An old classic with new life.

Everyone has to remember the Adidas shell toe sneakers from the 70-80's. I even had a pair in the 90's and the track suit for colder evenings when I would hit the gym. I loved the pants and still own a striped sleeve jacket in black. I was shocked to see them on my daughter's wish list this year next to her creepers and Vans. I loved them so much that I grabbed myself a black pair for upcoming festival season. I always need a good pair of black sneakers for all the outdoor concerts specially if it rains like last year and the pits turn into a mud ring. 

These are so popular this year even Urban Outfitters has them. Love this chic black with gold pair they carry. 

I went with the classic black with white stripes. This way I don't have to worry about keeping them clean. These will be taking the place of my black converse this year. 

Then of course the classic white with black stripes is another great option. They have all black and some cool colors as well. I purchased my daughter her pair at Journeys in our mall but I ordered myself a pair while shopping for my hubby online, he wears a size 15 sneaker so it is next to impossible to get him sneakers in the store, adidas had a sale and free shipping at the time. Wrapping last minute gifts as they arrive in the mail. Only waiting on one last package from Alex and Ani which is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. Had to get some last minute gifts for my Aunt and mother in law. Above outfit is a skirt I grabbed on eBay new for $9.80 yes under $10 for the leather Pam & Gela a line skirt with pockets. The motto style vest I got from Forever 21 online along with a distressed denim vest. Both Are for my daughter and the skirt is for me. It's awesome because we wear the same size so I can borrow her clothes and the other way around so we have one huge wardrobe. 

Last up was my ootd post for today. Wore a sweater I grabbed at Target on sale, some white distressed Vigoss boyfriend jeans and my new grey knee high boots I scored from Maurice's on sale for $26. Love them. My necklaces are by Fawninginlove and Lacey Ryan. Bracelets are of course Alex and Ani. 

Hope everyone is ready for the next couple of fun filled days. I love to give and I am super excited to see my loved ones open their gifts this year. I found some awesome things I know they are all going to love and best of all aren't expecting. That's the funnest part, to give them things you know they will love they aren't even expecting. Also I love that I can get my kids the items they wish for every year also. 

Off to finish cleaning my room, got a new French provincial chest for our bedroom. I have needed more storage for some time and I know my hubby isn't happy he went from having half the closet to a 1/4 of it now. Hoping I can give him back some space. Maybe not lol. I will be sure to share photos. I did a quick refinish job on it today, cleaning it up, painting the handles metallic silver and the chest a semi gloss white.
