Fall Front Porch Decor

Hey friends, guess what? It’s fall y’all.. I know cheesy but I couldn’t help myself especially since I love to use y’all all the time. I wanted to hop on in case you don’t follow me over on my IG account to share some of current fall decor I have been sharing.

I’m super excited to be able to collaborate with Old Time Pottery for Fall and Halloween. I hit the store and we found so many amazing wreaths, decor accents, signs, pillows, and then don’t even get me started on Halloween decor. I’m excited to start putting up the Halloween decor next week before the end of the week or over the weekend. It’s been years since I got new decor for Halloween so this year thanks to Old Time Pottery I was inspired to redo my front porch and house with new pieces.

Let me show you my fall front porch all thanks to the amazing Old Time Pottery. I wanted to add real pumpkins, mums and maybe some corn husks but it’s so hot, rainy and humid here in Florida still. This week was in the 90’s all week. But the evenings are cooling down some so hopefully after I start my Halloween decor out front I can add some purple or orange mums then a few real pumpkins as we get  closer to Halloween.

I always love to o add new pillows for each season to the front porch rocking chairs. Old times Pottery has an amazing selection of pillows for every theme, style and season or holiday.  I also found this amazing galvanized metal pumpkin lantern that has 3 battery operated candles perfect for the small table between the chairs. I’m going to be painting my front planter and then moving a lot of the potted plants to the back yard deck area.

I found this cute easel style fall sign to add to our porch that I  adore.

The welcome scarecrow on the hay is also from Old Time Pottery, then a couple faux pumpkins add the touch I was wanting with real ones but don’t have to worry about rotting from the heat and attracting bugs until it cools down.

I love the wreath we picked out, I think the colors are great for fall and Halloween, then I have a cute idea to add a few small things I found to the wreath to make it go perfectly with my Halloween decor.

Love to layer mats and this plaid mat is perfect, just when it rains I remove the bottom mat so it doesn’t get soaked and leave the core style mat only.

I hope y’all love the pieces I picked up from Old Time Pottery, seriously they have the largest selection of decor. You will find some great pieces for whatever your decor style or colors are for this season.

Close up of my metal pumpkin candle lantern and reversible fall pillow that had plaid on the back then this design on the front. Be sure to stop back by here this time next week or over next weekend to see my start of my Halloween decor. All my Halloween front porch decor is from Old Time Pottery then planning to stop by and pick up a few more pieces to add.. Have a great Friday and weekend. Peace, love and light always xoxo

Stone Cottage Home Bedding

Hey there everyone. I will have more fall decor photos to share later this weekend. I wanted to hope over here and share my recent refresh to our master bedroom. I collaborated with the amazing Stone Cottage Home to update our duvet cover and sheets for fall. I picked out their botanical print sheet set and striped duvet cover set.

I love blue it’s my favorite color so this striped duvet set added the perfect pop of blue color with dark and light gray stripes on a white backdrop. Adding some simple navy pillows and white textured pillows along with 2 sets of euro shams, the larger white ones are a quilted simple sham then a knit darker gray for fall and winter.

I love how much changing the bedding can totally refresh the room and make it feel brighter. I love how cozy and welcoming the space is. Also I think if you have followed me for some time now you know I love pillows and layering the bedding. I took the top sheet off for fall and winter adding simple inexpensive plush thin blankets in gray and blue tones for extra warmth when the temps finally cool down. A funny little note I keep our home thermostat on 70.  My entire family is always saying how cold it is but I’m always warm. I also love a colder room at night to cuddle up and get cozy for bed. I seem to sleep better in a cooler space with lots of layers. What do you like your home temperature set at? Are you a warm person? I think for me it’s my early menopause lol. Okay I know I’m not there yet but getting closer lol.

I also love hanging plants I had this duo dyed cream today gray macrame plant hanger in my laundry room over a year or so and decided to move it next to the window. I truly wanted the eclectic and boho touches here in the bedroom. I also have a faux cattle skull and some feather decor on the TV wall. Subtle and simple decor just to add more of my personal character to our room.

