 Walmart has some of the cutest most stylish modern and bohemian decor. I always love Walmart it is my first stop every time I need decor whether for a small refresh or a full makeover to search for the perfect fits for my spaces. Their prices are always the best and the quality is always so good. Sometimes I honestly am amazed at the decor, an example quickly for two years I wanted a rattan egg chair I had seen many priced from $400-800 but couldn’t justify spending that much money on one chair then had planned to use it on my outdoor patio, then last spring early summer I saw my Walmart had the exact same chair and under $300. It was amazing quality, easy to assemble, fit in my smaller crossover suv no issues, but h would have taken it out of the box or strapped to the roof cause I had always dreamed of one. Now it sits in my living room and before the chair my living room had the bold global boho vibes but the egg chair from Walmart added perfect corner reading nook with all the cute rattan boho vibes I had wanted forever.

 I still hope to add one to my outdoor patio but for now it will remain in the living room. I also was shocked when I found these striped woven textured boho outdoor pillows and the matching poufs. I also got a couple two packs of textured solid navy blue pillows and I have a couple white solid pillows with polka dot texture then tassel derails for when we get the outdoor patio set up fully next week. 

Walmart just always comes through for me and during Covid their online curbside delivery was a life saver for me..  I have a auto immune disorder so my hubby did most of the going out and shopping but during the summer he works the most due to storm season here and he wouldn’t be able to always restock the things you always need, or not to mention items you forget off the list cause we all do that often. I didn’t want to expose myself or my girls to large crowds so their online option was great then now that I’m working again and it’s been years since I worked a job that wasn’t a business I ran or a schedule I got to make myself so it has been hard to take the time to shop for groceries or everyday stuff when I do have days off I want to be with my girls. Walmart makes it so easy I can place my order online and it’s ready within a couple of hours to pick up in a few minutes. I do however have to be honest I love the ease of online shopping but I’m a girl who loves to go to Walmart to walk up and down each aisle in home decor, shoes and clothing. I find stuff I never would have seen had I not taken the time to truly browse each aisle looking at the new collections, product lines, brands and more that they have in store.

My fave aisles are always pillows, crafts, bedding and bath, then of course clothing, shoes and accessories. I love how the store sets ups the end caps with fun seasonal items like those heavy fake towels I shared awhile back on LTK with monopoly, Clue and Twister to name a few. Or the fun rattan serving pieces I own for outdoor and indoor entertaining. I just have the best time finding new deals and items for our family or home. 

These tables are so cute love the wood and then the brass gold with glass two great options one for a side table the other a center coffee table. They have many other choices also I will adding to my LTK profile. I will also be making multiple mood boards for different rooms in your home.

Everyone thinks the pillows I share are expensive high end designer stores or brands, when I send them the link they always message me back amazed it’s from Walmart then thank me cause the prices are always $5-$15. That for sure makes it easier to have a bed or sofa full of pillows because when they are $30-80 each or even higher sometimes one or two doesn’t fill up much space lol. I have a pillow addiction I actually confess I gave an entire closet filled with pillows or covers and inserts for pillows lol.

My fave color is blue and this bold bright teal is perfect for summer time or year round. 

I have multiple 2 packs of these pillows between aqua, navy, yellow and black they add a great back drop or in between for your furniture and then a textured pillow. I have the navy with the striped cream and navy outdoors then I have navy and teal for my living room indoors with a printed pillow to break up the colors. 

 Here are some of my faves below, OMG can you even believe this gold and glass shelf is under $150? It comes in black and gold tone, I have seen the same design & shape for well over $3500-1200. What a great deal ladies. Love to style shelving too    whether adding books, family photos or trinkets or chatchkies (spelling not sure lol, but I know you all know what I mean)

Thank this sofa is so beautiful and I have always wanted a white or cream sofa. It also comes in other colors like blush.

If we didn’t have a fully done living room I would so repurchase the sofa and a wood white chair I shared below, with the table it is all so my style.

Then who doesn’t love a pop of color or velvet material chairs. Totally boho vibes but with a modern edge also. 

Lighting is also a great at way to add character and brighten a space. I will share more styles but these are a couple I love.

