Bless Our Home Wreath for Fall

Here are some photos of my finished wreaths. This is one I have made before but recently sold the original so made a new one for my stores on Etsy and Storenvy. You can check them out at www.dlitecr8tion.storenvy.com and www.etsy.com/dlitefulcr8tions. I have more items and selection as of now on Storenvy cause it is free to list and sell. Etsy has fees but I get more traffic. I have sold the most on craigslist and Ebay as of now. But I am doing a craft show in 2 weeks so I have to make a ton. I will post lots of pictures as I make stuff, let me know if you see anything you like. For my blog followers I am offering either free shipping or 10% off your first order. I also have jewelry on my storenvy page. Let me know what you think=). Melissa

Polish and more polish

Figured I would squeeze in a quick blog. I have to check out the raffle copter cause my first contest ends officially today. Sunday. Yay! I can't wait to see who won what:). Please remember when entering my contests you must follow my blog that is the only have to thing required. Lol that was worded weird but anyways everything else is optional but for the main requirement you must follow my blog.

Tonight my oldest daughter, she will be 13 in Nov had a party for a fries of hers. It was a 13 th birthday party that was more like a sweet 16. She had the gorgeous dress and I painted her nails then did a pedicure. Also I took her to my hair lady to get her hair an makeup done. She looked gorgeous, almost a little to cute, looked like she was 16 or older. Mama isn't ready lol I want them to stay little forever. That isn't happening though she is getting big so fast and I could not be prouder of her. She is a cheerleader, straight a's, in algebra getting highschool credits and in gifted classes since she was in second grade. She takes this aerobics class and busts her little butt she is super athletic. She plays basketball too and loves to do sports and anything fitness involved. Amazing little gift that I have been blessed with. My little one is something else, super sweet and a total momma's girl my kids are my life. Best thing ever to happen to me and my best creation ever:).

I was up late last night with my horrible insomnia so was going through my polish. I realized how bad my nail polish addiction is it is almost as bad as my shoes, glasses, purses, belts and accessories lol. Okay I have a lot of everything. Even craft stuff, baking stuff, party decor and candle stuff. I am glad that I am a neat freak cause I keep everything pretty organized and it all has a place:).

I am posting a few pics of polishes and then my mani for the weekend, Paige's Julep Claire Mani and some swatching I did Thursday night;). My polish is Zoya Mimi I believe I will double check it is a purple with gold and iridescent sparkles not really like glitter cause it comes off easy thank God:). Gorgeous on. Check them out and I will post tomorrow my amazing eBay victoria secret purchases, I got some terry and velour pants with bling from victoria secret pink line that retail for over $49-69 each for $19-26 each:) love them. I love victoria secret pants for sleepin and everyday stay at home mom wear lol. Next to juicy couture they are my absolute favorite. I also have some amazing Home Goods and Kirklands finds that I got for a interior design job and for my own home, updating some rooms and always keeping my house nice:). Have a great weekend.

Wreaths and online stores

I have been selling my handmade wreaths for Halloween and Fall online, thru craigslist, ebay, etsy and storenvy.  I have to say I have yet to decide which one I prefer.  Two charge money and two don't.  Locally I have sold a lot and I have been making my latest ones with budget in mind.  I know a few years ago I wouldn't have wanted to spend more then 40-50 for a nice wreath.  Sure if you go out looking you can find them for that price but they usually aren't anything special, no detail, and very plain.

I had made 10 wreaths for Halloween and I am sold out of them.  I am still taking special orders and custom orders but made two more inexpensive ones for my online stores to see if people like them.

Here are some photos:

Today I am going to work on getting some good close up outdoor photos, I have to finish my front door.  I have been painting it and needs a final coat of paint.  I will post better photos later.  Please let me know what you think.  After these I will be making fall, Thanksgiving, Christmas, winter and everyday wreaths for my shops and will post more photos along with other items I have made=).

Have a wonderful Friday!

Wednesday think pink

Mid week here and got some awesome polishes and nail tattoos from my friend. She said she thought of me cause I love nail polish when she saw these cut pink ribbon nail tattoos. With October days away it is almost breast cancer awareness month.

I have cupcake orders for my baking business for two boutique events and a ladies church group for pink ribbon decorated and themed yummy dliteful creation cupcakes. Why not do my nails in support of a great cause. My girlfriend is a big breast cancer supporter she does the walks, raises money and more. You can find these tattoos for your nails at beauty supply shops and michael's craft store is where she found mine.

The polishes I got today are Essie trophy wife then china glaze special breast cancer awareness line I got exquisite and there was another Essie I have to look at the name. I will update on here shortly.

