Summer beach bright table setting/decor

Heading to the beach for a fun relaxing family day. Wanted to quickly post photos of what I have started in my dining room, kitchen and entry way. I have been loving bright colors and slowly am getting the browns out, adding a lot of bright pink, coral, turquoise, orange, yellow and lime green colors.

Sorry for so many pics lol, wait till I am done outside and inside with everything will be a ton of photos
I went with a bright beach look for dining room, with umbrellas, beach balls, flip flops and other beach related fun stuff. My kitchen is lemon, lime and oranges, then entry way is more bright colors and beach decor. I think I am going to do the guest bath in surf beach decor and my bedroom is turquoise with pink accents. I plan to sew some pillow covers in bright colors to cover existing pillows so I don't have to waste money on new pillows and I have a ton of pillows.

Animal print, brown out bright colors, beach feeling in:). Enjoy photos and I just started so things will change. Only new stuff I got was kitchen towels and a candle holder with shells in white for dining table from TJ Maxx. I love it makes me smile and feel happy. Color does that. Try it you will feel amazing I promise lol.

Decorating for summer

I have always decorated for every holiday and summer is usually July fourth, but this year I am loving the bright summer colors, felt inspired. Today I took out what I have already then made a trip to Nordstrom's and Homegoods. I got some amazing rugs one large one for my teens room, which matches the new bedding I grabbed her at Nordstroms. I also got two smaller rugs that match but for my kitchen and the sliding door in dining room going to pool.

I still need to get a table runner, or placemats, centerpiece for dining table, a few super bright kitchen towels, and now thinking about doing the guest bathroom in a cute summer beach flip flop theme. I absolutely love the turquoise, bright pink, like green, orange and yellow. These colors make me feel happy. I have been slowly changing up every room in my home and trying to get away from neutral and brown. We are shopping for a large custom sectional, we have a large living room that is narrow but long, we need a selectional to get the most seating out of space. Having two kids and a cat we love leather, also being in hot south Florida it stays cool. I originally wanted a dark brown but now I am open to a lighter brown and nailhead trim is a must lol.

I saw two orange table runners today at Homegoods, one was a chevron pattern the other was a Moroccan trellis look. I am mad now I passed them up because we all know how HomeGoods is, buy it when you see it because it will be gone fast. I went back today to get bright sheets for my daughter's bed, this is hard to find because she has a queen bed with a super deep pillow top mattress, usually the bright fun colors only come in twin or full but yesterday saw purple, pink and lime green by Ralph Lauren. I have a lot of set of Ralph Lauren, I use to buy only that brand for awhile because I loved the soft sateen cotton. When I went back today all they had was green. Went to Marshall's though and grabbed hot pink now I have to go back to my store to scoop up some hot pink king size pillowcases.

Below are some photos of my front door, new rugs, teens new duvet and shams, (pillows are old) then some items I took out of storage bins along with a few new ones. Have some shell napkin rings that I plan on attaching the flip flop wooden pieces from craft store to so I can make cool summer napkin rings. Will post more photos sometime in the next couple weeks:). Super super busy couple weeks ahead of us, hope to have the reveal of our master bedroom which is almost done, just waiting on the amazing Z Galleries bed hubby got me:). It is coming next Wednesday! Yay! I will be busy hanging stuff and organizing to take a ton of photos. Also think I will have a update on guest bath, kitchen and then dining table. Stay posted

Julep Maven May It Girl Box review

May Julep Maven it girl box arrived today:). Was bummed I didn't look at the choices this month and then when it was sent saw some had lipsticks:(. But my box had some cute bobby pins with flowers that I love. I wear a lot of these bobby pins and just recently bought some cute ones at Kohls by LC. These will be worn soon for sure!

This month my box had three polishes like always. I love the colors, thought we would be getting brighter shades with summer coming but we did get some bright colors last month. Quickly I used the blue/purple from the April It girl box and was disappointed in the formula, the color is Eden. It was thick, messy and took forever to dry between coats, when I applied second coat it actually wasn't dry and was so thick the polish smudged and got all messed up:(. I do like the color but won't use again do to formula mess.

I am not sure if they changed the brush too but it feels much wider and thicker to me. I have skinny narrow fingers and my nails are small, makes it hard to not make a mess and get edges without making a huge mess with this thick brush. I noticed this issue still even when the formula is thinner. I am still on the fence about this subscription box, actually looking into some other ones to try over the summer to possibly replace this one. It is great sometimes but when it is bad it is really bad lol:(.

Now let's open my May box, as I mentioned above first thing I saw when I opened my box was the set of four, two different colors, bobby pins with cute flowers. Love these and like I said above, will be using this a lot in sure:). Next up was the cute packaging and then I opened up my wrapped bag to see my pretty colors. I peaked before they arrived so I knew what I was getting but was impressed with the glitter holographic Julep Paris. I usually don't paint my nails the same day but I have been giving my nails a bit of a break for the passed month. Seems the constant removing and painting was drying out my nails. I need to go to the salon and get a pedicure next week so plan to get a manicure also to clean up my cuticles, I have been baking a lot and working with design projects so my hands are a mess.