The pop of blue is simple and subtle but adds the perfect vibes to the space. Blue is my fave color so it makes me smile. I could add a rug with blue pops but I like to change out my bedding regularly and have a few sets I love that I change back and forth between.

Here you can see the lovely botanical soft print in a light gray and white. This is also by Stone Cotdage and king size fitted and flat sheets with 2 king pillow cases

I love the oversized fitted sheet sometimes finding a good fit sheet isn’t easy. These sheets are super soft and I truly enjoy the print mixed with the striped duvet cover. Also they are so neutral they will mix well with solid and other printed duvet covers I alternate between throughout the seasons.

I love adding texture, here I used a rattan feather palm look piece I found online, with a basket from Homegoods and some floral rattan pieces from Hobby Lobby. This just adds to my bohemian, eclectic gypsy vibes I love.

I love eclectic finds, the hanging lantern is a candle holder I found back 8-10 years ago at Homegoods. I have 6 of them in different shapes, sizes and colors all throughout the home. I love Moroccan and Turkish designs these truly add a great touch to many space.

As you can see I have the back white quilted euro shams mixed with a darker gray knit euro sham, both from Target then added the matching king shams. The navy pillows are inexpensive Walmart velvet textured pillows that come in a 2 pack and then a fun boho textured chenille lumbar pillow with fun Pom Pom style tassels by Willow and Beech.

The custom made sign over our master bed, is a solid wood sign with a light gray wooden frame. The lyrics are from my fave Fleetwood Mac sign and I wanted something that had personal meaning but wasn’t a phrase you see over some many other beds. Something personal to us as a couple. I love picking out and having custom made pieces so they are unique to my home and style to add personal character to our home.

The Wingback bed, champagne night stands and dresser then the feather candle scones are all by Z Galleries. Mirrors that are above both night tables are from Kirkland’s. Lamps, larger wall mirror which I had leaning but hung so that it wouldn’t fall over are from Homegoods. I hope you enjoyed the refresh of my master bedroom. You can see my master bedroom on my Instagram page and then also on PotteryBarn.com under McKenna paisley duvet. It was such a honor to have them feature my bedding and set up several times on their website.

Have an amazing weekend and sending lots of peace, love and light always. ✌πŸΌπŸ’™✨

Christmas Tree Shops

For summer time I wanted to pick up some fun garden decor for our new backyard patio and garden area. We also did a lot of changes to our landscaping in the front of our home changing out mulch for rock, moving the builder added plants, hedges and flowers to eliminate some landscaping then adding sod. We also fenced in the yard and extended our patio. I decided to visit Christmas Tree Shops to see what seasonal summer pieces they had. I had never been to one of their stores because we didn’t have a location where we lived before but I was so excited when I saw we had a location not far from our new town.

We were amazed when we arrived and walked in, they gave literally everything. Any area of your home or time of year that you are looking for decor to refresh your home or just add a little something new, they have it. From bedding, bathroom, dining, kitchen, outdoor decor and omg the seasonal holiday decor is the best. We were excited to start our hunt for the perfect pieces to spruce up the landscaping, garden and patio.

We decided to go with fun garden stakes, solar and glow in the dark stakes that can be easily added to any garden bed or even planters/pots. I love these led solar spinners, the colors are so bright and all our neighbors had to stop to take a look day and night because they are eye catching for sure. Here are a few of my fave pieces and I have more to share once our backyard is finished. We have had a lot of bad rain or storms in Florida that have caused a few delays but I love how much color and character the pieces we picked out at Christmas Tree shops on our treasure hunt have added to our front yard. Curb appeal is for sure higher then ever..

I have a lot more to share with y’all but wanted to give a little peek of some of my favorites. Be sure to head over to my Instagram and check out my post as well as my saved stories in highlights on my profile that show inside the store as well as my haul. Hope everyone is having a great few last weeks of summer. We are trying to take in all the time we have before school starts and the holidays hustle starts. Stay healthy and safe, peace, love and light always xoxo

Budget refresh’s & Fall decor 20

Entryway after we refreshed it some. Added some brown leather accents for fall.