Patriotic decor deals

With summer here we have already had Memorial Day pass but we do still have July 4 and Labor Day ahead. Who doesn’t love to celebrate our amazing country and freedom. I love all the red white and blue decor so I wanted to put together a post sharing some of my favorite affordable Americana patriotic decor for the summer. From Pillows, wreaths, rugs, signs, plates, napkins and so much more.

I found these amazing Pioneer woman towels for the kitchen with red white and blue floral and solids if you want to express your red white and blue love without getting to over the top using flag decor only. There are so many options to bring the patriotic pride into your decor without using just flags or Stars and Stripes. I also love to share the flag and stars stripes decor so made sure to share some of my faves I mix in as well. I have both the floral and solid red white blue decor then the mix of fun flag and patriotic decor that all mixes together. Over the years I have accumulated a lot of great pieces and grown a great collection.

Whenever I’m looking for something fun or specific I hit Walmart first to check out their amazing deals, options and more. I will also have a post coming up later this week to share my outdoor patio and decor with lots of fun pieces we got from Walmart then also some of my fashion, beach must haves and beauty are all also from Walmart. I just love to save money and at the same time enjoy the huge selection of quality items. I truly just love how much I can save and all the different options I shop can shop for in one trip, then when Covid first started I did a lot of online ordering or curbside pickup.

I’m so excited to share my back and front patio as well as my indoor tablescape and decor for the July 4 holiday. I also have my regular summer decor which this year I did lemons and bees with pops of yellow and my fave color blue. It was fun to add the blue this year and I’m thrilled to share. Laundry room refresh

 Hey guys sorry been MIA started a new job and been so hectic then dieting, working out, and of course working on decor for my home. I did a smaller refresh on my laundry room and have some pictures I wanted to share quickly. I just added fresh paint to the shelf, crown molding to the wall with the peel and stick tiles I added almost two years ago, bulked up the old wooden shelf, removed the pipes and reinforced with wood under to keep the shelf more sturdy. I did a touch up of white paint from walls getting banged up from the vacuum or mop being stored in here also I added a vinyl mat for the floor from Vmat Home. It makes it appear as if we have penny tile flooring when we have builder grade generic gray tiles.

 Since turning 38 and now being over 40 losing weight, dieting and exercise is no longer what it use to be. I started to realize that a healthier lifestyle was more for me about my energy levels, sleeping and how I feel day to day versus being thin or my appearance. Sure I want to look good and honestly for having 2 children, being almost 44, having an auto immune disorder and thyroid issues I think I look great, but I was feeling fatigued. After Covid and being home cooking every day and having dessert cook offs with my girls I won’t lie I had lost close to 40 lbs before spring break 2020 but by winter 2020 most of it had been gained back. 

I decided long ago my diet needed to change I would eat out often especially now that my girls are older and with a husband who works a lot, it was just easier. Then recently I went back to work for fun, and to get more activity going on since my business and design work had stalled some due to Covid, I can say I get way more exercise now then I have in years. My steps from 3-4 shifts at work is like a 4 day trip at Disney lol. I’m not complaining just in 3-4 weeks of starting my job I was down a Jean size and lost close to 12 lbs. 

For me meal preparing isn’t easy, I don’t have the time or patience. I came across this amazing meal deliver company called Eat to Evolve. They have chef prepared meals for keto, paleo and other diet trends as well as the grab and go meals I love for lunches or snacks. I don’t follow an exact diet I’m not one to starve myself or limit myself to what I can eat. I also have to be able to eat foods that I enjoy I’m a foodie, we love to eat out at nice restaurants and enjoy fine meals with appetizers, salad, soup, entrees and maybe even a splurge on dessert. As I have gotten older my tolerance for lactose, dairy and gluten has gotten worse so I try not to indulge often cause it will lead to me feeling worse. 

Quickly to share with you guys my link for the meal service before I get to into my personal diet plan that works good for myself. My workout and what I do from home cause I’m not a huge gym girl. I do love kick boxing, barre and some yoga but I have issues with the gym, it isn’t my spot and I am not great at the different machines but I do love gaining muscle and toning my body. I like curves and embrace my curves over being a tiny little lady with no curves so I wanted to find a way to workout and diet but not lose my shape I have grown to love.

I tried the trail mix and a cookie then my husband tried the grab and go egg salad which he said was really good. 