The first polish, Julep Paris I used below in photos as an accent photo. I can not capture the beauty of this holographic glitter. It looks amazing with gold, silver and rainbow iridescent sparkle, love, love, love this polish, one of my favorite shades now by Julep. Next up I went with Cara which is a pink, nude shade I love. Looks a little different in photos I think maybe cause of my super tan I have. We went out of town for ten days and then been hitting the beach every weekend, I am super tan. The last color I didn't use this time but I always love a dark, deep red. It's called Coco and it is a vampy red:).

Enjoy the photos below and tomorrow will add a couple more in the sun. Excuse some pictures I didn't clean up cuticles or polish I got on sides in some photos then I wasn't planning on polishing and ended up starting another project right after, so nails got messed up on a couple. Wanted yo post review and the swatches early though since I usually don't try colors right away.

Would love to hear about your box or what you think of colors:). Happy Friday and have a great weekend all. Xoxo

More Michael Kors and designer brand finds at TJ Maxx

I have been making my visits to TJ Maxx but haven't been taking pictures or blogging about my finds because things have been hectic. I had pneumonia for a couple weeks and the first week was miserable. I luckily caught it very early on and was lucky to not have to be hospitalized. I have since been feeling great passed couple weeks.

I finally am almost done with my master bedroom. Can't wait to reveal the photos of our new room. I will have my amazing new Z Galleries bed next week on Wednesday. It has been a long wait but I am super excited and can not wait for it to arrive.

Today I passed by one of my favorite stores, TJ Maxx:). I found lots of amazing items. I actually picked up a pair of sunglasses. Living in south Florida I can never have enough sunglasses, I have lots of different brands from Coach, Prada, Michael Kors, Ray Ban and Versace, one I my favorite brands for sunglasses is prada and Versace. I think they are made amazing and out of all the ones I have owned are some of the oldest Laura that are undamaged. When buying sunglasses if the lense is plastic they get scratched easy, my Prada and Versace glasses have never gotten scratched or broken. I found two designer pairs at TJ Maxx today, one Coach pair and then the Versace pair I purchased:). I got two pairs of Marc Jacobs glasses from EBay and Groupon back at the end of this passed year, but have to say they were not the best made glasses, after five or six months one pair is stretched out and the other the lense is scratched up. I have a pair of Versace glasses I bought for 380 four years ago that are like brand new. Both pairs of sunglasses were $59.99 compared to $180 and 240.

I also walked thru the purses, wallets and belts, they had a great selection of one of my favorite purse designers, Michael Kors. I love Michael Kors handbags, the quality, durability, pricing, style and more are all excellent. I have my first Michael Kors purse, the Astor, that I got 4 years ago almost 5 years ago in August. It is in excellent condition still, if anything it got better with time. I used this bag as my everyday bag since it was large, black and stylish. I have since gotten up to owning eight more purses, six wallets, two clutches and some other accessories like jewelry, shoes and belts. Currently I am saving up for a new Tory Burch purse. I have fallen in love with all things Tory Burch and plan to get a purse, matching wallet and some sandals. I currently own a couple Tory Burch necklaces, earrings, cuffs and some sandals, love, love love them:).

The purses I found today ranged from $129-219.99. I love the black with gold MK logo and black leather tassel, this one was most expensive and most were $199.99. I considered getting the Hamilton beach bag with orange handles but have the Orange/tangerine Hamilton. I saw this same purse last week with tan or brown handles and loved it:). Also love the larger bag which they had with white, tan, brown and orange trim/handles. I really don't need another Michael Kors purse lol, right now, but almost can't resist these amazing prices. I am holding out for a black, turquoise or pink Hamilton with silver lock, then would love a navy and white jet set tote.

I also saw three Michael Kors wallets, one was a bright orange, not same as the tangerine, also a peach/pink wallet that matches the purse I photographed, and then a black wallet with gold hardware. I didn't take a good photo because I had my iPhone and not my camera so it ended up looking blurry:(. Sorry. The wallets were $79.99. I also snapped a photo of a super cute clutch, with studs, cool brass knuckle inspired handle with skulls and then a chain you can tuck inside or use for carrying over the shoulder. Super cute. This was $24.99 I think:).

Hope you enjoy the photos. I apologize for the rushed and quick post but the weather is getting bad, wanted to post this before I forgot and using my phone. I usually post my blog entries from my phone because I love to update my blog, post new finds, products and more but have little time. I am excited to say I have been working on a new layout for my blog and will have a lot of new photos of my home, fashion and more coming in the next coming months. I start school in June which I am super excited about but made a pack with hubby I would finish updating the house and other projects I started before I start. I also am finishing up with learning new camera, and editing. I have a lot of photos to post that I haven't been able to before now. I also plan to start posting daily fashion photos, finds, interior design, hair color, makeup and more fun photos and posts:). I love fashion, finishing beauty school so will have a lot of photos of hair and makeup plus lots more. Also announcing some amazing giveaways over the summer. Super excited to host some amazing giveaways. Stay tuned and enjoy the photos below of the items I found at TJ Maxx today. Good luck bargain hunting:).