Formal Dining room during the refresh

Board and batten is a easy inexpensive diy to add character to your home. We had the wood and paint so was a free project for us. Love it

I made this beaded garland using beads I have for other garlands I have made for different seasonal decor and then added this macrame leaf or feather that came with my macrame piece I ordered back in April or early May that arrived in July due to Covid delays from Russia.

Excited with it being my birthday month and with the end of the month leading us into fall. I’m happy my girls are both doing virtual and online classes for the fall semester. I have to say one amazing thing has come from the pandemic and that is quality family time. Being a stay at mom and having both my girls home has been a true blessing. Of course I wish the circumstances were different and of course that Covid wasn’t the reason behind us getting that quality time, but this mama truly has loved every moment I have gotten to spend with them since March. We have made some amazing memories and gotten so much needed quality time. With my oldest being a junior in college my heart has been heavy missing her and counting down the days to her graduation from college. I couldn’t be prouder of her but what mama doesn’t miss her child when they are away from home, even if her baby is almost 21.

Now on to my reason for writing this post. Normally with instagram collaborations and projects I start my decor for every season so early. Lately I have turned down a lot of different opportunities to spend more time with my girls, but also so I could get some projects I have had on our to do list crossed off. I’m excited to say that my list went from very long to only a few last minute things like touch up paint, painting the inside of the interior doors because I painted the exterior of most of them leaving the inside of the doors that you can’t see really white. This week I plan to finish that out and then we have some trim work to finish up, craftsman style molding around our pass ways into the kitchen dining space and then a few smaller things like finishing my oldest daughter’s bedroom refresh then little organizing things. We have done a lot this summer from landscaping, changing out mulch for rocks, adding landscape lighting, installing a vinyl privacy fence, adding on a concrete slab extension to our patio and a few more fun outdoor projects I can’t wait to share. I also have been able to on a limited budget because we have travel plans and other things in the works right now so I didn’t want to break the bank. Also with Covid I enjoy having our savings account healthy so I decided to opt out of my normal splurges for material things which to me aren’t necessities and do more diy stuff, get creative as well as using stuff we had already.

We did the refresh of our entryway and formal dining room, adding some board and batten to a few walls, changing out my old decor for more modern and global bohemian pieces that I love that I know will be with us for years to come. I have stopped myself from buying things simply because they are on sale or because they are trendy. I want pieces I love and that are more neutral that will go with my style as well as remain in our home for years to come.. below are a few quick updates pictures of the formal dining room. Now I will be slowly bringing in the fall touches and wanted to share my inspiration mood boards for the colors and decor accents I’m working on adding this fall.  Above the images are of the refresh’s I did all on a limited budget, using mostly items I found at Goodwill or that we may have had, with the exception of a few new additions or collaboration pieces.

Probably will take down the layering plaid sign from behind the new leaf fall decor. Then will slowly decide which pieces I like the best here. The basket is from hobby lobby was only $3-4 on clearance going to add more filler and maybe another stem..

This was my color and inspiration board in July for upcoming fall decor. Joann’s fabric and Target are where I have picked up a few new items. Had the hops and some other Amber glass pieces from last fall so just added a few new pieces and loved the idea of adding brown leather...

My mantle is staying similar to last year. Added the glass pieces and hops from last year with popcorn kernels as filler which I feel adds those fall vibes along with some color and texture. The lanterns are for our outdoor patio waiting on the concrete, pergola, and then I will put them out there but for now like them here...

Here are a few fall inspiration pics and some of the decor I have started to play with. Next week I will have a lot more to share with y’all here as well as on my Instagram page. Be sure to keep an eye out. Going to cut this short since it is Saturday night and want to spend some time with my hubby since he just got home from working. Had an amazing day with my girls and we had lunch together this afternoon before my hubby had to work for the races but now he is home so off to spend some time with everyone but I will be back Monday with more fall decor to share. Also have my daughter’s bedroom refresh and excited for share her new mattress from Bed in a Box. Hope you are all having a great weekend. Peace love and light always
