Bedding from Z Gallerie

Finally purchased a new duvet cover for my bed, awhile ago I ordered some gray and white striped euro shams from Pottery Barn, then saw Z Gallerie put the Hampton striped bedding on sale so went and got the king duvet in aqua then ordering the Montecito aqua shams, that are reversible.  Anxious to see how the set all looks together with my decorative pillows.  I have the same pattern as the sham curtains but in dark gray and white, trying to do something that is matching but looks good together.  I also got some new place mats for my dinning room, planning to paint it a aqua or turquoise blue with white and bronze accents, a beach cottage kind of look.  Photos coming soon.

My newest business cards

I got a free package from Moo.com for the mini cards and ordered those awhile ago, was thinking about ordering the regular size cause I want to have my photos on back like my other ones I ordered from Zazzle.com but decided to stay with Zazzle I have ordered my business cards for party/event planning and cakes from there as well as other cards I have used in the passed.  My first order for photography cards I had a discount and free shipping for Zazzle and got two different style fronts then my photos on back, I finally decided on my logo for the website and blog, so used that on the front and added my email then phone number, the back is 5 different photos and then it has web site, facebook and blog links on side.  My first ones I posted and also got some free ones from another site and the mini ones from moo.  Moo.com ones were amazing for free offer just had to pay shipping, they are skinny and half the size of the regular cards but great for passing out or putting at businesses, I think next order I will try them for full size but I am already familiar with Zazzle since I ordered from there several times.  I hope everyone likes my logo I chose.  I love it.  Going to see it everywhere soon, using for my website and blog.

Below is the front of card and got them in pearl so they have a pretty shine to them, then the back side is five photos I took, in glossy.  Can't wait for them to come.  I still have a ton of the first few I designed and ordered plus freebies, but wanted to use my logo now that I have come up with one, mostly it isn't a logo more of a font design, but with photography logos are pretty standard.  Keeping it simple till the business starts to grow.

Pictures shown here are similar to the ones on cards, but I edited the ones on my cards using LR and adjusted some things, then top one of sunset in the Keys used a different closer up photo, but don't have those images saved on my iPhone had to remove most of my photos till my new iPhone 5 comes because the memory was full and having issues with it.  Still get an idea of the cards and will scan and post the originals when they arrive next week.  I had an amazing birthday, and things are going great, got the job, been learning a lot, business is going good applied for my papers with the state and city, filing for tax id and opened a bank account.  Have a session booked for next week to do portraits and can't wait to post some recent photos.  Coming next week for sure=).  Thank you for reading and please feel free to post comments.  Love to hear from everyone.

General hospital update, ideas and spoilers

Spoiler alert at end in case some people don't want to know what is up in coming. The rest is my own opinion of what is to come and on things happening.

Connie is now gone, wasn't expecting that but now that she is gone everyone thinks AJ did it. He is the last person we saw in the office with the gun but then nothing in between except her dead and Connie writing AJ in blood. Of course everyone assumes it is AJ but being a long time GH watcher things are never that easy lol. I believe it was Ava Jerome. She was taking to AJ and also wanted her gone cause of the Kiki and Silis (spelling) Clay, but remember Connie overheard Derek Wells refer to himself as Julian the she saw the info on Sonny's coffee business. She was about to tell Sonny when AJ walked in. Remember Ava was the second shooter in the Franco attempt that took down Olivia.

Then there is the Julian aka Derek Wells being Sam's dad. I believe he is going to open up specially being the one to save his own grandson. This will be an interesting story to watch unfold.

Last up my spoiler, I saw Robin is returning to GH, this is going to shake up the entire town. Patrick and Sabrina, Ana and Duke, then Brit's baby, which I believe is Dante and Lulu's real baby boy.

Can't wait to see what happens when Maxxie wakes up again, I hope her and Spinelli claim their baby and that Brit's baby is Dante and Lulu's.

Today was my birthday and thank you to all my friends and followers that emailed, texted, and messages me on social media to wish me a happy birthday. It was a great day spent with my man, my girls and my entire family including in laws. Friday is my shopping day but also got some great surprises from everyone:). I don't feel a day over 26. Lol. Happy Tuesday an have a wonderful week;). Lots of fashion finds coming Saturday after a day of retail birthday therapy along with unpacking my fall clothes and updating my wardrobe for this falls trends. Got some killer leather Tory Burch boots, juicy couture locket jewelry and key, leather TB jacket and found my Burberry trench and scarves. Fashion alert going to put together some must have multi purpose go to outfits for fall, been reading what will be trending as far as color, fabrics, prints and styles. A quick hint, leather is in, riding boots flat, oversized sweaters and jackets with boyfriend jeans, studs, very rock and roll or grunge but with a twist. Can't wait to share some of my favorite styles and looks. I have lots of leather boots, jackets, studs, jeans with worn look, baggy tops and scarves:). Excited to share also have some nail trends for fall and colors you must have. Navy, cranberry, mustard, purple, and browns are going to be must have colors for fall.