I tried on all three polishes. Essie Trophy Wife is gorgeous and I love blue, turquoise and teal colors so much, that and purple or black/almost black colors are a huge part of my collection. I'm not big into crackle and I use to have a lot of matte polishes a couple of years ago but around winter last year that was out. Crazy how quick some things come back. Anyways I also don't like the magnetic polish that much either, it's cool but my thumb never looks as cool as the rest and being a bit of an OCD perfectionist kind of person it almost makes me feel anxious looking at it lol. It is fun like I said but for a day I couldn't wear that all week or a couple days. It's so weird I get bored with a polish quick. I have a few that I wear for five days maybe six, with my toes I wear same the color for two weeks unless I have a special event or occasion then I will change them to match or coordinate with my dress or outfit. I am big into coordinating my wardrobe, accessories and nails. Ido like everything to be matched perfect just coordinated nicely.

Okay wandered off subject for a minute it's late and raining, I'm enjoying sitting on my back patio writing this. The Essie Trophy wife is a gorgeous color, has a nice shimmer to it and applied nicely with two coats. I won't be wearing it yet on my hands but it is in line for soon. Lol.

I painted the china glaze pink with a gorgeous almost iridescent pretty glimmer almost sparkle to it. I like pink it took me years to warm up to it cause being a rock girl and when I was younger big into punk, heavy metal, rock and underground local music I always have had a passion for dark everything. I wore red, purple and blue but in dark vamp shades. For a brief period I was going for manicure and pedicure every two weeks and would do a French or American maybe red for Christmas and green for st party's fat. Pink was never a must have or favorite. Now that I have two daughters I have begun to enjoy the pink a lot more. This china glaze is a keeper.

I did two costs, second coat was thick of the China Glaze then I added the nail tattoo. Was simple just like a fake body tattoo apply with a damp cloth, pressure for a few minutes, slowly peel off the back and there it is! Your pink ribbon. I stress slowly peeling off cause first one i saw the edge was stuck down so peeled off and some tore off. Be slow and take your time. It is so small I used a q-tip with water and pushed it down with that for 2-3 minutes give or take.

I always finish off with my Posche or Out The Door quick dry, today it was a coat of Posche since I just got a new bottle:). I think it came out super pretty. I will rock this for sure come October in support of breast cancer awareness month. Enjoy everyone and I got my Birchbox today will share my thought on my second box and this time I changed up my profile so I got betters things that I use and like;). Even got a color club nail polish. Everyone already got their's this month mine was lost so I just got it. Thinking of joining another one I saw tonight, I love the box subscription it's like getting a present every month:). Come on girls we all know we love presents. Girly stuff at that. I think it's the best:). Have a great evening, I am in the best mood I have been in over a week, feeling great and things are going really good. I am so happy more people have started following me and both my stores are doing great. I opened an etsy shop I had one for my jewelry but was over the prices. I decided with my crafts and decor items I would try store envy I just don't see the traffic like I got on etsy. More people are familiar with etsy. Store envy is great I love it and no posting fees or percentage of sales taken off. In one day I posted only four wreaths and I have jewelry, wreaths, decor and candles on storenvy, today only my four wreaths got more likes, shares and views then all my stuff on storenvy. Check out my shops and let me know what you think. Www.dlitefulcr8tion.storenvy.com and www.etsy.com/dlitefulcr8tions. Have 10% off till oct 15. Thank you everyone

Easy Glitter Removal

I know everyone has been pining on pinterest about using glue to put on your nails then polishing so you can just peel off the hard to remove glitter nail polishes.  I know I struggle with it often and sometimes avoid glitter all together, but I love glitter and all the new Indie brands with glitter, I just have to try them out.  While I was surfing the web I came across this product and googled to get a photo of it.

I of course am open to trying it going to check out where I can get it and how much it costs.  I personally don't like to peel or scrape anything off my nails, the feeling creeps me out makes me feel like I am peeling away my nail, ugh gross feeling.  I will update with where you can purchase it for the least amount and prices to update with.  If anyone has it or tried it let me know what you think, is it worth it??

Mezmerising Monday Manicure

Usually I don't always participate in the Monday manicure on occasion it happens to fall on Monday but usually just depends on when a color starts to get old or chips.

Sad I broke a nail and have a feeling my right thumb is going to break soon to caught it digging through my purse.

This Monday I pulled out an oldie but goodie one of my favorite shades by Essie called Mezmerised. Since I saw this on another blog I had to have it, purple and blue are my favorite colors. This shade of blue is exactly like its name sake mesmerizing:). I absolutely adore it and every time I wear it makes me feel happy.

I actually need to get some of the stain remover for my nails, I always apply a base coat but when I was receiving some of my new polishes a couple weeks back I was so excited to try them that I quickly applied them and since a couple were pretty dark with it being fall I have a little staining on a couple nails. Don't like that:(. If anyone has any suggestions or recommendations for a good product, even a home remedy that works I am open to them:). I saw a couple at Sally's the other day but I always research stuff before I buy or try.

