family relaxing or just spending some quality time together. Today I am wearing my Sunday Funday tee I scooped up off eBay for under $15, love the v neck cut and it's very soft. Paired it with a tie dye blackish/gray and white maxi skirt from Forever 21 with a elastic waist and draw string to tighten with tassel detail, it also has a lovely crochet inlay down the skirt and at the bottom. Love this skirt. Has the crinkled look and is very bohemian, gypsy vibin. We know how much I love that style or look. Just so me. Unfortanletly for Instagram the lovely necklace was cropped out. It's also from forever 21 and looks like a large bangle with open front that you wear around your neck, on one side is a star charm and the other side a chain with a crescent moon. Bracelets are, hmmm I wonder lol, Lacey Ryan and Lokai. Again I can not say enough times how much I love the Lacey Ryan collection. I also really love how she did the line with Maurices which makes it easier and more affordable for everyone to own some of her designs. Her site the pieces are a little higher priced, but the quality and materials are higher end, but the maurices line is super affordable and they are just as gorgeous. She really is an amazing designer, also a very kind and inspiring woman.

Happy weekend again, I will be working tomorrow on updating links and proofing more old posts, then I will be adding my Silver Jeans post also this upcoming week and we leave for our two week summer vacation. I will be blogging here and there when I have some down time on the trip. Also will have many photos on my photography and personal account. I also will be sure to post some photos on my fashion account and here of New Orleans and Texas. We are all so excited. We pick up our rental car on Wednesday night and leave early Thursday am. This week will be packing and preparing along with laundry and cleaning. I always like to leave my house spotless so when we return I feel welcomed and happy to be home.

Have a great end of the weekend and fabulous Monday. ✌️❤️ XOXO