General Hospital

I haven't posted a blog entry about GH in awhile either, things were crazy with the summer and traveling.  I wanted to spend as much time with my daughters as possible, specially since my youngest started kindergarten this week.  I am adjusting to not having her home with me and the crazy hectic mornings getting two kids out the door for school.  The passed few days when I do have free time I have been taking a moment to relax and reflect.

Today's episode was a relieving one for me, I have hated Maxi keeping the secret about Dante and Lulu's baby, well should I say Spinelli and Maxi's baby.  I am so glad Ellie told Spinelli, but hoping it was real and not another dream.  I can't wait for that story line to come to an end, but to only think now what will happen with Dante and Lulu?  I hope that Brit Westbourne is carrying the other embryo they had, that Lulu had asked her to implant in her when she had the miscarriage.  That is the only thing I can think of when trying to figure out how Brit ended up pregnant, we know it isn't Patrick's baby, so that has to be what it is.  Then that would mean that Dante and Lulu are still having a baby, just not a little girl a little boy instead.

Then there is this Derek Wells, or Julian Jerome which I said in a earlier post I assumed that Sam Morgan's dad was going to end up being a Jerome, and now that is pretty much confirmed.  How Alexis hasn't recognized him or how he hasn't had an memories of her is weird but now that he is confirmed to be a donor match for Danny I think it will all come out.  Then the ending today how Connie figured it all out and was calling Sonny till AJ walked in with a gun.  I haven't heard any rumors about Connie's character leaving, maybe some of you other viewers and fans know more then me cause I haven't been reading spoiler alerts lately since I haven't had time, but hopefully AJ doesn't do something stupid that would be awful.

Next week I will do some searching and then thinking, put together some ideas in my mind of what I think is happening cause I think if you go back and read my old posts you will see that I was on point about Julian Jerome aka Derek Wells being Sam's dad and a possible match for Danny.  I usually can come up with some pretty good ideas of what is to come.  I also love to hear what everyone else thinks, tell me what you think is to come in Port Charles.

Alice + Olivia Dresses from Real Housewives of Miami

I have been meaning to blog about the fashion from the new season of the Real Housewives of Miami but with school starting for my daughters I have been so hectic.  I haven't forgotten and have a few drafts up for the New Jersey Housewives also.  For the Miami girls I have seen a lot of cute stuff and things I love but decided to do this post on the gorgeous dress worn by Joanna Krupa when shopping for her wedding and then the dress worn by Lisa Hochstein when her and hubby visited their new home to tour it and discuss the issues they are dealing with, with this home.

Both dresses are made by Alice + Olivia.  I love these dresses and all their dresses at that.  You can find some amazing deals online.  The red side peplum dress worn by Lisa is on sale now at Saks and other retailers, and I have found a couple cute dresses at Marshall's by Alice + Olivia in the passed.  Below are photos of both dresses, the long maxi dress is the one worn by Ms. Joanna Krupa and then the cute red side peplum dress was worn by Lisa Hochstein.  I have also included two links to places you can purchase.  When I googled them there are a lot of retailers carrying both dresses and again the red one is on sale now if you are interested and at half off or more=).   Got to love a good deal on a designer dress.

Sad to see summer coming to an end. We had a wonderful summer with our annual summer trip to the mountains, last year we did Tennessee side and this year North Carolina already have plans for a fall trip:). Then we did a short trip to Orlando, my mom, my daughters and myself and it was relating:). Had a lot of fun three generations of ladies from my family. Finished off with an amazing week in the Florida Keys and a trip down to
Key West. It was a great end to an amazing summer, bittersweet to see it end and have my youngest start kindergarten. She is excited and I am super excited for her just sad cause we have spent a lot of time together the passed six years and she is my partner in crime:).

Time for mama to pursue her career and passions while my girls go to school and learn. Excited to hear bout interview and if I got a position. They had three huge interview days with tons of local photographers all applying. August 16 is the date they said they would be in touch to let me know. I applied for photographer and assistant photographer, I want to learn as much as I can from others so a assistant position sounds good also. Both pay good and the hours are amazing, most important it is portraits an working with kids on location:). I want to pursue portrait photography doing family photos, newborns, children, teens and events. Being a second shooter for weddings is fun but I really want to do family and portrait sessions, plus love being outdoors.

I must say I have gotten really into landscape photography and when I am not working to learn more about portraits and family photography I spend my spare time taking pictures of the beach, flowers, insects, animals and anything outdoors. I have a few amazing shots I plan to frame:). Enjoy my photos and happy snapping

Received my Birchbox for August while I was out of town. Excited to see what they had this month so tore into it:).

Finishing school is the theme of the box this month. Starting out opening the box first thing I noticed was the Mally Beauty Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner in Sailor, retails for $15 full size. Love navy blue eyeliner right now and with fall coming going to look great with darker fall shades. This Pencil glides on and looks flawless:). Waterproof, goof proof liner from celeb makeup artist Mally Roncal- navy is the new black. Apply by gently tracing along your lash line. Let set or smudge lightly. Love this product:).