On to the manicure, I first applied Butter London foundation base coat, I have never really used any other base coat except for Sally Hansen cause I always saved money buying the pricier polishes and then Sally Hansen's base and top coats always worked fine, but I bid on a set off eBay of butter London that came with this base coat and hardware top coat and all I have been using is this for a base.

After applying a thin coat of the nail foundation base coat I applied two coats of Essie Mezmerised and then a quick coat of Posche fast drying top coat. Everyone who reads my blog by now must have realized that unlike a lot of bloggers I am not into seche for my top coat. I swear by Out The Door and Posche. Love them both they both give me the shine and protection I love along with the fast dry I need as a mom of two that has little time to sit and allow nails to fully dry.

Enjoy the couple photos I snapped and when I get a chance to clean up my cuticles on my right hand better I will post of few more:). What is your favorite Essie colors? I just saw one earlier when I was surfing that I wanted to add to my wish list going to have to look and see what the name was, but I fell in love:). Hope everyone has an amazing week. My daughter has a party on Saturday night I plan to do her nails and toes so I will post photos soon plus it's monday lol I will have more polish photos by mid week I am sure and I have some reviews on perfumes, holiday home fragrances, more crafts and photos from my events this week🎉 Ty again to all my new followers. If you have any questions or products you would like to hear my review on just ask. I am trying to add and catch up on a lot of products I love or swear by then where you can find them for the best price. Be mesmerized.

Thank you to all my new followers..

I am so excited to log on to the computer today and see that I have gotten some new followers.  It hasn't been easy.  I have no idea how some people have over 100.  I have a facebook page for my baking and I have over 250 likes/fans.  That was easier cause all my friends would post a link and people would check out my work and then like my page.  Helped me get a lot of exposure and business.  I have considered a fb page for my blog maybe that would help get me more exposure also.

I would have contests on my fb page for a certain # who ever was that number would win free cakes, cupcakes or gift certificates and it worked amazing.  That is why I have started having giveaways and contests on here.  I hope to catch other bloggers attention then hope that they will share the contest or my link on their blogs and also I would love some advice on ways to get more followers.  It is hard cause I blog about so much.  With my business blog it is all cakes, baking, recipes, party and event planning stuff then home decor.  I started this blog cause of my love for shopping, finding amazing deals on designer products from beauty, fashion to things for my kids and home.  I love reading other blogs and checking out pinterest.

I am so excited to have any new followers it makes me super happy.  I hope the list continues to grow and more people start to enjoy my finds, photos, nail and beauty product reviews etc.  I love reading other blogs so I hope some of you are enjoying mine also.  Good luck to everyone who entered the contests and I promise I will continue to have them, the prizes will change from beauty products, to home products, jewelry I make, crafts and more.

Thank you again and you have no idea how much it means to me=)

Kmart outlet Ooh La La Bathroom Set

I have my daughters/guest bathroom decorated in hot pink with black and some zebra print (I love animal print it is a neutral for me) with a fashion theme. Right now we have a zebra shower curtain and all the accessories have purses, makeup, perfume bottles, high heels and dresses on them. I am not one to buy a full matching set I prefer to mix and match different collections then add my own little touches as i go. For months I have been looking for new set and stuff. I want to incorporate Paris into the fashion theme.

I went to the Kmart by my house which is ghost town can't even believe it is still open. I found out it is now an outlet. All the regular kmart and sears send the discontinued items to this store, they are already marked down but then they take more off at this store. I stumbled upon this cute perfume bottle soap dispenser then happen to find the cup, shower curtain a cute rug, then some miscellaneous towels from the collection. I didn't get the large bath towels, which I regret now cause i planned to find some Paris or solid towels to mix with. I now regret this cause I went back to grab them and they were gone:(. I did get a four pack of washcloths, two finger tip towels and one hand towel.

I found the pink toilet contour rug, hand towels and gray with rhinestone bath towels at Anna's linens on sale. I also picked up a cute storage box at Marshall's and am looking for little Eiffel tower silver statue and some cute Paris themed soaps from bath and body works collection. Once I paint and get everything set up I will post photos cause decorating is my passion and business:).

I'm also finishing my front door and porch, Halloween decor and my master bedroom and closet. Below are some photos of items I found and when I get on my laptop I will caption photos with prizes etc.

Fashion deals, maxi dresses.

I have two amazing deals for this week that I found and want to share. I love long maxi dresses. Lately I have gotten into the tie dye pattern also. I ran into Marshall's to grab my youngest some socks for her bob's, the kind that you can't see when you have the shoe on. They didn't have any in her size I actually found some at Payless next to Marshall's but I was walking by the back aisle where the clearance rack is and saw a long dress the looked interesting under all the shorter dresses. I pulled it out and it was a Gypsy 05 maxi! I have wanted one of these and a sky maxi forever but they are way to expensive for me. I am one who refuses to pay retail price for anything but I love designer brands. The quality is just amazing compared to regular cheaper brands.