Now for my dieting I am watching portion and size, cutting back bread and carbs, then I drink Coca Cola so I cut back to 2 smaller cans a day increasing my water intake to 6-8 water bottles a day. I didn’t drink much water prior was maybe drinking 2 bottles and then cans of soda who knows I didn’t count lol. I grew up with a dad who loved his soda and I don’t drink coffee so it’s my caffeine. Everyone has their Vice. 

I do intermittent fasting Monday - Friday I want from 11-6 and between 6-11 I drink only water no food. I did those times cause of my youngest and her school schedule. I’m bad when I work which is a lot of nights I will have a larger lunch when I break my fast then a snack before work, I usually won’t eat at work but I work Friday Saturday nights and weekends my fasting is either 10-5 or I tend to splurge or cheat on Sunday meaning I will have breakfast around 10 and then lunch also I will have some bread or maybe an extra soda. I don’t want to totally be hard on myself. The goal isn’t to be super thin but to be healthy and feel good. 

For my workouts, I get a lot of exercise at work. It is the most exhausting job ever serving and I don’t stop from the moment I walk into the doors to the moment I leave. If I sit it’s for a second. I am working 2-4 shifts a week from 2-10/10:30 or 3-4 to midnight or later. It is great for my energy I was chaustes before I started and my first week but now I sleep better then I see I have more energy. Also my drive is up and I just feel great. It’s motivated me to get my business back up and going as well as reaching other goals I have had. I work out Monday through Friday at home, I have resistance bands and booty bands that I use along with other items from home that I do workouts that are specifically for women and our bodies to work on the arms, chest, back, legs, booty and abs.  I started these workouts specifically 2 weeks ago almost and I can’t wait to share my before after during pics. I took pics 2 weeks ago and had only begun to see weight loss on my clothing not the scale. Now I’m seeing it in how my cloth f fits and on the scale. I can see how my body is transforming thanks to those photos and this is why I want to share. 

Back when I had my second daughter I struggled to lose the weight I gained during my second pregnancy. I took before pics and started to get serious the fall after she turned 2 I was depressed and so tired all the time. I had always been a size 0-2 maybe a 4 at my largest now I can say I have reached a size 14-16 at my largest but when I was having health issues that made it almost impossible to not gain weight. I had to give myself some grace because finding the issues of the health stuff and getting my body healthy came first but of course that had a mental toll. People telling me omg you use to look so good. What happened? I felt bad deep down and never have I ever been one to be up right about my body. One good thing that came out of the second pregnancy weight loss struggles and the weight gain in my mid thirties was seeing the amazing curves I never knew I had cause I was always so skinny and kind of had a plain shape. I was always larger busted but I had some amazing curves I loved and grew to embrace. 

The new workouts are so fun and I have to admit they hurt I was sore for 2 days after my recent booty and leg workout but I love to be sore cause I know it’s working. I’m excited to share and I’m excited for trying Evolve. The meals are all chef made, fresh never frozen. I will share photos on my IG all week starting tomorrow then my reviews here next week this time of my fave meals and what I like most. I hope you will all come back to check cause if like me you want to eat healthier but don’t have the time to prepare meals every week or say this is amazing. Also the cost isn’t bad I spent 118 with delivery for 5-6 entrees lots of the grab and go lunch or snack meals, then some cookies and the trail mix, I would have spent way more getting the chicken, meats, veggies, fruit etc in the store. Plus it’s all made and ready to go, I can’t wait to try more and share with you guys. The price is so good and the meals all sound so good not to mention they look yummy.

I’m not a dietician nutritionist etc but I have worked with one before and I love to help any way I can to helping others feel great. Turning 40 use to be something I dreaded but honestly I feel great and for almost 44 have people always shocked thinking I’m closer to 28-30 then 40 or above. Again for me it isn’t about how I look as much as it is how I feel. Quality of life is so important as we age and energy is huge for me.

Privacy wall DIY

 For months we have been planning to build a diy privacy wall on the covered side of our patio and then we hope to do the same on the pergola side. Wanted to share some of the photos during and after then some photos of the pergola by Pergola Depot with our Edison string lights from Lamp Lust. 

We used two sold posts used for fences and framing the quick set concrete. Once that was all dried and set I laid out the pattern, using 1x2, 1x4 and 1x8 weather treated pine wood from Home Depot.