Next up is Malin + Goetz vitamin E face moisturizer, retails for $45 for full size. Spiked with hyaluronic acid and vitamin E this oil free formula nourishes all skin types. Massage a nickel sized amount to clean skin, it is also a primer. Love 2 in 1 products will be trying soon.

Pur~lisse pur~youth preserve age delay skin serum retails for $76. I have used this before and love it, light weight and doesn't feel greasy. Powered by peptide complex lotus lupine 5, this clinically proven anti-aging serum firms and soothes. Morning and night sweep a nickel sized amount over face and neck after washing. Have used this most of the summer, got as a gift and see the results big time:). Recommend for sure and the price is high but my neck and face look amazing, small price to pay for the amazing effects.

Whish coconut milk correcting gel, full size retails for $32. This anti-aging after sun gel targets wrinkles, unevenness, dryness and sun damage. Used this twice this weekend after the beach and pool, soothing, cooling and made my face feel soft. Lots of anti-aging products lately but since my 36 birthday is around the corner and summer has exposed my face to alot of sun, need the extra moisture for my face for sure. Apply morning and night generously to clean face and neck. I applied after showering after swimming or beach.

Last up Whish hair inhibiting deodorant swipes, full size retails for $16. From the shaving pros at Whish these wipes tackle odor and slow hair growth in one swipe. This went into my purse cause I love having easy to apply deodorant for on the go days, may be purchasing these if they prove to work well. Apply by sweeping across underarm in the morning or on the go whenever you need a refresher. Love the idea of the product need to try and let you know how it works.

Tamra Barney's nude and black lace dress from Vicki's party

On the finale of the Real Housewives of Orange County in true Housewife form they had a party, this time at Vicki's house. I love her decor and must say she has the most gorgeous home. A lot of things happened the we're interesting and I have to say I can't stand Vicki's daughter's husband Ryan. He is so rude and seems like there are some serious issues with control and temper there, poor Vicki.

The wardrobe this week was amazing. I loved Lydia's white lace and feather dress, also Heather looked amazing an not as dressed up but still super chic. Tamra had on a gorgeous dress, she actually had this listed on her eBay page for a few days a couple weeks ago and was tempted to order it. It is made by BCBG and is a gorgeous super cute party dress.

I am writing from my phone since I'm out of town today but will have a link to post and a style stealer look alike also:). Have some other stuff in the works for the reunion dresses also, saw the sneak peek last night and definitely am looking now for the cute dresses worn by the ladies:).

Black Leather Peplum top worn by Melissa Gorga from Real Housewives of NJ

Sorry been out of town and haven't had a chance to do any fashion or trend write ups in awhile.  Wanted to start off by saying I am sad that the Housewives of OC has ended but interested to see the show for Tamra's wedding and the new season of the Miami Housewives.  I live in South Florida so I enjoy watching it even though it isn't my favorite out of all the different cities.   I will have some write ups coming for some styles from the finale and more from the NJ housewives this weekend and early next week.

Last week I was in the Keys on vacation but I did get a chance to watch the episode while I was out of town and loved the top Melissa wore to the bar with Rosie, and crew.  It is a gorgeous leather peplum top and looked stunning on her.  I don't know for sure which one she was wearing but went searching on google and found a couple from high end, mid end and lower end.  I love to search for similar styles on a low budget and this week found a great comparison from Target.

Interview then vacation

Tomorrow I have an early interview with a photography company that specializes in child photography and events. Excited and nervous, looking to learn hands on and build up my experience. Right after we are heading out of town for our last summer vacation. Orlando was fun and relaxing nice to go and not do the parks. The Keys are calling me and can't wait to lay out, fish, swim and take pictures:). Fingers crossed my interview goes good. Interviewing for a assistant photographer, second shooter position and photographer position. Figure I need to start somewhere, I enjoy working for myself but I want to learn as much as I can and what better way then working with someone who has been in the business for over a decade.

Taking appointments for sessions now and working on rates. I have filed my forms with the city and county then have my client paper work and forms printed, business cards and been taking pictures of everything and anything I can to work on editing and skills. Also been working on my cakes and party planning business a lot now that my cousin is back in Florida and I have a trust worthy partner to help me out. I got overwhelmed with orders and had to turn away a lot of business but still have been making my creations and photographing it all:). Lots of photos coming soon and I have a FB page for my photography now. Already had one for my party and event planning along with baking. Want a place to put my photos and work out there, Facebook got me a lot of business with my cakes and party planning plus I met a lot of great connections and people:). Will update tomorrow how interview goes when we are driving to the Keys. When it is meant to be it all falls into place, so I believe if this is the path chosen for me it will happen if not something better is around the corner. Either way I am pursing this dream and goal one way or another:). Good night and enjoy the weekend, only two weeks till school starts here and I know I am enjoying every day and second I have with my daughters home.