I didn't have time to try it on and it was a large. I usually wear a medium but with my larger twins I can sometimes do a large as long as it doesn't make me look big or pregnant. I figured buy it now and try it on later at home so that is what I did. It normally retails for around 150-220 but was 49.99 then 39.99 when I got to the register it rang up 16.00??? I was shocked but didn't complain lol.

Next up I got this long blue and white tie dye tank maxi from victoria secret clearance sale online. My mom actually bought it for me as a late birthday gift it was on sale for $29.99 from I believe 79.99. I fits amazing. I have a medium and it is perfect. Super comfy and hugs all the right places.

The Gypsy 05 dress is 100% silk and has a tie dye kind of look to it. Also has a ruffle on top. It is strapless and has a fitted elastic right under the breast area then flows down. I haven't worn it yet but can't wait to get to:) this week I will for sure, it's been raining here all week so been sweats or jeans kind of weather.

That same day @ Marshall's I got my daughter a pair of tomahawks which are popular in middle school and high school age girls. They are moccasins and I remember when these were in style when I was a kid. I almost got a pink pair for my youngest cause they were only $12 the ones I got my daughter were Marshall's already lower price of $39.99 but on clearance for $15. What a deal.

I have been working on updating my kids bathroom which is a fashion diva themed bathroom with purses, shows, makeup. Perfume etc. I want a Paris fashion theme now and instead of hot pink and black I'm working in silver and a more medium pink shade. I found the shower curtain and accessories at the Kmart outlet by my house which I will have in a future post. Anyways I grabbed this Paris box for $2.99 for them to store their hair bands and clips in:). Cute isn't it. Fits the theme ad color scheme perfect.

Check out the photos of the deals below and I will get together a post for the amazing super clearance bathroom stuff I grabbed at Kmart. Please share with me your fashion finds, Marshall's/TJ Maxx deals these are two of my favorite stores even find amazing cheap priced OPI, Nicole by OPI, Deborah Lippmann and Essie there! I always love to see or hear about what everyone else is finding out there or trending:).

Purple is my passion of the week...

Just finished painting my nails for the weekend. In need of a fun girls night out. Things have been so crazy with my mom falling at Disney and then I have been taking care of her full time from my home while doing my daily mom and house wife duties. My hubby has worked 18 hours then comes home sleeps and works. It has been rough but I still have found an hour to do my nails while kids were showering.

I used my Sally Hansen 1.00 polish it is the hard as nails collection in rock bottom oh wait back up lol, I used Butter Nail Foundation for the first time in awhile as my base coat then two costs of Sally Rock Bottom. Things a gorgeous almost shimmering purple. On my ring finger I did two costs of Milani 3D Holographic 509 HD silver color. I topped the accent finger with Orly Can't Be Tamed which is gorgeous purple and silver different size glitter and hexs. It only needed on coat plenty of sparkles on the brush no need to dig. Then I finished it all of with a quick coat of Out The Door quick dry top coat.

People always ask me about my favorite base and top coats. Posting a photo of them below. I use Butter London cuticle oil or the OPI cuticle oil stick I carry in my purse cause I have a bad habit of when stressed or anxious picking skin and cuticles around nails. Then for base coats I like Butter London Nail Foundation, Sally Hansen nourishing growth formula base, and Sally Hansen Ridge filler. Next up is my top coats. I have always used Sally Hansen fast dry Insta Dri clear. I had a friend who likes to think she is a nail know it all that told me that seche was the best but I had a bottle for awhile and I thought it was thick then had shrinkage so bad my tips would literally chip same day. From being so thick I would see scratches, bubbles and lines so I actually threw it out.

My two all time favorites that if you have not tried are Out The Door and Posche. Then I also use ButterLondon Hardwear, Matte coat and Essie Matte About you. Out of the two mattes I like them both but Essie gives more of a velvet matte and butter London has a more dull matte. They both get two thumbs up from me. Both are harder to find in stores but Ulta usually always has the Butter London:). A lot of people don't realize that some of the men's manicure top coats also work as a matte top coat cause they are flat and have no shine these can be found at Sally's and most beauty supply, best part they aren't as expensive.

Check out my pictures below and I will be sure to edit the photos to add captions when my daughter isn't using my iPad or laptop for homework and studying. She listens to music and researches on one while typing on the other. Amazing, then when I end up getting my hands on them they are dead lol. Hope everyone has a good Friday and I have some fashion finds as well as more beauty reviews. It is also Birchbox and julep box time so I will have those products to share too.

If you haven't entered my two contests click on the links at the top of page in the menu bar, to get a direct link do you don't have to scroll through. Good night;).
